This had so much potential but unfortunately despite having many of my favourite tropes I had a really hard time getting through this book.

My biggest problem with this book is that I just didn’t feel anything between the main characters and it all just felt way too easy. My favourite things about the second chance trope were generally missing - I couldn’t feel any longing or that knowing the other person so deeply and being desperate to get them back.

Overall, a bit of a disappointment especially after I really enjoyed the author’s previous book.

I love Sophie’s books. Every book she has written before this one was a 5 star. This book just missed the mark. It was, to be honest, boring. The characters weren’t engaging and thus neither was their story.
I did love going back to Smile and Get Lost, but otherwise this book was just blah.

This book was a nice cozy romance. I thought that there may be a more issue with her ex but there didn't seem like there was much of that. I would recommend this book..

This is a super cute romance between a si fake mom and her brother’s best friend. I really enjoyed their dynamic and how her daughter fit into their lives. I did have issues with the pacing, which is why my rating is not as high as it would have been.

This weekend I got a chance to spend some time outdoors hiking in Arizona - which coincided with reading Get Lost With You, which involves some hiking, too, but in Michigan. The sun was shining, the views were great, and I, of course, brought my kindle along to take a picture. I think you can enjoy this book even if you aren’t outdoorsy, but I really want to go to the lodge!
If you enjoyed Love, Naturally, Sullivan’s previous release set in Michigan at the Get Lost Lodge, I think you’ll love revisiting the location and these great characters! Jilly gets a second chance with the boy she had a BIG crush on growing up, when he moves back to the small town of Smile. He’s friends with her brothers, and he is a chef who left for culinary school and then worked in Vermont for many years. I especially loved his interactions with Ollie, Jilly’s daughter that readers got to know in Love, Naturally.
You can read and enjoy this book as a standalone, but since there are a few weeks before it publishes I do recommend checking that book out in the meantime. Thanks to NetGalley and St Martin’s Griffin for an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

OHH how I love small-town romances. This was my first book by Sophie and I was super excited to get my hands on this one.

The book jumps straight in to a cutesy romance between Jill and Levi. Jill is a divorced mom trying to move on and helping out with the Get Lost resort while Levi is a chef returning home to help his father post surgery. Turns out, these two knew each other growing up and HAD CRUSHES ON EACH OTHER (Levi was her brothers friend!) but neither ever spoke up. Now, years later, they reunited and give those crushes a chance.

This is such a cute story about starting over, reconnects and giving love another try. These 2 characters are very opposite (minus the avoidance) but they fit so well together and it was very much a feel-good romance.

3.5 Stars.

2.5| Overall, this was a quick and mindless read. Unfortunately, it lacked any depth and was far too cliche and cheesy for my taste. While the town is quaint, far too many characters are introduced too fast. The plot itself is also quite weak. The conflict in the book didn't make much sense and came out of nowhere, which made the main character, Jilly, quite unlikeable. There isn't much growth between Levi and Jilly either because they have known each other since childhood. We barely get any scenes of them getting to know each other again, and the flashback scenes are few and far between, making the relationship move unrealistically fast. I also found Jilly's parents quite unlikeable regarding the house situation. It seemed out of character for the tight-knit dynamic built throughout the book. I found the issues with Levi and his father realistic and enjoyed that, unlike every other issue in this book, it was worked through, not solved, in one conversation. I wish I had seen more scenes with Levi and Ollie and how that dynamic developed. The side characters were okay but not very memorable. I enjoyed the scenery descriptions throughout the book, but they sometimes felt too long. This wasn't a bad book per say, but not very memorable or something I found myself thinking about.

Get Lost With You by Sophie Sullivan is an utterly charming small-town romance that feels like a warm hug. The story of Jilly and Levi rekindling a long-buried connection is filled with sweet moments, playful banter, and cozy scenes of lodge life that make Smile feel like a second home. Jilly's cautious approach to love and Levi's gentle persistence create a heartwarming dynamic that keeps you rooting for them. While the pacing occasionally felt a bit predictable, the blend of family, community, and romance made this an endearing and satisfying read. Perfect for anyone who loves second chances with a side of heartfelt charm!

What a sweet second chance romance!

Jilly & Levi were both likeable characters and their romance was very much "it's always been you" vibes. Their romance is sweet and will give readers butterflies. I also liked the childhood friends to lovers trope too. It gave the romance a epic feeling. These two had good chemistry too. This is closed door so don't expect any spice but there are plenty of swoon worthy moments to gush over.

