I received an ARC from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

This was a nice spring/summer read filled with romance, family life, and romance. Ben returns to his small hometown anticipating that he would be selling his Grandfathers home but little did he know the impact on seeing Mylie again would have on him. This had some quirky humor and some heart tugging family and relationship moments. Granny, Morris and Fat Tony were some of my favorite characters in the book as well and add some of their own humor to the story.

Nice read with a little spice.

This story follows childhood best friends who reconnect when Ben arrives back to the small town. This book is cute and perfect for a summer read. The story is good but not the best I have read. There was too much going on and nothing at the same time. I liked the small town aspect and the characters developing. I do wish the story was told from 1st person even though it was dual pov beause it was just so hard not seeing other pronouns. The past timeline was random at time and wish it was more constant than rare.

Mylie is the FMC who lives with her Granny and little sister but misses her best friend. I liked her character and seeing her grow to become the person she is. Ben is the MMC and as much as he’s a sweetheart, I just didn’t connect with his character. I felt there was more to his character and there could have been a stronger development. There are many side characters in this book but none that I truly liked except Granny. The romance in this book if childhood friends to lovers and small town. The romance could have been better as I felt it was rushed.

The ending was good but I kind of didn’t care for it. I feel like I didn’t read anything popped out or made the story original. It was cute but needed some improvement with the conflicts and storyline.

*this book was sent to me by the publisher to give an honest review in return*

Spring Fling was cute, but definitely not the best. The characters were a bit flat and we didn't get much in the way of understanding why the characters made the choices they did other than 'love'. It's a nice second chance romance story, but was way too predictable- I mean, we all know how most romances wind up, but it was so on the nose. The spice aspect of the romance was open door, but still lacked some passion, so if you expect a lot going on, you really won't get it in this book, but that can be a refreshing change of pace if you are wanting to step back from something super explicit. It's enjoyable enough.

This was a cozy, small-town second chance romance with plenty of heart. Mylie is holding it down in Clay Creek with her thriving tackle shop, her quirky family, and a fishing tournament to win. Then Ben rolls back into town, all grown up and unexpectedly handsome, bringing old feelings and unfinished business with him.

The story flips between present-day and flashbacks, which gave a sweet look at their friendship-turned-almost-romance from the past. I liked seeing their history unfold alongside their reunion, even if the story didn’t fully sweep me away.
The romance was cute and easy to root for.

What really stood out was the audiobook. Amanda Stribling's narration brought everything to life, and her Southern accent made it feel even more grounded and authentic.

Overall, this is a nice, low-stakes read perfect for spring. Comforting, a little nostalgic, and just the right length.
3.5⭐️

Thank you to NetGalley and Avon Harper Voyager for this e-arc in exchange for my honest opinion.

So; if you love gilmore girls for all of it's quirks then you will need to give this book a shot. The characters in town are all quirky and hilarious. The book overall was nothing really memorable, but the dog and the raccoon? They I will be thinking of for quite awhile!

Mylie has grown up in Clay Creek, where she lives with her Granny and younger sister, Cassie. She has her own business, and has her best friend, Jodie, who works with her. The only thing she doesn't have is love, but when her high school crush, Ben, returns to Clay Creek to sell his family home, the attraction resurfaces. Ben is only in town to sell the house, then he is headed to a big university on the East Coast for a teaching job.

This is a cute small town romance! Special thanks to the Publisher and NetGalley for the advanced reader copy of this title. Spring Fling is available NOW!

It was cute and fine while I was reading it, but there was not much about it I LOVED and I'm certain I will forget the plot entirely in a few weeks, if that. It was a fine book, meaning nothing realllllly wrong with it, but nothing super right either.

Thank you Net Galley and Avon and Harper Voyager for the eARC!

A sweet story, anchored by a charming cast of characters. However, the narrative felt a bit muddled by too many subplots, leaving little time to fully develop the main story arc in the way the characters deserved. While the book has great chemistry and is still a worthwhile read, there were many moments where I felt the author could have taken us deeper with more intentional storytelling and development.

Spring Fling by Annie England Noblin is a charming small-town friends-to-lovers romance that delivers exactly what you'd expect—nothing more, nothing less.

The setting of Clay Creek is cozy and picturesque, and Mylie is a likable, grounded heroine. I appreciated the strong sense of community, the all-women fishing team was a fun touch, and Granny and Cassie added warmth and humor to the story. Ben’s return to town brings the expected wave of nostalgia and unresolved feelings, which unfold just the way you’d predict.

