Wonderful book, sadly probably the end to this series.
The last of the Pope brothers, Brendan, lives a quiet life, head pastry chef at a local hotel and spends time off with his extended family in Jubilee. Harley Banks, an investigator is hired to audit and investigate happenings at the hotel, and the two meet. There are multiple storylines in this book, stalking, trafficking, murder and deceit, all impacting Harley, Brendan and the family.
I have completely enjoyed this series as well as prior series by Sharon Sala, and I am already looking forward to the next creation. The stories are well-written, and the reader becomes vested in the outcomes as the series’ evolve over time. You see the characters grow, children are born and grow up. Highly recommend.
Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.

Sharon Sala brings us back to Jubilee and the Pope family. We meet Harley Banks when she comes over to investigates Serenity Inn where head pastry chef Brendan Pope works. There is an instant attraction as he helps her with the investigation. Meanwhile, she has become a loose string from the last investigation she helped with and has become a target to ensure that their operation can still go forward. Brendan and Harley must work together against time as a killer has come to Jubilee to solve not just one but two investigations. Will they be able to solve them while dodging the killer who is after her? Will these investigations bring them closer together, or will their stubbornness work against them?
Sharon Sala brings us back to the Jubilee series and we meet up with Brendan Pope and his life as the head pastry chef at Serenity Inn. Because we have been there before, it feels like we are visiting with the people we had met before and we get to catch up with them. You get to follow along with Brendan and Harley as they maneuver around those who are wanting to hurt them as well as the everyday hurdles that life seems to throw at them. You keep wanting to turn the page to see what happens next and what they do while hoping that their story keeps going. I look forward to reading more from this author and getting to visit friends from Jubilee.
I have read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I would like to thank NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca | Sourcebooks Casablanca for this privilege.

Bad Seed by Sharon Sala (Jubilee, Kentucky #5) 4 stars
This looks like the last Pope Brother book and it features Brendan Pope, the youngest of the Pope Brothers. A pastry chef by trade, this motorcycle riding hunk is paired with Harley Banks, a private investigator/auditor. There are multiple story lines involving the main characters with the typical Sharon Sala flare. The good guys prevail and the bad guys either end up dead or punished. You get to visit characters from the previous book for a view of their current lives. Heartwarming, adventurous and a vintage Sharon Sala. If you liked her other books, you will like this one.
Thank you Netgalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for this ARC.

Emotional, tense romantic suspense. I am never disappointed by this author and I can't stop reading her books. This book is about Brendan Pope and he may finally find his own true love. I couldn't put the book down but it is a lengthy story so I excitedly read it in two sittings. I love the characters and they are kind and down to earth. The plot is chock full of suspense building and you feel the action in your bones!

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Hailey is traveling to Kentucky for her next case. She is an accountant whose specialty in weeding out corruption. She meets Brendan who she likes. I enjoyed this book and can't wait to read her next one.

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I was in need of a break from Romantasy, so I saw this and added it to my TBR. I haven't read anything by this author before, and I have to change that after reading this. I really enjoyed her writing style, it really grabbed me and dragged me into the story. The characters were all interesting, I loved Brendan. This was definitely a fun read and I recommend this book if you need a break.

This is a fantastic book! I was shocked by the ending, and was gripping to find out the whole book. It kept me on the edge of my seat. Absolultely phenomenal! Well done Sharon Sala, looking forward to reading more of your books.

It was great to go back to Jubilee and see what the Pope family has been up. PI Harley has come to town to do an audit on the books at a local hotel, but her last case seems to have followed her. Human trafficking, a psychotic stalker, fraud and a romance. What more could you ask for in a book. This is a great series and I have enjoyed all of them. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

I was happy to visit Jubilee,Ky and the Pope family again. It was love at first site between pastry chef Brendan Pope and private investigator Harley Banks. It wasn’t smooth sailing because a hitman was after her. Lots of romance and suspense. I also was happy to catch up with the other Pope brothers and their families. I loved this book and this series.

What an adventure reading this book was. The characters are wonderful. Brendan and Harley are a wonderful and fun couple. Harley has managed to ensnare herself in quite a bit of danger. The relationships in the book are fascinating. Sharon Sala has a unique way of writing about people and their choices and how one pays for their wrong choices. Her books always leaves me happy and smiling.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.

Romance in a small town where almost everyone is family - add in human traffickers, corporate fraud and intrigue, a psychopathic stalker, and a paid assassin, all revolving around two people hit by Cupid's arrow on sight. A lot of simmer, little spice, and quite a bit of emotions.