The small town sounded adorable. The townspeople were a lot of fun and the town itself was charming.

Not much happens plot wise, the drama is mostly from the main characters' families. If you enjoy character driven stories, this one fits that bill.

A cute second chance romance!

I love everything Sophie Sullivan writes but being in Smile is one of my favorite settings, especially the Get Lost lodge. This story about Jilly and Levi (and Ollie!) was fantastic. A bit of a second chance romance, these two find their way back to each other after high school pining that never amounted into anything.

I loved Jilly's character arc as she learned to be brave for herself and have the life she wanted, not just the one that was going to make her content or feel safe. Change is something we all struggle with, and I really related to the struggles she had as part of her journey.

I loved this low angst, friends to lovers book! If you’re looking for a light, low stress read this one is for you!!

I went into this totally blind. I had not read any of Sophie's work before and let me tell you, I will absolutely start after reading this, It was tender, and charming, and it felt like falling in love. I adored Levi and Jillian so much and was so excited by how their relationship formed from being two teenagers with crushes to adults with an understanding of their feelings. I loved this and can't wait to read more from Sophie!

I received this book for free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was delighted to return to Smile and see what happens to Jillian. This book is the second in a series but can be read as a standalone, though I think the experience is better with background from the first. This was a second chance, friends to lovers romance. Levi was a great MMC and had the perfect temperament for Jilly. I am a fan of dual POV and this was no exception. I felt like Jillian’s anxieties around relationships was believable- especially with a daughter. I like that her relationship with her family is so strong and that they were able to help her get out of her own way.

Well now, this was just delightful. I really like the first in this series so was excited to get the ARC of the second. Sophie Sullivan sure knows how to write a setting you just want to jump into!

Jillian Keller’s character resonated with me right away—she’s grounded, organized, and completely focused on raising her daughter while managing the family business. She’s built a life for herself, but it’s clear she’s still holding on to some unresolved emotions, especially when Levi Bright, her older brother’s best friend, comes back to town. The chemistry between Jillian and Levi is undeniable, and their reconnecting after years apart was a joy to watch. It’s always fun to read about characters rediscovering love that never fully had the chance to blossom.

Levi is the perfect balance of ambition and vulnerability, and I loved how he came back to Smile, not just to pursue his culinary dreams, but to reestablish connections with the people and place that shaped him. Watching his relationship with Jillian evolve, especially through their shared history and feelings that never quite went away, was incredibly satisfying. But what really tugged at my heart was the way Levi and Jillian's bond deepened not just between them, but also through his connection with Jillian’s daughter, Ollie. It was a beautiful, tender portrayal of how love can grow in unexpected ways, even when it seems like the timing isn't quite right.

The only part of the story I felt could have been explored more was the potential conflict between Jillian and her Ex Andrew. Given the dynamics of the situation, I was expecting a bit more drama or tension there, especially when it comes to Jillian and Levi's relationship. However, sometimes less drama is actually a good thing, and this story is proof that a romance doesn’t need an abundance of conflict to be compelling. The simplicity and sincerity of their connection were enough to keep me completely hooked. I’d definitely recommend this book to anyone who’s a fan of second chances and small-town charm.

Books are the perfect escape and this one came at just the right time. Charming, cozy, and cute; this second chance romance let me filter out all the noise of the real world and transport myself to a small town called Smile where I met Jillian and Levi and the adorable Ollie.

Jillian and Levi crushed on each other hard as teenagers, but everything got in the way. Levi left town to follow his dream of a career in the culinary arts and Jillian married young and started a family. A decade later, Levi is back in Smile where Jillian returned years before with her young daughter when her marriage fell apart. Time did nothing to cool the attraction.

The book has all the sweet stuff I needed: small town, close knit family, cute child, a man who cooks, and a second chance at love. It was an oasis of comfort and the ideal distraction from the chaotic real world.

Get lost with you is the romance equivalent of a cozy fantasy novel. It’s relaxing and romantic which is perfect for a vacation or taking a break from a busy day. The characters are loveable and the food sounded fantastic. I haven’t read the first book yet but I eagerly anticipate the next one!

I typically avoid the second chance romance like the plague, but Sophie Sullivan nailed it! I adored these characters and was so glad that she continued the Rock Bottom Love Series!
