Thank you Netgalley and We Are Bookish! This will be so much fun. I'm not sure which review I will share, there's so many good books it's hard to choose. I like that this is guided because I have trouble thinking of something and I'm not good at organizing. This was such a fun idea.

Thank you NetGalley and We Are Bookish for the gifted e-book! This is such a cool summer challenge and will motivate me to work on my NetGalley shelf over the summer!

Quick Summary: An "online summer camp extravaganza"
My Review: Camp NetGalley is a summer camp for readers. During the month of July, a number of weekly activities are planned with NG readers in mind. Opportunities to earn an exclusive badge, as well as special stickers, will be available to interested readers. There is even a talent show to spotlight the best reviews on books and audiobooks.
Favorite Thing About the Event: The Talent Show
Ideas for Next Year: Hall of Fame (Allow readers to post a picture or image of their favorite NetGalley read for the year.)
Other: It would be grand if there was an early readers quotable page, which allowed readers to post their favorite quote from a book they've read. Perhaps, offer a means for a link to the book to be made available for interested readers to explore the novel further. As a reader, I adore seeing what might have stood out to others. The just right quote can cause me to request or buy a book. While I'm certain this might be a large undertaking, I have no doubt that it would generate a buzz around novels.
My Final Say: This Camp NetGalley idea is absolutely brilliant! I am so pumped to participate. I have read everything posted thus far, and I cannot wait to join in all the fun. Let's go!

Love participating in summer reading events, brings back fond memories of childhood summers! Looking forward to filling out the bingo board, and finding out what the daily prompts in week three will be!

This Camp NetGalley is so fun! Can’t wait to start the bingo. I would suggest maybe printing these pages out or downloading these pages to your iPad so you can fill in the activities. Definitely super fun activities for the summer! Can’t wait to share with all my bookish friends :)

So excited to participate in Camp NetGalley! This is such a cute thing to do and I will definitely be posting some fun content online-- my goal is to read 10 books this month, 4 from NetGalley!

This is such a cute thing for NetGalley to do! I specifically love the idea of the talent show and showing off our reviews. It's great to be able to showcase our hard work! The bingo is great and I will have so much fun doing it! I love that it has a wide variety of prompts, including non-reading prompts that encourage using NetGalley in interesting ways! Maybe next year they can add a smores photo challenge where you books with brown, white, and dark brown covers!

Excited to be part of Net Galley summer camp! The bingo baords? Merit stickers? ooooh yeah this is camp.
Already looking forward to the talent show for my profile badge.
So cute, and I appreciate that it will bring some of the Net Galley commuinity from the while.

What a fun way to celebrate reading in July! Looking so forward to the activities and connecting with other readers at Camp NetGalley!! Thanks for the fun!!

Camp NetGalley is a wonderful interactive idea! My favorite parts are the Bingo board to get us all reaching a little outside of our comfort zones for a fun summer of reading. I also really like the stickers - they'll be perfect for the reading journal.
I'm not big on social media, so that aspect of sharing/interacting for this isn't much of an appeal, but I'm looking forward to seeing all the reviews that are submitted for the talent show.

What a cute idea! I’m excited to check out camp NetGalley and interact with other members. This is a low pressure/ easy way for the community to connect!

This is so exciting and so fun! How cool! I’m happy to be a part of something that inspires more reading. 💖

This is such a FABULOUS idea from NetGalley and We Are Bookish and I can’t wait to enjoy the Camp NetGalley community throughout July - sending y’all virtual friendship bracelets.
I’m particularly excited to play the Week 1 bingo game, and the ‘Talent Contest’ is a wonderfully motivating idea to allow NetGalley’s diverse membership the opportunity to showcase the writing that makes them proud. I like how the entry can be any kind of review (glowing or constructively critical) and for any type of book or audiobook. Personally, I am submitting as a link the review I wrote of ‘The Final Act of Juliette Willoughby’ by Ellery Lloyd - a book deeply evocative novel that, for me, represented a return to form for the authors of the shocking and moving ‘People Like Her’.
In terms of ideas for next year, I think Camp NetGalley could offer camper spotlights throughout the month, increased connectivity based on users who have reviewed similar books and perhaps some exclusive themed ‘Read Now’ books for a limited time for campers to all read together (if authors want to participate, that is).
Thanks as always to the NetGalley/WAB team xoxo

So excited to utilize this, especially the bingo. Also excited for the talent show! Such a fun concept for the summer.

This is such a fun idea to make sure we keep up with reading during the summer! I love the community aspect and hope to be able to participate.

I am excited to do the book bingo here on Netgalley camp. Still not 100% on how this all works but I am still excited to give it a go! Loving netgalley so far since I got my kindle.

I think this welcome package is super cute and I’m excited to fill in my bingo card. It’s a great way to find new books and stay motivated. Thanks to Camp NetGalley and We Are Bookish for hosting this event.

The Women by Kristin Hannah
My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
sᥡᥒ᥆⍴sіs:
Women can be heroes. When twenty-year-old nursing student Frances “Frankie” McGrath hears these words, it is a revelation. Raised in the sun-drenched, idyllic world of Southern California and sheltered by her conservative parents, she has always prided herself on doing the right thing. But in 1965, the world is changing, and she suddenly dares to imagine a different future for herself. When her brother ships out to serve in Vietnam, she joins the Army Nurse Corps and follows his path.
As green and inexperienced as the men sent to Vietnam to fight, Frankie is over-whelmed by the chaos and destruction of war. Each day is a gamble of life and death, hope and betrayal; friendships run deep and can be shattered in an instant. In war, she meets―and becomes one of―the lucky, the brave, the broken, and the lost.
But war is just the beginning for Frankie and her veteran friends. The real battle lies in coming home to a changed and divided America, to angry protesters, and to a country that wants to forget Vietnam.

Another Kristin Hannah book that absolutely broke me. Frankie is such a strong woman for serving her country fearlessly, then on top of that dealing with the aftermath of coming home from war. The friends she made during her time that she served are truly each other’s soulmates. Their strength and support towards each other is something to be admired. Having those women by her side while experiencing the war and also being able to lean on them when she returned home is so powerful.
Frankie can’t seem to catch a break in life. Between what she experienced during war to having her heart broken numerous times she continues to just survive life. As if war wasn’t hard enough, having to come home to a family and country that didn’t recognize women being in the Vietnam War, her struggles throughout this book are truly heart crushing.
This book is a powerful and emotional read. Truly one of the best historical fiction books I’ve ever read. Kristin Hannah’s novels are beautifully written with powerful messages that last long beyond her words.

This is a fun idea. I've done a bunch of summer reading bingos or challenges but having this one incorporate netgalley is a great motivator. Lately I tend to just focus on the genres I reccomend most or what I can build a display off of. I tend to use Edelweiss a little more but this will help me get back into this website and try more features. I wish the bingo game could be an interactive app with a way to be on teams or have a community aspect but I know that would take a lot of time/money to develop. Thank you for creating and sharing this.

NetGalley, you are bringing me all the fun camp vibes (that I never experienced) with Camp NetGalley!
This is going to be such a fun July challenge - and since I've already made my own monthly goals of putting on my headphones (and listening to Audiobooks more often) in hopes at reaching 70% Feedback Ratio on NetGalley, this fun camp challenge is a game-changing boost for me! Hello Bingo!
Can't wait to start the challenge, as I know it will be getting a full five-stars from me!
Thanks NetGalley for the complimentary Welcome Packet for Camp NetGalley to read and review!
