I think this is going to be a really fun event. I don’t know if this event is new, or if this has been done in years past. I usually work at a camp in the summer where I get very little service, so I can’t do anything on here. If this is a new tradition, that makes me super excited to see what’s going to happen in the future. Who knows? Maybe there will be other events as well if we’re getting this one.

This is such a fun and exciting way to get everyone more involved and participate in summer reading! I can't wait to complete challenges and play BINGO. I really feel like this will help with my summer reading slump I seem to get every year!

I got the email about Camp NetGalley this morning and had to come check it out. I read through the Welcome Packet and it made me very excited to join in with everyone! I thought the welcome packet walked you through everything very nicely and I cannot wait to participate. It was nice that they had everything you will need in one download.

I am most excited for the bingo!

This is a cute idea to get more people engaged throughout the summer. I am not sure about the extent to which I'll continue to participate-- I already have my summer reading plan and goals set this year. I think it would be cool to see some more engagement opportunities. I see someone suggested a read along, which I like. What about a virtual book club?

My biggest suggestion a bigger and wider hype campaign before the event starts, I was lucky I noticed the email this morning!
Otherwise I love the bingo board and stickers available for download. I keep a reading journal and have for years so this is all going straight in there. Hopefully this will also help those people who like to gamify their reading and stats to make up for some arcs and reviews they're behind on!

I absolutely love this idea on getting more intentional reading and reviewing through NetGalley. The items like the bingo and talent show are great. I would like to maybe see something like a read along included in the future.

This is such a fun idea! I am looking forward to seeing all the posts and reviews about this event. I do think there is a lot more potential in this that could be taken advantage of. For next year, it would be fun to have competitions for ARCS that are limited in quantity. They could be review writing competitions, or photoshoot comps. There are lots of options! It would also be nice to have a few online panels discussing different aspects of being a book advocate, like how to write a review. (That's something I've been wanting to improve on for a while, but I'm not sure where to start!) Having live events would also increase visibility for the event as well.

Now it's time to debate whether or not a book I DNFed and left a scathing review for is appropriate for the talent show, haha. It would definitely stand out, but I think I'll stick to a positive review.

This is exciting & will keep me engaged this summer! A more fun version of school summer reading! The only thing missing is the free personal pan pizza 🤣
