Received as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Nisha J Tuli does a phenomenal job of wrapping up this series in Tale of the Heart Queen. Something I wasn’t expecting was the way Lor managed to really unite the rulers of Ouranos, or the actions of a certain king towards the end.
I’m not going to lie when I realized this would be the last book in the series I wasn’t sure how that would work with so many things up in the air. Even when I began the book there was just so much I was worried the series would end with unanswered questions, thankfully that was not the case as the author had laid such intricate groundwork to begin with. The only thing I feel like was missing is some more details about Tristan and Willow, I would’ve liked to see a bit more of their futures.
Overall this entire series has been an amazing experience and I am very grateful to have been an ARC reader for this third and final book.

What a great ending to a great series.

It was bittersweet to finish reading this, but I was really happy with how Lor came full circle. With a mountain of problems to face, Lor, Nadir, and their friends and family must figure out how to defeat Zerra, raise the Heart Queendom, complete Lor and Nadir’s bonding, control Lor’s magic, the list goes on and on! I was pleasantly surprised with how the Zerra situation turned out too, what a selfless thing to do 🥹 And the Warders?! 😭😭
I loved this series and cannot recommend it enough for fans of Romantasy, Nisha killed this!

This series has been a new favorite of mine this year and I’ve been anxiously waiting this final book. In the conclusion Lor is on the run from the Aurora King and decides it's time to end this, once and for all. As the land continues to rebel, Lor must admit she is the key to saving the continent, whether she likes it or not. When the Aurora King finally comes for her, Lor ventures into the Underworld's shadowy depths, where, once again, she finds herself at the heart of another deadly test. Only this time, she's competing for everyone's future, not just a crown.
I think this series is definitely worth the read but this final book was my least favorite. I feel like the last half of the book was disconnected from the first half. I think I would’ve liked this better if it was half the length. This book lost some of the charm and addictive quality the first 3 books had. I liked the way things wrapped up even though I feel like the book dragged from 70% on.
I do look forward to reading more books by this author!

Tale of the Heart Queen by Nisha J Tuli
I’m not crying you’re crying. This was the perfect conclusion to this series, and I’m just sad it is over. The way my heart was in my ass the vast majority of this book is insane. I literally cannot get over this series and this concluding installment. I laughed, cried, screamed into the void, giggled, blushed, raged and every other emotion in between. This series has easily become one of my favorite all time series and I’m so dang glad I finally read it.
I already miss the characters, the world, and the relationships. Highly recommend this series ✨🩷

The perfect conclusion to the perfect series! I loved the way Nisha ended things and I’m going to miss the characters, this world, and everything about it. The action was intense and had me on the edge of my seat, and it’s safe to say I was more than bawling a couple of times while reading this. This rollercoaster of emotions was only made possible by Nisha herself, and I loved getting to experience this. My comfort series for sure.

A jam-packed finale to the Artefacts of Ouranus quartet! Coming off the cliffhanger from the last book, Lor is out for a little bit of revenge and a little bit of making the world a better place. She makes plenty of impulsive decisions (as usual), and it reminded me of why I enjoy this particular fantasy romance/romantasy. Lor is an individual character with a personality. She is fallible and struggles with her limits. Her mistakes aren't ever her being dumb or useless, they are her doing what she thinks is necessary and then, they either work out, or they don't and she learns from it a little.
(Maybe spoiler alert so skip this paragraph if you want.) That whole typical trope where the female character gives up her powers to save the one she loves-you're not gonna see that here. I really enjoyed that. Everything wrapped up well, and Im glad I read this series.
In conclusion: really liked it!
Thanks to Netgalley and Forever Publishing for the e-ARC and ARC!

