I found this to be a really fun way to add a little additional interaction between NetGalley reviewers. It was great to play along on social media and see what others were adding to the discussion.

This was my first time doing "Camp Netgalley" and it is adorable! I love the Bingo, although I was not able to get a full bingo. I think it would be fun in the future to earn points for doing different activities that enter you into a raffle of some sort! One of my libraries is doing that this summer and I love it.

This was a cute idea. It didn't work with my Christmas in July theme, but was still a cool idea! I hope they do something like this again.

What a fun way to celebrate summer! I love all the positive attention focused on the NetGalley reviewers!

I loved Camp NetGalley and will absolutely be participating next year. I would love to see it expand beyond Instagram and find a home on TikTok with video challenges and book clubs and cabin hashtags. I think it would be fun to have a quiz sort participants into cabins and have weekly cabin competitions across social media platforms where participants in winning cabins get exclusive prizes.

Oh there are so many positive things to say about Camp NetGalley! From the colorful and lively branding to the fun month-long activities, Camp NetGalley provided many opportunities to explore new stories and broaden one's typical book preferences. If I had to share one area of improvement for future summers, I wish there were weekly recap newsletter/emails that also gave campers reminders of current and upcoming weekly events. Summer is a busy time and I admittedly did not give the bingo card as much time and energy as I hoped because I unfortunately forgot about it a few times throughout the month. Little email reminders would have been great!

Such a fabulous bit of summer fun from Netgalley! July just flew by! Really hope there will be more of these activities to look forward to.

This was such a fun summer collaboration! I’ve enjoyed following the hashtag on Instagram and seeing everyone’s posts 🩷 no notes, I hope Camp NetGalley is back next summer!!

Camp NetGalley is such a fun and creative idea to get us interacting and excited about reviewing more ARCs

Wish I had been able to participate more, it looked like fun but work life got in the way and it was over before I realised

Camp NetGalley is such a great idea. I wish I could’ve participated more. The weekly activities sounded really fun. I’ll definitely participate more next year. It would be cool to have something similar to this every season!

This is what every reader wants in a book. A strong start that never let's up until the final page. I would highly recommend this book, especially if your looking for a captivating summer read.

Camp Netgalley is such a fun idea! There were plenty of fun activities/challenges but my favourite was the bingo board (even if I didn’t complete that many squares of it).

I found it well done and useful as there's a lot of hint and ideas. It's strongly recommended. Many thanks for this work

Cute idea! I love that you can earn badges. Thanks for putting this together NetGalley. Hope you do this again next summer too.

Camp NetGalley is for the long-time member or if you’re just getting started. It has weekly activities for all to enjoy. Even has stickers.
The Camp NetGalley was a whole lot of fun! I particularly enjoyed the camp bingo! There is something for everyone. Will participate again next year!

This set of activities is a fun way to enjoy the last bits of summer reading and help reach those reading goals! Thanks for putting this together NetGalley!

I love Camp NetGalley! This was my first time participating and I really enjoyed it. Will definitely be participating again next year if they do it again.

I absolutely love the idea of a summer camp-themed reading challenge, so I was immediately on-board for this!
I do wish it was teased much earlier as I already had a pretty planned out tbr for the summer based on other readathons I was doing (and having that extra advanced time to prep and get excited for it would have been nice)!
I hope Camp NetGalley comes back next year!

The Lost Boy of Santa Chionia
A winding tale of a woman determined to bring child care to Santa Chionia, ensnared in the search for lost family members of several women in town, a place where not everyone or everything is as it seems. The novel is full of mafia style influence and leads me through many moments of “wait, is that true?”
Thank you @knopf and @prhaudio for my early copies of this novel, which was published this week!
THE LOST BOYS OF SANTA CHIONIA follows Francesca, an American, as she heads to Calabria to set up a nursery school in the mountain town of Santa Chionia. She almost immediately learns of a skeleton found in town that is unidentified, as well as the stories of several lost young men from earlier in the town’s history. Franscesca then spends the majority of the novel searching for these missing boys and trying to identify that skeleton, despite the fact she is most definitely NOT the police.
If you enjoy historical fiction with strong women and stories steeped in factual interpretations and surprise endings, you will definitely enjoy this novel.