And that’s really the core of this book—it’s sweet and easy to read, but doesn’t bring anything particularly new to the table. The plot is straightforward, the romantic beats are familiar, and while the chemistry is there, it didn’t quite sizzle.

If you’re looking for a light, feel-good romance with a small-town charm and no big surprises, Spring Fling fits the bill. But if you’re craving something that shakes up the trope or digs a little deeper emotionally, this one might leave you wanting more.

Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to to read Spring Fling by Annie England Noblin.

Small Town Arkansas has everything Mylie could want. She's happy as the owner of a tackle shop and has the best of companions in her little sister, best friend, and Granny. But the biy that got away moves back next door to sell off his family's house and Mylie is equal parts happy and sad to see Ben again.
The first half was entertaining and I loved how Annie embraces life in the south. Granny is a hoot and a half! I wanted more character development and grander feels from the main characters though. With such a strong and delightful first half, I was surprised how much the second half tapered off. I almost would have liked it better had Mylie not had an HEA and just went for a life as a powerhouse single woman. This book would be a fun accompaniment on a trip to the lake.
Thank you to Avon Books for the gifted copy. All thoughts are mine.

This was a heartfelt small-town second chance romance. Ben moved to Clay Creek, Arkansas in sixth grade and quickly became best friends with his neighbor, Mylie. But with one foot always out the door, planning to return to Chicago for college, Mylie never confessed her deeper feelings.

Fast forward ten years—Ben returns with the same big-city mindset, just waiting for his grandfather’s house to sell. As he reconnects with Mylie, he starts to appreciate the charm of small-town life. But while their bond grows stronger, he’s still chasing something “more,” while Mylie is deeply rooted in Clay Creek, building her business and raising her younger sister.

Their chemistry is undeniable, but their conflicting dreams leave them at a crossroads once again.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harper Collins for this free advanced copy. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Mylie and Ben were best friends growing up. After his dad died, Ben and his mom moved to Clay Creek and the small town couldn’t be more different than Chicago. After graduating, he was moving back to Chicago and thought he’d never see Clay Creek again. While Mylie was devastated when he left, she made her own live with a thriving business, a great family, and good friends. When Ben comes back to town after his mom passes away, he’s looking to sell the house and move on but once him and Mylie reconnect it’s easier said than done.

This book was cute. I love Mylie. She was a powerhouse character- determined, driven, and fiercely protective of those she loves. This is the perfect feel-good, friends-to-lovers, second chance romance that we all need. Thank you so much to @aenoblin and @netgalley for the arc of this book!

This was a old friends to lovers trope with small town vibes. The book overall was very cutesy, but also way spicier than I would have thought. I think it was a bit much for the vibes and was weirdly graphic during the spicy scenes that I felt came from nowhere. I didn't exactly fall for the main characters, and I think the end wrapped up too quickly.

Unfortunately, the only thing I liked about this was the cover. I was bored by the characters. The writing seemed too simplistic. I just didn’t care for this at all.

firstly, thank you to the publisher for an arc and an alc!

unfortunately, dnf’d @50% — i just did not care about the plot whatsoever. there were also wayyy too many flashbacks to when our mcs were children and i just could not remain interested.

as for the narrator, she did an ok job!

This was a feel good romance that just makes you smile. Best friends, lost love, small town vs big city, all things that make for a sweet story. Add in a high school bully who never grew up- and never amounted to much and you have a story.

Mylie and Ben were best friends until Ben moved to Chicago for college. Now Ben is back in tiny little Clay Ceeek to fulfill a promise to his mom and to sell his grandfather's house. He plans the trip to be quick and to keep to himself, but that's not the way of a small town, especially when you and your childhood BFF have unrequited feelings for each other and your houses happen to be next to each other. A wonderful supporting cast rounds it all out - foul mouthed but lovable granny, Mylie's little sister Cassie, and her best friend Melissa.

This is a wonderful romance to make you forget your troubles for a moment.

Thank you NetGalley for giving me this ARC for my honest review!

While I typically love a small town romance, this one didn’t hit for me. Mylie and Ben felt very flat. I was waiting for some sparks, and they never came. Honestly I’m not convinced they will stay together (or should have been together in the first place.)

I loved the flashbacks to their childhood, I think that gave great insight to the characters and their motivations. Also, I enjoyed getting to know the other characters that live in Clay Creek. I wish we got to see more of the other characters! (and less of Robbie, that whole story line was weird to me)
