This is such a fun and cute idea! Reminds me of the reading summer challenges my library used to hold when I was younger

This is such a fun way to get over the mid year reading slump a lot of us fall into. I may not be able to participate in all of it, but I will definitely be playing along where I can.

Interesting concept…..
Currently trying to navigate my way through the directions.
Not sure it is something that I will be interested in participating in.

Definitely a cute idea. It reminds me of NanoWrimo type of thing. I wish it wasn't this sort of packet thing, if it was a side website or whatever that would be a lot better and offer a lot more community-based involvement if done that way.

So much fun, can’t wait to get my badge! My review is for You Will Speak For the Dead: Perfect little novella that is somehow both emotionally resonant and completely horrific. Contains some images of body horror that I will never forget. You will never look at mushrooms the same way again

Looks like so much reading fun! I can’t wait to get started. The booklet is very well put together and makes it easy to understand how to participate!

I'm excited for Camp NetGalley! This is a simple and well-designed booklet explaining the important ideas about the event.

My favourite review is also for one of my favourite books!

This looks like great bookish fun! I cannot wait to get started. Thank you Netgalley for putting this together :)

I was so excited to see this book camp! Making summer reading even more fun! I hope that this is the beginning of a series of bookish fun things to come!

This is so fun! I love the idea of Camp NetGalley and the weekly activities, specially the NetGalley Bingo. Thank you, NetGalley team, for putting this together!

Such a fun and engaging reading adventure for summer! Love this so much! I used to do summer reading camps at the library and this is giving nostalgia vibes.

Excited to participate in this fun July experience with Net Galley. I love all the additional content and the games. Summer reading here we come!

This is a cute way to engage reading during summer for us adults who miss summer camp and summer reading programs (Pizza Hut reading challenge, I'm looking at you).

REVIEW/OPINION:
Spine-tingling, heart-thumping, edge-on-your-seat type of book. Reading A Dark Roux was a truly remarkable experience. Daigle has an exceptional ability to carefully craft every word in his sentences, resulting in a beautifully flowing narrative that reads like poetry. I was engrossed in the book and found it hard to put down. I wanted to savor every detail presented to me. It was sometimes nerve-racking because Daigle would give you a little bit of creepiness here and there. But just enough to make you crawl back for more on every page. I'm going to be reading more of his work in the future!
Thank you to the author Blaine Daigle, the publishing agency Wicked House Publishing, and NetGalley for granting me access to this amazing ARC.
BOOK BLURB:
"The bayou watches as it sings. It is a place that hides its dead deep within the soil before the dead become living again, a part of this world enslaved to a fading memory of original creation."
Rhiannon traveled deep into the bayou to seek the River Church while her brother Rhett stayed in the old Louisiana home.
"But she had never been out this late. This hour when the world of man was driven by fear to beds of safety and comfort, while nature reclaimed what always belonged to her."
Rhett stayed behind to keep watch for once. Rhiannon was the one who did most of the protecting.
"His legs would remain unscarred and unbloodied from the sharp thwack of the leather."
However, no one could protect her brother from what he saw that night. The night that he saw their father die. Soon after, their mother, Miranda, sent them away. Fifteen years later, though, their old, gothic childhood home calls for them to come home. They have to lay their mother to rest. It's not just old childhood nightmares, voodoo rumors, hate crimes from their town, and the hole for their mother's grave that they'll be digging up. What happened to their dad? What secrets is Rhett hiding? Why does everyone in the town think that their mom is a witch? What is that thump, screech, thump noise in the middle of the night?
Rhiannon will need to return to the River Church, and only then will the curse be broken. All the answers she seeks will sit at the feet of the lady who holds the birdcage of bones.

This is such a fun challenge. LOVE the Bingo card.
Can't wait to participate in this fun summer Camp NetGalley!

Interesting bingo challenges. Hope to complete it soon. Loved the efforts done by the Netgalley Team.

This a very clever idea. The Bingo card is a lot of fun. I look forward to participating.in this summer camp.

This is such a cute and fun idea! Love the summer camp theme. Looking forward to participating especially the bingo card!

If I had this type of summer camp as a kid, I would’ve attended! I love this idea with the fun activities and feels reminiscent of the library summer reading programs 😍 I can’t wait to see what the netgalley team comes up with in the coming weeks! I think it’s great to have templates to use as I’m big on tracking and being organized with my reading so it’s perfect for me. Maybe next time we can have the summer camp be longer than just the one month? Not sure how possible that is with all the time and effort it would require for you guys but Id think it would be fun to have a whole summer of this, especially as I personally don’t have as many netgalleys to read for the summer so a bingo may not happen for me 😂 but
anyways love this and linked my talent show entry below plus in the links section of the review I’m most proud of!!
