Thank you to SMP Romance for the advance reader copy. These opinions are my own.

This book was a grand escape. Levi returns to his hometown with hopes of bringing his experience as a big city chef to creating food there. And he immediately bumps into Ollie, his friends' little sister who he knows is off limits. But now she is back in their home town and single with a precocious daughter.

This book explored family dynamics and secrets really well. And it leaned into the effects of holding grudges and when to make amends. I enjoyed all of the many family drama plots.

But most of all, I just adore the small town of Smile and the Get Lost Lodge. I want to go hang out at the lodge and eat Levi's elevated comfort food. And then I might do all the activities nearby while returning to sleep in a deluxe room or cabin. Seriously, can this place really exist please?

In the meantime, it's a great book to be transported into.

I'm bummed because this book has all of the tropes I love: childhood friends to lovers, second chance romance, even the small town setting! I felt like once the love interests ran into each other, it was all gas, no brakes, and they were in love all over again even though they don't even know the adult versions of themselves.

Anyway, thank you to the publisher for gifting me a copy via Netgalley to read and review.

This was a sweet second chance romance. The characters were likeable but the overall storyline felt like it was missing something.

4⭐️2.5🌶

This small town friends-to-lovers is so sweet and adorable. I definitely needed this as a pick me up read between some dark and emotional reads. This book had all the comfy cozy small-town vibes with all the second chance romance thrown in.

Jillian is a divorcee with an 8 year old daughter who is living with her parents in the small town of Smile after her divorce. She had moved away in her early twenties to follow a businessman who turned out to be a piece of poop,. Once she figured that out, she moved back to beautiful small town she calls home.

Levi, Jillian's childhood crush, moves back to Smile to help his parents as they get older. He moved away at 17 to go to a prestigious culinary school. Then he built his career as a professional chef and many big name restraunts, until he had enough of the big city and wanted to move back to Smile to be with his family and friends.

Levi has been in love with Jillian since he was 13, but she's the younger sister of his two best friends. Jillian has been in love with him since before she could remember. He went to culinary school when she was only 15 and after a disastrous attempt at a first kiss.

As adults, they realize they both still have feelings for each other. But they must relearn each other as they are now.

3.5 STARS
After reading and loving Love, Naturally last year, I was so excited to return to the small town of Smile and the Get Lost lodge for Jillian's story in Get Lost With You. I loved the trope combo in this one, that it was written in dual POV and loved all the glimpses of the character's that I had already met in the first book (BUT, I don't think you have to read Love, Naturally first/before reading Get Lost With You). I felt like the pacing was off for me at times in this one, as I was fully invested at the start, but lost a bit of steam during a few parts in the middle. I still enjoyed seeing Jillian and Levi's relationship develop (as well as Ollie's relationship with Levi) over the course of the book.

Overall, I liked this one and rated it 3.5 stars. If you are looking for a small town romance with the brother's best friend, friends to lovers, single parent and second chance romance tropes, check out Get Lost With You, out now!

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for the e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

⭐3.25. This was a very cute and cozy second-chance romance story. It seems both leads never quite got over their big crushes on each other since high school, and it's only developed into stronger feelings as adults. While at times this seemed a little too corny (laying it on real thick), it was sweet. Levi is patient and caring and willing to do what it takes to get the girl; meanwhile, Jillian is cautious of her already injured heart and protective of her daughter.

It seemed that, although they knew each other as kids, they haven't been in touch for years, and now he's back in town and bam! things happen so quickly! Like, a bit unrealistically to quick, he's already practically professing his love for her and saying he'll win her over. A lot of my notes read "too much, too fast!!"

Parts of the dialogue between characters seemed a bit much, kinda lame, and definitely eye-rolly at times, but even so, it was still somehow sweet. Other times, the dialogue seemed very direct or blunt, and awkward. It didn't seem to flow quite as well as I'd like dialogue to flow- there was no fun banter that I'm always craving in romance books. There seemed to be a lot of grand monologues, very verbose, profound thoughts. While it was always very beautiful, no one talks like that in the real world. "It's like you had a dozen fortune cookies memorizes for this moment." Thank you for pointing this out, Jillian! haha

Any spiciness is off-page, which makes this a pretty tame, cozy story. It's very much a lovey-dovey kind of story, it was nice.

There was some character development in the story. I don't think Jillian changed all too much, aside from letting Levi in and maybe learning to accept she can do things without knowing the future, and doing things even while scared. Her character was a bit bland - she's a mom and a sister, she runs the lodge, and she got hurt by her ex - that's all I seemed to learn about her. I think I got a bit more from Levi, and he did a little changing in the story, although, issues that plagued him and his dad throughout seemed to have been resolved rather (too) easily once one of them actually tried.

