I was only able to get 50% through this book. There were a couple of reasons for this. 1. This started out a little corny for me. It is written as a closed door romance, set in a small town as a second chance.

While I think there is a lot of potential here, the insta love spin on 2nd chance + single mom lets instantly bring the kid involved + the corny names + locations and town... It was just too hallmarky for me.

I liked it! If you are a fan of Erin Hahn's books, you'll enjoy this one.

The second in the interconnected standalone Rock Bottom Love series, Get Lost with You follows the second-chance romance of Jilly and Levi. Jilly is the sister of book one's MMC and Levi is a long-time friend of the family (for all of you brother's best friend fans).

This is ultimately a very sweet romance with only minimal drama. The two have known each other for years (though Levi has been gone) and have, at least, liked each other a lot since they were teenagers. Lots of longing in the early pages, but a pretty quick decision to get together.

If you read my review of Love, Naturally, you'll learn that I had major issues with the setting and description of the small Michigan town the books are set in. The good news is that the description is much more minimal here (there are still mentions of mountains, ugh!). I received an early copy, so I definitely hope the Mackinac/Mackinaw mistakes get hammered out in the final proofreading. Pro tip everyone, if you are talking about the city it is Mackinaw, if you are talking about the bridge, it is Mackinac!

What would you do if you found out that your unrequited childhood crush wasn’t actually unrequited?

First off, Sophie Sullivan quickly became an auto-buy author for me with her sweet romances. Second, I’m a sucker for small-town romances, and this one didn’t disappoint. I loved getting to know another member of the Keller family, and Levi was an absolute sweetheart. The way he was all-in from the beginning had me completely drawn in.

I can’t wait to return to Smile for the next book in this series!

Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin’s Griffin for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

While a typo in the first sentence of a book almost made me put it down out of spite, I am glad I tried to get into the story. This is a minimal conflict cozy rom com, if you're up for a beach read - it's quick, it's cute but it's not memorable. While the writing and pacing was pretty good so kept you going, the characters lacked depth. The best friends didn't really get enough air time to understand their bonds and the MMC is straight out of a Hallmark movie, sweet, devoted and utterly without any personality beyond a chocolate lab. It delivers on the cute and stress free story, but needed more depth to get to a 4 star for me.

Super cute and easy to read, closed door romance which is perfectly fine. It had very low angst and drama.

I’ll be honest, I wanted to love this book a lot more than I did. Personally didn’t feel like I connected all that well with the characters until the very end of the book. This book was well written, it just didn’t draw me in how I was expecting it to.

I loved this book just as much as the next one. It was such a cute book and again, will automatically read anything this author comes out with from here on out!

I'm so sorry but I had to dnf this at 17%. I could get over the mass amount of typos because I know extra editing can be done, but I can't get over how mundane, boring, and basic the plot is. I struggled so hard just to get to 17%.

Thank you to SMP and NetGlley for a chance to read and review this book.

I didn’t love this title. I liked the female lead and the cast of characters. The setting and plot was good but not as strong as I might normally like. As much as there wasn’t « anything » wrong with the male lead, there were a lot of antagonistic behaviours or traits that he exhibited that I find are normally reserved for the ex boyfriend or a hopeful lover and not the main male character! Levi has a lot going for him but his boldness with Jilly was a bit jarring. I think that if their relationship as teens or kids had been fleshed out a bit more it might have been more believable that they were so close so quickly. It just didn’t do it for me.

A sweet second-chance romance. Some family issues. Heartwarming moments. Kind of wordy in places and I tended to skip over that. When they became intimate I breezed past that, too. It wasn't steamy or overly detailed though, which I appreciate. Adorable little girl added to the story. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy. My review is voluntary.

A new heartwarming romance from Sophie Sullivan that will have your heart being pulled on and your soul feeling like it's been wrapped in a warm blanket. Sophie Sullivan is an incredible author known for her banter-filled closed-door romances, and Get Lost With You is her writing at its best. As a Sophie Sullivan lover I was thrilled to receive an advanced copy of Get Lost with You and can't say any more without potential spoilers. Any closed-door romance fans will love Sullivan's newest book.

3rd person POV
Dual POV
Single Mom
Brother's Best Friend
Third Act Breakup
Small Town
OMD (small in the form of her ex husband)
CLOSED DOOR - build up on page but no full scene

Ok, now that we've got the bases covered, here's the actual review.

I really liked this book. It was my first by Sophie Sullivan and she really hit all the points I hoped she would. First of all, that cover!! It's so cute. I immediately requested it on NetGalley when I saw it.

Then you have the premise - single mom who had a crush ages ago on a guy who left town ONLY to find out he's back and likes her too. Sign me up!

The story of these two was filled with tension, pining, and tender family moments. Our MMC was down BAD for his girl. He didn't hesitate to pursue her once he realized the feelings were mutual.

It has to be said too that there are several side characters in this that really round out the story. Small town needs that close knit vibe, and Sophie delivered it.

