I'm not sold on this. I liked the premises, second chance and childhood crush are my favourite tropes but aside from that, there was nothing appealing to me in this book.

The characters and the plot, or lack thereof, are so flat. I don't see any chemistry between these two. In most of the chapters Jillian kept agonising over the fact she couldn't trust men, and basically changing her mind after five minutes or the next chapter in Levi's pov. Over, and over, and over, and over again. It was boring to say the least.

I absolutely loved the second-chance romance in Get Lost With You! Jilly and Levi were each other’s teenage crushes, and seeing those old feelings rekindle as adults was so heartwarming. Levi was amazing—not just with Jilly, but with her daughter, Ollie, too, and Ollie easily stole the show with her humor and charm. I really enjoyed the family dynamics at the Get Lost Lodge, and the way Levi was working through his strained relationship with his dad added some extra depth to the story. I also appreciated how mature the communication was in Jilly and Levi’s relationship—it made their connection feel so strong and real. And I completely understood Jilly’s hesitation with trust, but the way Levi made her feel safe was exactly what she needed to take that leap. This was such a sweet, feel-good read with the perfect mix of romance, family, and small town charm!

This was a cozy second chance romance between Jilly and Levi. Jilly is back in her hometown after her divorce and runs into her high school crush who is also back in their hometown. While all the right components were there I just really struggled with this book. It was a bit of a slow read for me and I didn’t really resonate with the characters or their story. Overall an enjoyable read.

Thank you Netgalley and St. Martin's Press for the ARC in exchange for my review!

Jillian Keller is a single Mom who helps her brother run Get Lost Lodge. After a painful divorce, she’s not looking for love, but she reconsiders after seeing Levi Bright, her brother’s best friend and childhood crush, is back in town. He’s home to help his Dad recover from surgery and reconnect with those he missed while he was away, including Jillian.

I thought this was a sweet, enjoyable read. I liked both characters and always love to see single Mom representation in books. I hadn’t read the first book in the series but didn’t feel lost (😉). This borders the line on being insta-love, because while they knew each other as teens, they jump pretty quick into a relationship. I usually like some tension or resistance, especially when the FMC insists it isn’t the best idea. That said, I too would have jumped at the chance to be with my longtime crush, so who can blame her?

I appreciated the open communication and maturity of the characters. They’ve both lived enough life to know that they don’t want to play games and Jilly has her daughter, Ollie, to consider as well. Levi makes it clear what his intentions are and goes at a pace Jilly is comfortable with. I liked their flirty banter and did feel the chemistry between them. And while this is closed door, the kisses and lead up are more descriptive.

"You make me feel more alive than I can ever remember feeling."

The premise of this book really caught my eye. I loved a friends-to-lovers romance, especially when they were childhood friends first. However, this book just didn't hold my attention and I really struggled to finish it.

Jilly was trying to find herself after her failed marriage as she raises her daughter, Ollie, on her own. She has this great support system in her brothers, her parents, and her small hometown. She finds a routine back in there that is fairly fulfilling to her. With Levi, bring back in his small hometown is almost bittersweet. His father is recovering from surgery, but their relationship has been strained ever since he left to pursue his culinary dreams. When he runs into Jilly again, they both feel the same attraction that they did as teenagers.

There is so much support and community throughout this book, which is an aspect that I really enjoyed. I loved that she helps out at her brother's lodge and really takes the reins in bringing in business like retreat and an activity weekend for her daughter's class. But beyond that, I struggled to really enjoy this romance. The chemistry was lacking and so much of it felt repetitive. There were too many cringey moments that were meant to feel sweet. Jilly refused to get out of her own way to fully commit to a relationship with Levi, It was frustrating to read and didn't feel well-written.

The lack of resolution with Levi's dad and with Jilly's ex-husband was confusing. Levi and his dad never have a mature conversation about their feelings and confront what has strained their relationship for fifteen years. The conversations are short and stilted, and suddenly everything is fine. We get to see Jilly have a conversation with her ex-husband but it feels so out of place and strange. It also doesn't feel like it has a solid resolution. I think this has something do with the fact that this seems to be a fluffy romance without too many deeper issues, but the lack of resolution felt frustrating.

Overall, the premise was so cute but for me it left something to be desired in the execution. The romance needed more chemistry and the resolutions didn't feel complete.

Jill and Levi fell in love as teenagers and have a second-chance now later in life. They've both moved back to their small town of Smile and are just hoping the timing is right. This has all the wonderful feels of small town, second chance romance. It is lower on the spice (not overly graphic but not closed door) but high on the romance and tension. I absolutely loved it! 4.5/5 stars for me; highly recommend! *I received a complimentary copy from the author/publishing company via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. First thing... Levi and Jilly are so stinking sweet and I loved routing for them. However, their relationship didn't feel developed enough. They knew each other as teens and it felt like that was their basis for their relationship- which I didn't buy. I would have loved to see them get to know each as adults.
I find the drama with her ex could have been developed a bit more. It seemed kind of anti-climatic.

Levi is the definition of he falls first and chases what he wants. Levi returns to his small town to build a new future for himself, and one of his goals is to make amends and win over Jilly again. He chases her with his whole being and is patient with her as she learns to trust him again. The meddling small town where Jilly is raising her daughter and helping her brother run Get Lost Lodge is the perfect setting for this second chance romance. He is a constant appearance in Jilly's life after he's hired as the new chef at the lodge. This one is for the fans of the small town vibes as two people learn to love each other again after their initial teenage love affair! Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the gifted eARC. All opinions are my own.