The Tale of The Heart Queen is one of the BEST final books in a series I’ve ever read. This novel comes as close to perfection as an author can get when wrapping things up, and I don’t say that lightly.
I was absolutely blown away by how many amazing full circle moments occurred between these pages. I’m not exaggerating when I tell you that my inner fangirl was literally slow clapping at some of these scenes.
The plot was so well thought out. Nisha J. Tuli absolutely knew where she was going with this story and was able to “land the plane” in such a satisfying way.
If you’re a fan of closure, like myself, you’ll especially enjoy this final installment of the Artifacts of Ouranos series. By the end of the book, you’ll know, for better or worse, what happened to everyone. You won’t have to question or guess because it’s all laid out for you perfectly on the page. That’s exactly the kind of ending I love and I’m thrilled that Nisha J. Tuli gave it to us readers.

It is bittersweet to be finished with this series I have come to live.
I often wondered how everything would be wrapped up in this final book, because so much needed to happen with multiple characters. Somehow, Nisha pulled it off and left no stone unturned.
My heart ached for Lor and Nadir throughout this book. It's hard to believe their relationship has spanned only a few months, because they have grown so much throughout this series. They've been through so much in such a short amount of time.
Told in multiple points of view, including Nadir, Gabriel and even Rion, this story culminates beautifully into a nail-biting, action-packed crescendo.
This was a book I could hardly put down. When I wasn't reading it, I was thinking about it. I'm sad that it's over, but so happy to have experienced the journey all the same.

Spice rating: 🔥🌶️ Solid spice that compliments all the action and wrap ups in this final installment.
Fav quotes:
I found my mate through the most unlikely set of circumstances, and all I want is to disappear with her somewhere we can be alone to explore one another, where I can protect her. Everyone is trying to kill her or cage her, but they’ll have to go through me first.
It’s in that moment that I choose to forgive him. Not for his sake, but for mine. I will no longer live with this in my heart.
He’s not just beautiful, he’s raw and wild, forged in the knifing chill of arctic winds and the sinuous glow of the northern lights.
“Go and get your girl,” he whispers as we release our hold. “I love you.”
“I love you, too.” (WE LOVE A DEEP MALE FRIENDSHIP MOMENT!!! 👏👏👏👏👏)
“Everyone has always underestimated me,” I repeat. “But Herric, Lord of the Underworld, that mistake is about to cost you everything because I. Am. The f^cking Heart Queen.”
Personal rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.25/5
It’s hard for me to rate a final book on its own in a series. I lean more towards rating the series as a whole. And I would give the whole series a solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️-4.25/5!
If you like Hunger Games vibes with Shadow Daddy/enemies to lovers/fated mates/revenge and family themes, this series is for you! I’ve seen some compare it to ACOTAR but it didn’t really vibe that way for me. But it certainly has delicious action, steamy spice, and girl rage that makes you wanna stand up and cheer! Especially this final book.

3.5⭐️ Unfortunately, this was a pretty anticlimactic ending for me. The pacing felt so slow, and honestly, I think I would’ve enjoyed it more if it had been a trilogy. There were still so many things that needed to be explained in this last book, and it just felt like it dragged. Plus, a lot of the world-building in this book felt like it should’ve been spread throughout the series—it ended up feeling super info-dumpy here. The spice also felt a little forced, like it was only added because there hadn’t been any yet, and it didn’t flow naturally with the story. After all the build-up, the ending kind of fell flat. That said, books 2 and 3 were definitely my favorites in the series!

Yes. 1,000 times yes. You simply HAVE to read this entire series. Every book is amazing and this is one of the best conclusions of a series in, forever? I dare say. Nisha J Tuli is a phenomenal writer who just has a way of writing epic tales full of amazing characters, mesmerizing worlds and magic systems that are completely captivating. This entire series does an incredible job of building upon each previous book and as a whole it is a 5 star series. In fact, every book was 5 stars. Please, do yourself a favor, and pick up this series.
Nisha also loves food and has a way of describing dishes that will make anyone hungry! I love this detail in all of her books.

