I sadly had to DNF this one. I got to 25% and I still wasn’t pulled in, so I had to cut my losses. I’m so sad about this because I love Sophie Sullivan and I was looking forward to Jilly’s book. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this arc ebook in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

“Get Lost with You” is a second-chance romance that follows Jilly and Levi after he moves back to their hometown. Not only did Jilly have a crush on him in high school, but he’s also her brother’s best friend. While they both still harbor feelings for each other, Jilly is cautious as she doesn’t want her and her daughter to get too attached in case Levi leaves again.

The pacing in the middle of the book was a bit slow, but it picks back up toward the end. Overall, this was such a sweet and lighthearted read. You can’t help but love Ollie, Jilly’s daughter, and the entire Keller family! “Get Lost with You” will be published on February 11th, 2025, so in the meantime check out the first book in this series, “Love, Naturally.”

Thank you to Netgalley and St. Martin’s Press for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was a sweet Hallmark type of vibe novel of a second chance romance in a small town setting.

Read if you enjoy:
*** Small town romance
*** Brother’s friend
*** High school crushes that never faded away
*** Finding love again after divorce
*** Closed door romance

I enjoyed the writer’s style of writing; it was a super easy and sweet read . For me, this felt almost “Insta Love.” I know that the characters knew each other from childhood and had crushes back then, but it seemed a little “jump right in” for the MMC. The FMC was very skeptical of believing in love after her divorce, so many of her reaction to things stemmed from her mistrust. That got frustrating at times cuz it kept popping up. This novel perhaps just didn’t vibe for me like I want a romance to.

However, I would definitely try another novel by the author in the future.

Thank you to Netgalley and St. Martins Press for the ARC of this novel; all opinions are my own.

This book wastes no time getting into the romance between Levi and Jill. Levi is a chef returning home to Smile to help his dad after surgery and put down some roots. Jill is a divorced mom and sister to Beckett and Grayson from the first book and is helping them with the Get Lost resort. Both Levi and Jilly had crushes on each other growing up and nothing came of it due to 2 year age gap. Flash forward 15 years and nothings in their way now. I wish there was a little more to the story, maybe a little more conflict or something. It was pretty rosy for most of the book. This is a true closed door book, and good to check out from library/KU if you read book 1.

Thank you St. Martin’s Press for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

If you’re looking for a small town, second chance romance, check out Jilly and Levi’s story. Childhood friends to not seeing each other for years to falling in love fast and furious. Jilly works at a lodge with her brothers and Levi is a chef, who recently moved home and is planning on starting up a food truck business in town. Levi helps out around the lodge and falls head over heels for Jilly. Jilly struggles to accept the love because of her divorce from her ex. Overall super cute romance. I enjoyed reading it.

Back then, I wanted you to kiss me more than I wanted the second Hunger Games to release.”
-Single mom X professional chef
-Childhood crush
-Small town
-⚠️ 3rd-person pov
💥WAR IS OVEEEEER💥
What is wrong with you people are ALLOWED to change their minds. A restaurant, a truck, or a lodge, he is cooking, and that's the point.
Both MCs felt like two horny teenagers instead of two 30-year-old fully adults
Authors....please, stop writing romances from a 3rd-person pov. Thank you.

"Get Lost with You" is the second book in Sophie Sullivan's" Rock Bottom Love series. This book is centered around Jillian, a single mom who is raising a little girl while licking her wounds over her divorce. Though her marriage had been loveless for a long time, Jillian still wonders what went wrong. She's surprised when her high school crush, Levi, moves back to town to determine the next steps in his culinary career. While the two were both interested in each other in high school, they were too scared to act on it. But now they're older and determined to not miss out. But will Jillian be able to move on from her divorce enough to give Levi a chance?

I thought this was a cute, sweet romance. However, I was a little frustrated by the third-quarter breakup over a rather silly reason. Plus I felt that it was all forgiven too easily. Overall, this was a quick read! Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

There were a couple moments I was confused about who was who because of the large cast of characters but overall this was an enjoyable read

Before I begin, I would like to thank Sophie Sullivan for allowing me to receive a NetGalley copy of her upcoming novel, Get Lost with You, which is the second book of her Rock Bottom Love series and will be available on Amazon on February 11th, 2025.

