Sienna has a gift of knowing what people need and fixes a special blend of tea especially for them when they come to her shop. She and her friend Tovah have opened a tea shop but it is so much more. They have a stationary area where they sell beautiful paper, a chess table that provides everyone a chance to play a master, and wonderful company for anyone who walks in the door. Everyone becomes friends at Tea & Crumples. It sounds rather sweet, but there are some serious and heartbreaking undertones in the book. Several characters have dealt with the loss of an unborn child, Sienna's husband is dealing with a serious cancer scare and possibly the loss of his life in a short time and a Episcopalian Priest who's wife has left him after having an affair. All of these issues play a large part in this book. Part of it were very hard for me to read, having lost my husband to cancer within the last few years, but I also appreciated the faith aspect. This is a beautifully written Christian Story. There is prayer, miracles, discussion of church and how faith plays an important part in the life of the characters. I did enjoy getting to know the characters in the story. If you enjoy a good Christian Contemporary story, then you will enjoy this one.