Levi & Jilly's story was cute, with a lovely HEA with cutie Ollie (probably my favourite character!).

Beckett and Presley, from book 1, are nauseatingly adorable in this 2nd book. It's cute, but like, a bit too much haha. Good to see they're still going strong though!

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC.

I’ve been waiting to get back to the wonderful town of Smile. Watching Levi and Jillian’s story unfold was an absolute delight and put a goofy grin on my face. I love the characters, the friends, and the family dynamic that is woven into this love story. It’s a second-chance romance that will have you not wanting the story to end 🩷

Sophie Sullivan is a must read for me. I don’t need to even read the synopsis or any reviews, I just know I’ll love her heart felt, tender, inspiring romances. Get Lost with You is no exception. I love Jillian and Levi’s love story, friendship and chemistry. This is the second book in this series, and you don’t need to read the first to enjoy this one, but if you did, it’s nice to catch up with the characters from the first one. Perfect summer beach read!

So this story had some good moments, but overall, I'm afraid it just wasn't for me. The MCs got together way too fast which made so much of the book just seem like filler. There was a ton of angst which I don't love and so much of the language/profanity just seemed thrown in and totally unnecessary. The more intimate scenes were rushed and stilted, skirting open door, but not really committing either way. Instead, those scenes just felt stuck in an uncomfortable in-between.

I did enjoy the small town vibes of Smile. There were some amazing side characters and I really appreciated the bond between Jillian and her brothers. There were some nice themes of forgiveness and healing and even though I haven't read the first book in the series, there were several fun cameos of the couple from that story.

I really had to talk myself into finishing this one and unfortunately I can't say that I'll be reaching for another Sophie Sullivan book anytime soon.

Levi has come home to his small town after going to culinary school and cooking in high end kitchens, and now he's ready for a second chance with his first love. Jillian has had quite a different experience since high school, getting married, having a little girl, and then getting divorced from the selfish scammer husband she'd married. And she's just not interested in anything happening with Levi after an embarrassing encounter right before Levi left for school.

The characters are... fine. The romance is... fine. The storyline is... yeah. It's fine.

Honestly, I didn't love this, or hate it. I was kind of just bored and unimpressed.

The "falling" is essentially a forgone conclusion. They see each other once, and then Levi almost immediately starts acting like they're dating, and he's all in for the long term.

The evil ex confrontation is lackluster at best. The antagonistic dad relationship is resolved by one request for help so Dad feels like a big man. The parents downsizing becomes the stupidest retcon of an idea. Everybody complains about how Levi is so flight because he drops everything when a better thing comes along, but the number of people that drop their intentions by the end is just... stupid.

I wish I had more kind words for this. I'm just... unimpressed.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy via NetGalley in return for sharing my thoughts on this book. Thanks to the author and publisher for this opportunity!

I received the eARC for my honest opinion.

If you’re wanting to read a great second chance romance, with great banter and chemistry, a book that makes you want to snuggle up with the perfect blanket and cozy socks and read, it also has small town romance, childhood friends/crushes, single parent and so much more.

This was my first Sophie Sullivan book, and it will not be my last. I found this book to be the perfect romcom. You will meet Jilly and her daughter Ollie who has returned to her small town after her leaving her ex. She works at her brother’s resort and loves helping her family and friends when she can. You will also meet Levi who has just returned home from working as a chef in the big cities but is now wanting more out of his life, and to help his father who has some health problems. However, when these two see each other again for the first time in years all the chemistry comes rushing back. Will Jilly be able to see Levi as the strong adult he is and not judge him for the things that he ex did to her? Will Jilly finally be able to open her eyes to see that Levi loves her and Ollie?

I loved the plot. It was perfect for a small town second chance romance. The pace was great, it was fast and slow in all the right spots, and the characters were well-developed and easy to connect with. I loved that Sophie Sullivan made the MMC fall first in this book and the way that she wrote it, it didn’t feel fake or forced but someone that would naturally happen. I loved that we got to on their journey of healing themselves and each other, it felt more realistic with all the issues that the characters were having or reasons why it wouldn’t work out or that it would. I loved that the readers will really get to know Ollie and not just the name of a child but really get to know who she is and understand what an important character she is in the book as well. This book is perfect read for anyone who loves small town romance, second chances, single parent, he falls first and great characters.

I will be reading more from this author.

I want to thank NetGalley and St. Martin Press for the opportunity to review this book.

Spice- Closed Door

Series- Rock Bottom Love #2

Troupes- Single Mom, small town, Childhood friends reunited,

This is my first book from Sophie Sullivan and while I was aware going in that it was not going to be a spicy book, I was surprised at how close we got to it. So when the Headline says sweet with a hint of heat that is exactly true! This is also the second in the series but can read as stand alone.

