I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

This has been on my TBR pile for so long, and I'm glad I finally got around to it. I really enjoyed the storyline and seeing the characters change throughout the story was a great character development. The plot was great and kept my attention. I'm glad I got the chance to read this and will be on the lookout for more in the future!

I had held off from reading this for awhile because I felt like I was picking up book after book in the NA genre with the same exact plot. I was so wrong with this one! This book had humor and it also had very touching moments that elevated it above a typical steamy romance read.

A genius girl.
Exceeding all expectations, Isabel entered the college too soon. All her life she had a single goal: to be a doctor.
But suddenly, she fails an examination and that dream is taken away from her.
Now, she would have to deal with people the same age as her.
But the problem is she doesn't know how to handle it. She has always been the prodigy, and now she is in the midst of normal people.

Until she meets Marsh and decides she wants to have a normal adolescent life by doing normal things.
And inevitably she falls in love.
But Marsh was a double-edged sword, and Isabel wants more than just enjoying the moment.
Among her therapy sessions, being surrounded by normal teens and being introduced to a new overpowering feeling - as strong as her willingness to be a doctor - Isabel would have to learn that there is more to her than having a privileged brain.

I love Julie Cross, but I had SO MUCH TROUBLE loving the characters in this one. I couldn't connect with them. I don't like leaving negative reviews, so I never reviewed this. I'm sorry!

I had a hard time finishing this book. I gave up a while ago and haven't come back to it until now. I aologize for not giving a proper review, but this title didn't entice me to read a substantial part of the book so I feel as though a review would be premature, especially since this was so long ago.

Best of luck,

TKB
