I LOVED this book. I've never read anything by Caitlin Moss before but this will not be my last. This book follows the long and tortured relationship between Julia and JP. They initially meet on a plane, both on their way to the same gender reveal celebration, surprisingly. Their attraction is near instantaneous and they are drawn to each other, but timing isn't right. Over the next five years the two cycle in and out of each other's lives. They experience heart breaks and help each other heal and always seem to find each other again.
Things I loved: the tortured, invisible string dynamic. The way the love interests of the two mc are fully fleshed out and not just treated as throw away plot devices. The chemistry! The characters. The dreams with her grandma. The boundary setting!
Things I didn't like: nothing really!
Easy five stars. Thanks to Caitlin Moss and NetGalley for the free ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This might just be the best book I have ever read.
An emotional roller coaster is the best way to describe this book. Happy, sad, angry tears. I felt every emotion.
*The way this book is set up, you fall in love with the MMC the same way the FMC does. Which means you feel every emotion the FMC does through out the book.
I genuinely felt my heart ache during a few parts- LIKE WHEN HE GOT BACK TOGETHER WITH AUDREY. AND WHEN SHE HAD TO WATCH THEM BE TOGETHER. I felt like I was the one personally going through it because JP was so easy to fall for due to how he was written.
I went to bed late after sobbing and woke up feeling hungover. FROM A BOOK! Ugh. This was everything.
It made it into the top 3 of my favorite books EVER.

I absolutely love Caitlin Moss. I have met her in real life and think she is a wonderful human being. So please note there is a bit of bias in my review but she did not ask me to write this or know that I am writing this!
This is my favorite book by her. The characters were wonderful. The side characters were fantastic. There is one character that is a therapist and Caitlin reaches out to her real life friends to make sure she was accurately representing a therapist.

I loved this book! Julia and JP were both so relatable and it's such a good narrative of two people who meet at the wrong time, unfortunately for them they just couldn't get the timing right because so many things get in their way. But I'm glad the find their way back to each other eventually.
It's set over the course of 5 years but they only spend a total of a couple of months together through that time and not always as a couple, some of the time they're just friends. Though they help each other through some of the bigger moments in each other's lives.
Julia often dreams about her Gramma, who passed away, and talks to her about what is happening in her life at that particular point and helps her to make sense of her thoughts and feelings. Which is ironic with Julia being a therapist!
JP is a kindergarten teacher but as the story is not written from his POV, we miss a lot of what is going on with him outside of his interactions with Julia. I'd like to have read more from his POV to round out his character a bit more, especially around tye time him and Julia stop texting each other while he was teaching in Greece.
Thanks to NetGalley and Caitlin Moss the opportunity to read and review this ARC.

good romance about 2 people who meet on a plane and end up going to baby shower. They fall in love over time but over time they end up with other people . They slowly find their way back to each other. I like that he has nine chances with her and she has visits from her grandma.

5 stars

Alexa play “I love you, I’m sorry” by Gracie Abrams
Here is your text with a few minor grammar adjustments:
The “right person, wrong time” trope is perfectly displayed in this fresh and original romance novel. Julia and JP have a happenstance meeting when they are seated beside each other on a flight to Seattle. The two quickly hit it off – I was very impressed by the author's writing of their banter. I went into this book thinking it would be a typical, silly contemporary romance, but it turned out to be a layered, heart-wrenching, and addicting story. I couldn’t put it down, and I was emotionally invested in Julia and JP’s journey.
Hopeless romantics, this one is for you!

This book had me in a chokehold! What an emotional rollercoaster ride! JP and Julia had such a beautiful emotional story I couldn’t put it down.
After a chance meeting on a plane JP and Julia have an emotional on again off again relationship for 5 years. I love that the story spanned over 5 years of their relationship we really got to see them in so many stages of life as they tried to navigate real life problems and their relationship.
This was my first read by this author but I will definitely be reading more!