Anyway I really enjoyed this book, Jillian and Levi have great chemistry and the family dynamics are lovely. Her little girl is definitely one of those excellent fictional kids, but she’s sweet and does her job to get these two together.

I liked the story and Sullivan’s writing style meshes well with my brain, and the town of Smile is a place a would love to visit but in the end this is one of those feel good hallmarky stories, its got everything you want in a cozy beach read. But there was nothing ground breaking or hard about this book, which was perfect for me right now!

Thank you Sophie Sullivan, St Martins Griffin and Netgalley for the advanced copy, my opinions are my own.

Sophie Sullivan writes some of the sweetest romances and Get Lost with You is one of her best! I adore second chance romances, so this was perfect for me. Add in the small town setting and it is *chef's kiss*

Thank you to @netgalley and @stmartinspress for a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. Thank you to RB Media for a free copy of the audiobook.

Sophie Sullivan's 'Get Lost with You' offers a charming and heartwarming romance centered on Jillian, a dedicated single mother, and Levi, her childhood crush turned successful chef. The audio narration by Allyson Morgan was a genuine highlight, bringing warmth and authenticity to the characters, making them feel relatable and engaging. The story itself is undeniably sweet and enjoyable, a perfect comfort read.

However, a few narrative choices prevented me from fully immersing myself in the story. Levi's insistence on adhering to 'guy code' by seeking permission to date Jillian, despite already engaging in flirtatious and physical interactions, felt jarring and inconsistent. It created a sense of artificial conflict that detracted from the natural flow of their budding romance.

Additionally, the resolution of the conflict with Jillian's child's father felt rushed and underdeveloped. While I appreciate the attempt to introduce a realistic challenge, the issue was resolved so quickly that it lacked the emotional weight it deserved. It seemed like a plot point introduced for the sake of drama, only to be dismissed moments later.

Despite these minor frustrations, 'Get Lost with You' remains a pleasant and lighthearted read. The strong narration and the undeniable chemistry between Jillian and Levi make it easy to overlook the few narrative hiccups. If you're looking for a feel-good romance with engaging characters and a sweet storyline, this book is certainly worth your time.

Jillian Keller is living life as a single mother, back in her home town helping her brothers run their outdoor adventure lodge. The last thing she needs is Levi Bright, her high school crush and brothers best friend to come back into town. Or maybe it’s exactly what she needs.

Second chance romance is always a favourite of mine but this was just okay. Jillian was okay, whereas Levi was perfection. Their emotions were complicated but where Levi and his dad’s relationship was complicated and rushed, but real, Jillian and her ex and her relationships were rushed and complex but also just a mess. It could have been a little more thought out and presented in a nicer way in my opinion. Her inevitable break down was just confusing as the reader, and she came across more moody teen than complicated adult.

As I said, overall okay. The feelings were there but were also a little rushed, making it not as real for me.

Cute! While I thought this was a sweet read, it was pretty low-stakes and didn’t make me feel strongly for the characters in a real way.

Thank you Sophie Sullivan, Netgalley, and St. Martin Griffin for this arc in exchange for my review.

Jillian is returning home after a divorce with her daughter that she adores. Her childhood love Levi is coming home to help with his dad, and try to shoot his shot with Jillian.

This book overall was a cute easy read. It was very much like a hallmark film and “instalove”, which personally isn’t for me. But for those who enjoy that this is a fast paced cheesy romance.

I was hoping for a bit more character development, but also that could just be how this type of romance is and that’s okay. At the beginning I was confused on what Smile was, but soon learned it’s the town and this is another book in a series. If it can be read as a standalone it might be helpful for a little intro or explanation in the beginning of the town of smile.

I do love middle aged romances and second chance romances so this did fill that joy in my heart. Ollie was such a cute and fun character, and it was heartwarming to see Jillian interact with her. This was such a fast easy read that pulled you in, and the writing was wonderful. I definetly see this book being a popular one in the romance world.

I was so happy to get to read this book! I am so in love with this town and characters. Sophie Sullivan knocked another romance out of the park. I am literally obsessed. Her writing style is so beautiful. It was very hard to put this book down.

This weekend I read Get Lost With You. It is the follow up to Love, Naturally - the family who owns the lodge on the lake in Michigan. This installment is about Jillian, a single mom and Levi, her teenage crush who returns home to their small town to take care of his ailing dad. Small town vibes, second chance romance and entertaining family dynamics with witty bantering galore made this a sweet romcom, perfect for Valentine’s Day weekend.

Jillian and Levi have a sweet and stormy romance. I was captivated by how real the relationship and characters felt. This story is even better than the blurb describes. It would be a great beach read.