Finally getting my hands on the fourth and final book of this series makes my soul happy. The cover art is gorgeous and dark which is a great reflection of the story unfolding inside but do not pick this book up unless you have already immersed yourself in the world and are ready for everything to be wrapped up nicely.
Since this is the fourth in a series and the finale, I will do my best to stay away from spoilers. There's lot of emotion, especially if you've invested time into reading the others. There are twists and turns which play out in a satisfying way and characters who are well flushed out. As noted by a few others, this book does have a different atmosphere than the first three. I am not sure if it's because the author knew she was wrapping everything up or what. The resolutions for the series really do come at the very end of this book, so there's a bit of a slow roll to get things resolved.
If you enjoy romantasy (romance/ fantasy) this may be a series for you to sink your teeth into while you wait for other books in other series to hit the shelves.

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
I'm in a bit of a reading slump right now, but I think in another point of my life, I may have rated this book higher. I love Nisha's books and have read all of them, and Trial of the Sun Queen (the first installment of this series) was one of my favorites of the year I read it!
I had a bit of trouble staying in tune with all of the different plot points going on, and connecting it to the other books. But this may be because I read them as they came out and no in sequence. I will always be a Lor and Nadir stan and I loved how their relationship came to full fruition in this installment. The ending of this book took after SJM and was absolutely action packed!!
I will continue to read all of Nisha's books, but i'm sad this series is over!

First, I want to say that I loved the first book, I read the second, and then when I got the arc for the fourth one I had to buy and read the third to keep up with the story. As the series goes on, it gets more raunchy, more spicy, and more wild. So much so that it makes me uncomfortable. The third book had a lot of adult content that I did not appreciate. I’m fine with reading some spice, but brothels, and see-through clothing, and all the rest is just too much. Within the first few chapters of book 4 there’s a threesome. It has just become too much so I will not be finishing this book.
But this is my review.
If I could rate this zero stars, I would. I’m sad to say that the series has become more about how spicy it can get than the actual storyline.
Thank you, NetGalley and Forever Publisher for my copy of this ARC to give my honest review.

I can’t believe this series has come to an end! Nisha J. Tuli has taken us on such a captivating journey through this world, and Tale of the Heart Queen delivers a satisfying conclusion that ties up all the loose ends we’ve been waiting for.
Lor’s adventures in this final installment are packed with high stakes, heart-pounding moments, and surprises around every corner. From racing against villains both familiar and new to venturing into the shadowy depths of the Underworld, Lor’s determination to save her people and fight for her freedom truly shines. Fans of the series will love seeing favorite characters return to help her in this epic showdown.
While the ending lives up to the promises made throughout the series and provides a fitting conclusion, I did feel this book had a different tone compared to the earlier ones. With so many storylines to wrap up, the pacing occasionally felt slower, and the book’s length was noticeably longer than its predecessors. That said, it’s still a worthy finale, and fans won’t be disappointed.
If you’ve been following Lor’s story, don’t miss this bittersweet yet fulfilling conclusion to a series that has captured so many hearts on BookTok!

From “That bitch took my soap” to the final line of Tale of the Heart Queen, I have loved Lor. The journey she has taken us on has been heart breaking, soul destroying and FINALLY incredibly satisfying.
The last book in this series continues with Lor, Nadir and all of the amazing family and found family fighting to rid the realm of the despicable Sun King and the even more despicable Aurora King and restore the Heart kingdom. The lengths they have to go to and the conflicts they face are so harrowing, my anxiety was spiking. I can’t believe what Nisha put these characters through.
My favorite thing about this story is the relationship between Lor and Nadir. Their love is so pure and magical and the devotion between them brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. Nadir is top tier book boyfriend material and I couldn’t love him more.
Nisha Tuli’s gift is writing characters who are so multi faceted with such depth and emotional intelligence, we can’t help but love them and root for them.
I’m so sad this series is done. I’ll miss these characters but the conclusion was so satisfying that I’m smiling and thankful that I had the opportunity to go on the journey with them.
If you love a romantic slow burn fantasy with an amazing cast of characters facing seemingly insurmountable odds, you’ll love this series.

