I am normally a fan of Jane Green but this book gave me an icky feeling and ultimately I did not finish it. It is very rare that I do not finish a book.

I felt this read was ok. I wasn't horrible by any means but I felt this story has been told before. The characters felt I had seen them before but I liked the storytelling if that makes sense. It's a middle-of-the-road read for me.

Ia ir possible to have a middle-aged coming of age story? if so this is it. By exploring infidelity of a spouse in a decades old marriage and how it came to be and how it changed lives is the plot of this novel. Green has some insightful comments about marriage, that make me think and making me think the purpose of a good novel.

Another enjoyable book by Jane Green, I loved the characters and thought their situations were very relatable even if they did things you did not agree with.