I would recommend to anyone who likes the tropes listed above. Well worth the read.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a chance to read early. Congrats on the amazing book!

A small-town lake setting, a single mom, and a second chance with her high school crush, Get Lost with You has all the makings of a cozy, feel-good romance. It brings together the best friend's little sister/ brother's best friend trope with a touch of workplace romance, making for a sweet, slow-burn love story.

I loved returning to this world and the charming island setting, it felt like the perfect escape. But while I enjoyed the premise, this one didn't hit quite as much as the first book in the series for me. Some of the minor characters acted in ways that didn't feel consistent, and the grand gesture didn't fully work for me. That said, the small-town charm and heartfelt moments still made it an enjoyable read.

If you love small-town romances with a mix of second chances and close-proximity workplace dynamics, this might be one to check out!

The Keller family is BACK!!!!!!!!! I missed them so much, and I knew this book was going to be a sweet one, Jilly and Ollie get their story and I loved that for them, and LEVI!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ugh he’s a DREAM!!!! I loved how there is history between them. Levi and the Keller’s grew up together so he’s no stranger, and now he’s back in town and this time he’s here to stay, and seeing that Jillian is also living there he has even more reasons to stay in town. Did I forget to mention that he’s a chef? This romance was so smooth, because they have had a crush on each other since the beginning, the way Levi loved on this woman!!!!!!! The ending brought me to tears…. Sophie did it again! I can’t wait to read more about them, because there are so many great things happening in their world that I wish I was a part of it lol.

Overall this story was okay. I think I would have appreciated it more if I had the read the first book in the series. The author does a good job of filling in the gaps, but I still feel like I was missing out on a little bit of the back story.

I enjoyed the chemistry between Levi and Jillian and how well Ollie and Levi got along. Get Lost sounds like a magical place to visit.

3.5-3.75 rounded up.

This was a cute rom-com set in a small town with lots of interconnected characters. I didn't read the first story in the "Rock Bottom Love" series, but I enjoyed the story of Jillian and Levi reconnecting after years apart. She's the younger sister of two of Levi's good friends, so she was off limits during high school. He left for on a culinary scholarship and hasn't been home to their island town in Michigan since. Jillian is recovering from hitting her rock bottom, returning home a couple years ago after a messy divorce including lies and financial indiscretion by her then-husband. She's gone into business with her brother, rehabilitating and old lodge.

This was a lighthearted and fun read. I especially liked Jillian's daughter and the interactions she had with Levi and her uncles. Her class trips and the town interactions with the lodge were great. I liked Levi's story arc with his father, the reasons why there is tension between them, and the slow and steady rebuilding of their relationship. The romance between Jillian and Levi was sweet and I appreciated the closed-door/fade-to-black aspect of this book; however, is it strange to say that there may have been too much kissing? Haha! For being a book with no intimate scenes, I felt like the build-up toward the FTB moments were a little overdrawn. The ending also did a good job of wrapping everything up, but there were multiple chapters that felt like "the end" of the book, if that makes sense. It almost felt like I read 3 epilogues instead of one cohesive finish to the story.

Overall, I would read more from this author. I enjoyed the sweetness and even dropped a couple of tears at some of the tender moments, but a couple tweaks could have taken this from good to great for me as a reader.

Get Lost With You by Sophie Sullivan offers a charming, if predictable, escape to small-town romance.
Following a recent divorce, Jillian and her daughter find themselves back in Smile, Michigan, where Jillian reconnects with her old school crush. The familiar backdrop of her childhood home and the sparks that reignite between the two create a cozy and nostalgic atmosphere.
This novel delivers on classic romance tropes like second chance romance and small town charm, and fans of Hallmark movies will undoubtedly find it a delightful read. The story is easy to consume, and the supporting cast adds depth and warmth to the narrative.
However, I found myself wishing for a bit more emotional depth and higher stakes. The overall tone felt a tad too light and predictable, leaving me wanting a stronger emotional connection with the characters and their journey.
Overall Get Lost With You is a pleasant and heartwarming read for those seeking a light and fluffy escape into a world of small-town romance.
Thank you to NetGalley, St. Martins Press, and St. Martin's Griffith for this advanced copy! You can pick up Get Lost With You on February 11, 2025.

Sophie Sullivan is back with another charming story in *Get Lost with You*. Set in the quaint little town of Smile, it follows Jillian Keller, a single mom who's all about keeping things steady as she juggles raising her daughter and helping out at the family’s Get Lost Lodge. That is until Levi Bright stirs things up by returning to town after making a name for himself as a chef in the city.

The vibe between Jillian and Levi is fantastic, with their slow-burning romance feeling real as they both deal with their past issues. The setting of Smile is like a character in its own right, and the lodge serves as a perfect backdrop for heartwarming moments.

With themes of family and rediscovery sprinkled throughout, this book goes beyond just the love story. For anyone who enjoys small-town romances that mix sweetness with some spice, *Get Lost with You* is definitely worth checking out. Sullivan’s fun and warm writing makes this a feel-good read that’s sure to leave you smiling.