If you love tension & angst, then you should read this book. If you want you want to feel all of the emotions and are willing to watch your heart break and then be put back together then read this book. If you would like to feel all the feels with Julia & JP then you should read this book.
Very fast paced, great chemistry between FMC & MMC, laughter and all the feels

I really enjoyed this book. Very lovely story and cute characters.
Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for my copy

In Julia’s meticulously organized world, everything has its place—until she meets JP on a cross-country flight. JP, a charming kindergarten teacher with an irresistible sense of humor, immediately captures her attention. After spending a magical night exploring the streets of Seattle, the pair encounter a fortune teller who predicts their futures will be forever entwined. Yet, over the next five years, careers, different cities, and missed opportunities keep them apart. It’s only when Julia begins listening to the wisdom of her late grandmother, who visits her in dreams, that she understands love isn't always straightforward. Trusting her grandmother’s guidance, Julia begins to unravel the invisible string that keeps pulling her back to JP.
I adored this book! The storyline, with its beautiful exploration of second, third, and even fourth chances at love, completely captivated me. It highlights how love often arrives only when the timing is right. The characters, particularly Julia and JP, are so delightful and endearing. Their connection felt real and deep, making their journey all the more satisfying.

I will never stop reading and recommending anything by Caitlin Moss. She never fails to amaze me with the amount of emotion she packs into one story. The will they, won’t they in this one pulled at my heartstrings and had me not wanting to put it down. This one is a must read!!

I got major One Day in December vibes with this one and that’s a good thing in my estimation because I loved that book.
You should be prepared for an emotional rollercoaster. This plot gave me so much anxiety! This was “right person, wrong time” but over and over again for the entire book!!! Every time you thought it would finally work out, BAM! a new tragedy or major life event keeping them apart. The universe made them work for their HEA.
No shortage of excitement in this one, though. It kept me on the edge of my seat. It made me laugh and cry and get angry.
I think that readers who love a romance with a lot of emotion will definitely enjoy this. It’s not necessarily a light-hearted read but they pay-off is worth it.

This is a "right person, wrong time" story and it was a good one. The book is set in Chicago which I love since I live here lol. It's emotional, it's thoughtful, it isn't a repetitive story that you read nowadays.

In Julia’s world, everything is easily explained. Simple, uncomplicated, logical. Until she meets JP on a cross-country flight, the handsome kindergarten teacher charms her with his wit, humor, and irresistible smile. While spending a magical night wandering the streets of Seattle, the two stumble upon a fortune teller who predicts their futures will forever be entwined. But sometimes the road to love isn’t a straight line. Over the span of five years, careers, different cities, and missed chances stand in the way of them being together. It isn’t until she starts listening to the advice of her late grandmother, who visits her dreams since that first night in Seattle, does Julia realize not everything about love is straightforward. If she hopes to discover why an invisible string continues to pull her back to him, she must trust her grandmother’s advice and, ultimately, herself.
I absolutely ADORED this book. I love the storyline so much with it's second, third and fourth chances at love. That it is only right at the right time. The characters are delightful and I enjoyed Julia and JP so, so much.

This was my first read from Caitlin Moss and it definitely will not be my last! I thought this was such a fun, unique book. I feel like it’s easy to write a book where everything continuously clicks into place for the characters so it’s refreshing to find one that feels like real life where things don’t always work out as planned. The topics of grief, right person wrong time and toxic relationships can be difficult to write but I thought that Caitlin portrayed them perfectly!

Such a fun read! Highly recommend.
Many thanks to Netgalley, the author, and the publisher for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

I liked this book, but I didnt love it. Just as a warning, you will feel every emotion possible reading this book.
And thats not a bad thing, but just know it's not a happy go lucky rom com kind of book.
Still, I enjoyed the story and the characters! I think Moss did a good job and I would definitely read other books by her!

Wellllll your heart will be ripped out and put back together a million times.
JP and Julia meet by chance and then continue to cross paths but their timing isn’t right again and again. While normally that type of story makes me roll my eyes you just can’t help rooting for these two. The banter and the chemistry made you just want them to be able to figure it out. This one will rip your heart out for a million reasons but the journey was beautiful.
If you like romance with a side of emotions and tears then you’ll like this one too!