3.5 sweet second-chance romance stars

Do you have someone from your past that feels like the one who got away? You wonder what would have happened if you got together? That’s the story here with Jilly and Levi. They had crushes on each other in their teens, but their first kiss never happened.

Now, they are both back in their hometown. Jilly is divorced with an adorable daughter, Ollie, and Levi is back to care for his father, who just had surgery. Will the sparks still be there?

Jilly is helping her family with the Get Lost Lodge on a lake in Michigan. As they prepare for the summer opening, she keeps running into Levi, and Jilly finds she still has sparks with him!

Levi went to culinary school and found success with restaurants in Vermont, but he wants to be closer to family now. His dad is still very disappointed that Levi didn’t go into the construction business with him.

Jilly and Levi worked for me as a couple, and I rooted for them to find a second chance at romance. I loved that their town was called Smile. Jilly is cautious after a disastrous marriage and protective of her daughter, and I hoped she would give Levi a fair chance.

I enjoyed this one and didn’t realize it was the second in a series. I will have to read about that one soon!

This is my first book by this author. That being said, I will admit... I liked it way more than I was expecting. Second chance romances are a big weakness of mine, and this had everything I could have possibly wanted in a book. Lots of fun times and very little problems. I will definitely be reading more after reading this!

I want to personally thank NetGalley, as well as the author, publisher, and anyone else involved in providing copies, for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I want to thank the publisher and Netgalley for allowing me to read and review this arc.

This was such a cozy, second chance romance. Levi and Jilly were so sweet and wholesome, and i loved all of the interactions with Ollie. I absolutely love the Keller siblings, and I am excited to read Grayson's story next!

Levi and Jilly grew up together and went to the same high school. With both of them being afraid to share their mutual feelings for one another, they go their separate ways. 15 years later, they both wind up back home in Smile, and neither want to waste another second being apart.

This book was so fun. The town of Smile gives Gilmore Girls vibes with the nosey neighbors and townies that overstep into personal matters. My only complaint is that I felt like it moved really quickly in the beginning and dragged a bit in the middle. Like we jumped into a relationship really fast in the beginning, and i feel like it took away from the middle of the book. But other than that, it was amazing!

Jillian comes back home after divorcing her husband for what he did. She now has a young daughter and a very cautious nature when it comes to any sort of relationship with the male species.
Levi has just returned home from doing what he has always loved. Being a well known chef was always his dream, but he needs to get himself together and figure out what his next steps are.
When Levi and Jillian realize they're both home again, the sparks fly, but Jillian refuses to be hurt again by any man, much less Levi.!
Her first crush caused some serious self respect issues, and she won't let that happen again. Levi has other ideas.
I found this book to be cute, charming and an easy read.
If it's warm outside, head to the beach with this one. If not, crawl up in a comfy chair with some hot chocolate. Either way this read is worth the time.

I rounded up. This was a cute small-town/second chance romance. Not a lot of major tension, just a sweet story with little conflict. I definitely want to read Beckett’s story and I’m sure we will get Greyson’s story soon.

I received an arc from netgalley and the publisher.

Jillian Keller finally has her life well figured out. Her daughter Ollie is thriving, the Lodge her and her brothers run is booked for the summer, and is even expanding to hosting events off season. She loves her life in her small hometown that put her back together after her divorce. Then she goes to pick up her meddling best friend at her high school reunion and thinks she caught a glimpse of her high school crush who moved away before they could ever be something.

Levi Bright has moved back home, he left at 17 to chase his dreams of studying at culinary school, and becoming a chef. He had been thinking of moving back home for a while, but her dad having surgery gives him the perfect push. So running into his childhood crush, and best friend's little sister Jilly is the most he can ask for.

They slowly start to see if what they almost made happen as teens is still there, and this time Levi won't let the bro code get in his way of pursuing the woman of his dreams

I really loved getting to visit the Keller family and Smile island again. Watching as another one of the siblings falls in love with the backdrop of Get Lost lodge was so much fun. The characters were likable, and the romance was believable. I just felt that the conflict was a little over the top then resolved too quickly. No aspect of this book went deep enough, it all felt very fast and surface level, but nonetheless this was a fun and enjoyable story.

I really loved this one! I am not the best at writing reviews sometimes, but sometimes books take you by surprise and this one did just that. I got invested a few chapters in and couldn't put it done. It was so good! I highly recommend this one.

I love a small town romance and especially a second chance one. I enjoyed watching as Jilly and Levi reconnected, however I felt like their relationship was missing some depth. I would have liked to see them rekindle their romance over time versus diving in head first. I just felt like things moved a little too fast between them especially since Jilly was a single mom that had been through a messy divorce. She was portrayed as being careful and level headed, and as much I love to see a fmc throw caution to the wind this romance was just too fast. I also sometimes had an hard time following whose chapter was whose; as they flipped between Jilly and Levi. Overall a good, light romance read if you don’t read too much into things.

It was sweet second chance romance. I loved getting to revisit Get Lost Lodge and the little town of Smile. I felt like we didn’t get enough Ollie and Levi though which was a shame. I liked the characters and the storyline but I wish there was a little more tension. It just felt like everything was too easy and breezy. Still worth the read and I’m anticipating that this will not be the last in the series the way the book started trying to set up other side characters with romances.
