Camp NetGalley Welcome Packet

Camp NetGalley is a relaxing summer event that gives NetGalley users a unique opportunity to interact with reviewers, readers, and members of the literary community. My Bookstagram followers will get to follow my camping experiences as I continue to share what I am reading and the activities that I am participating in.

I love the visuals, stickers, and badges that we are provided with to make our journey personalized and shareable. The Bingo game is not only fun but also will broaden my reading horizons as I finish the board. The weekly guide has such a good variety of things, and I can't wait to do the scavenger hunt! I send praise to We Are Bookish for the creativity used in making this such a breezy, summery way to deepen and expand support books, authors, publishers, and literacy while having a blast at camp. I will sign up again next summer!

Sounds like a very fun and interactive summer reading program! I do my best to post reviews as quickly as I read but doing this challenge may seem a bit too hard for me.

A wonderful idea with lots of fun adventures and activities to spur on our summer reading!

My favorite part of Camp NetGalley has to be the book bingo! I love filling out a book bingo, and I especially love how simple you made it to share Camp NetGalley resources to social media and engage with other campers. Loving this so far!

I’m apparently in the minority on this, but I found The Camp NetGalley Welcome Packet to be a bit confusing. I needed more complete instructions. Anyway I think I’m not the right audience for this. I don’t do scrapbooking type activities (stickers, etc.) but I do enjoy a book bingo challenge. However, since I don’t currently have a working printer, there’s no easy way to mark off the boxes on the bingo card. I will be submitting a review for the “talent show” aspect. (https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/6226266697) Basically, I’m going to concentrate on my reading and trying to up my ratio rather than figure out how to download and use stickers in a reading journal.

So this was my first time doing Camp NetGalley! I really liked the bingo card, and who doesn't like digital stickers/badges? For the future, I'd love if there'd be a way to do something interactive with other reviewers? Like a guided read-along where we can all share thoughts by chapter or section?

As a long time fan of Beatriz Williams, I was eager to dig into her to be released Husband & Lovers, which hooked me from the very first page and kept me engaged to the end.

Set in present day New England and 1951 Cairo, Egypt this dual time frame novel intricately weaves the story of single mother Mallory Dunne and Hungarian refugee Hannah Ainsworth. The reader is taken on a journey from the heartbreak of WWII to the beginning of the revolution in Egypt through present day and shows how the ties that bind us, and the love and loss we suffer, make us who we are.

A beautiful story of love, loss, redemption, and the human spirit, this is one not to be missed.

This is such a fun incentive to encourage us to review our ARCS—perhaps there can be tiers (earning different badges) for next year if you post multiple reviews (in the link section) during the event?

This is my first time participating in Camp NetGalley, and I couldn't be more excited. I have already started working on my bingo card and putting together my graphics to share on my Instagram as well as posting reviews of some of the books I'm reading throughout July! I really enjoy the bingo card and all of the customizable graphics as well as the digital stickers and badges! Something I might like to see next year are little graphics or banners that we can put on our Goodreads reviews since that is where I post most of my reviews!

This camp welcome package was really fun! This is the first time I’ve participated in this and it’s a great idea. I love a good bingo and plan to complete the card via insta stories. My one comment would be that I wish you’d saved the templates themselves to instagram rather than the link to go download them.