Wow, what a finisher for the series! Tale of the Heart Queen did not disappoint and Nisha did a fantastic job drawing the story to a close. As much as I hate having a series end, it takes a special writer to make the ending an enjoyable read. The culmination of the story and characters left me sad it was over but smiling at how everything came together for each character that I had come to love.
This last installment of the Artifacts of Ouranos series releases November 26! Get your preorder in now…you won’t be disappointed as Lor and Nadir wrap up their story surrounded by their family and friends.
Thank you to Nisha and Forever Publishing for letting me read this ARC!
I was drawn to this book because of the cover…I think it is beautifully done and it compliments the title beautifully. Well done to the publisher and author for their choice.
The story follows the heroine, grief stricken after losing her anchors for her magic, and her strive for redemption and purpose. Honestly, there was a lot of information dropped in the reader’s lap very quickly…and it took time to figure out what was going on. After that, the pace of the book and storyline was a bit all over the place. I didn’t connect with the characters like I would like. I am sure others will enjoy this dark fantasy book but it was not for me.
Thank you.

I wish there had been more of a recap. Having been so long since I read the 3rd book, I had forgotten exactly what led up to the moment of the opening chapter.
Books 1-3 were great! This book was good, but it was a book of tying up ends, not necessarily explaining anything further or MC growth. The character growth that did happen was for side characters and bad guys… which was an interesting choice.
The big bad had quite the setup for very little payout. There was so much opportunity to expand on his role, magic and setting. We got the barest of that, which was disappointing.
I felt like every chapter was a closing chapter… which made the reading experience unfortunately, very repetitive. All the things that were listed as problems by the characters just… fix themselves quickly and neatly. This could have been edited a little more to cut some of the repetitive moments and internal dialogue in favor of SHOWING us more of the key aspects from the previous books resolved.
I liked how it ended… but thought the final steps of the lead up were skimmed over.
Thank you NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for an Advanced eReader Copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

This is the final installment of an incredible series. I'm a huge fan of Nisha and I think she has an incredible talent for building worlds and characters. So if you've gotten this far you likely believe something similar and will be reading this book.
Personally, I think this ending was too neat. Everything was tidy and complete with very little mess. It made the book a bit slow for me, especially with the girth of this monster text. Do I have a better way to wrap it up? nope. It was probably what the series needed but it was less satisfying for me than I expected. It's still a casually biased 4 star read and I'm happy I completed this series and am sad to be leaving this fantasy realm.
Thank you so much to Nisha J Tuli, Forever Pub and Netgalley for this ARC. I attest that I am leaving my review voluntarily and honestly.

I was really excited to read this final book in the series, especially after that painful cliffhanger at the end of book 3! But unfortunately, for me, this book did not live up to my expectations.
What I did enjoy about this book was the deeper dive into some of the character back stories. Learning more about Gabriel and his relationship with the Sun King was interesting. I enjoyed getting more backstory about Nadir’s mother and her relationship with Rion. I’ve said from the beginning but I’ve always appreciated Tuli’s attention to representation of race and sexuality in this series. She’s done it in a thoughtful and inclusive way. This book as well as the series as a whole has also always felt playful and fun, never taking itself too seriously. Something the genre could use more of.
That being said, what I didn’t enjoy about this book was mainly the last 25%. The story felt rushed and disjointed, especially with the addition of new characters and side quests. Too many villains were introduced in this story and it was hard for me to wrap my head around what the main end goal was. Zerra’s backstory was not developed enough for me and that made her character fall flat. Rion, despite development on his backstory with Nadir, also felt disjointed and his actions in the end didn’t feel cohesive with the rest of the series. The smut scenes in this book also felt disjointed and even a little too much at times. I’m a girl who loves her smutty faerie books but i unfortunately found myself rolling my eyes at a few scenes.
Bottom line: a disappointing ending to what has been as a whole, a very enjoyable series. I still think this is a worthwhile series to read and I still had a great time reading it. 2.5/5
My deepest gratitude and thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