Jillian Keller always strives for routine and structure and is happy with her current life at Smile. She likes raising her young daughter with her family’s support and helping her brother run the Get Lost Lodge and doesn’t want anything to disrupt her current routine. Levi Bright pursued and succeeded in pursuing a culinary career but realizes that there’s something a big city is missing. He returns to his hometown, Smile, and wants to reconnect and bring elevated comfort food to the community he has always loved. Jillian and Levi meet again after several years, and unknowingly mutual feelings rekindle. But Jillian has already been hurt in the past, and she’s unsure how to navigate the possibility of dating her brothers’ best friend, and how Levi will impact her daughter’s life. Can Jillian have the courage to let another person in her daughter and her lives and start a new romantic relationship?

This book is fantastic. You have Jillian, a young, kind, beautiful, hardworking woman who is committed to helping the lodge thrive and providing the best life for her daughter. You have Levi, a young, charming, sweet, and handsome young man that loves cooking people food and wants to strengthen relationships with members of his hometown. I loved how Jillian and Levi interacted with Jillian’s daughter, Ollie. Ollie was wonderful, and I liked how supportive Jillian’s friends and family were of her throughout the entire story. The interactions between the main characters were sweet, funny, and thoughtful. I liked how the characters discussed topics such as grief, communication, and healthy relationships. Overall, if you like great family dynamics, cute kids, delicious food, wonderful banter, complex characters, and sweet second-chance brothers’ best friend small-town romance with a bit of spice, then I would highly recommend this book. Sooooo good! Fun, sweet and sexy! Refreshing how they said what they were thinking instead of keeping it in.

You can't go wrong with a Sophie Sullivan romance. Book 2 in the Rock Bottom Love series is a classic example of a second chance at love, small-town romance that's affecting and playful. The perfect palate cleanser for when you have been ripped apart by a depressing, non-HEA book. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Sophie Sullivan is romantic comedy gold. Jillian and Levi's story is so sweet. While back at the Get Lost Lodge, it was great fun to get some updates to Presley and Beckett's love story from book one of this sweet and fun series. Highly recommend to fans of Falon Ballard.

A cute small town romance, perfect for readers looking for main characters a little more world weary rather than total ingénues. A nice change of pace to see a single mom get a happily ever after.

“It wasn’t until I came home, until you, that I realized how big dreams could get.”

Get Lost With You was a sweet, second chance romance with wonderful characters and a fun setting. Jillian and Levi both had a crush on each other when they were in high school, but nothing ever came of it. Now both have returned to their hometown and the sparks fly from the moment they meet again.

“Everything inside of him told him this was worth the risk.”

Levi was an absolute doll. I loved how all-in he was from the moment he decided that it was worth it to take a risk with Jillian. He was sweet, charming and all around adorable.

“He made her want to be brave.”

Jillian was such a strong, independent character, but her failed marriage had destroyed her ability to trust and she was reluctant to risk her heart again. Her self doubts created conflict for her when she just needed to trust her heart.

“You’re the something special, Jillian Keller. You always have been.”

Jillian and Levi had a sweet chemistry and their flirty banter was fresh and heartfelt. I loved how Levi was determined to show her that he would be the one that stuck and wouldn’t run away. Full of heartwarming moments, a fun small-town vibe, and a great cast of characters, Get Lost With You was a entertaining, lighthearted read that’s rich with emotion and will have you rooting for Levi and Jillian’s HEA.

Love a book about second chances. I've read a few of Sophie's other books and those are ranked a little higher for me than this latest book. It was a cute love story but way too slow! Would have been cuter as a short story honestly. But loved the reappearance of some past characters in her books!

2.75 rounded to 3

This story gave me all the summer camp vibes and had me craving some cozy comfort food! It’s a light, second-chance romance with a brothers-best-friend twist. Jilly is back home living with her parents, helping her brothers run a retreat center, and raising her daughter after a divorce. When Levi, her brother’s childhood best friend and her long-time crush, returns to town, old feelings resurface.

To be honest, this one didn’t fully grab me, and I found myself skimming to finish it. Some parts felt bland and slow, and I didn’t realize it was the second book in a series when I started. I think reading the first book might have helped me connect more with the story.

Overall, while it had its sweet moments, it didn’t leave much of an impression for me.

I liked this book, but some of Sophie Sullivan's other books were a "love" for me and this one was just a like. I liked Logan's relationship with the brothers and how he was with Ollie. I liked that Jilly's family gave her helpful advice during her freak out. And i liked that the main couple actually communicated with each other. It was a cute story. It felt like there were a couple things out of order and that kind bugged me. It was a sweet, easy read. I knocked it out in one weekend. But I just felt confused a couple of times. My copy said it wasn't the final edit, so hopefully they were caught before production was finalized.
