Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the ARC!

I always enjoy brushing up on my parenting techniques as more research and insight comes to light. Right up front, I will say that sometimes reading about parenting techniques can actually be a bit triggering. That was how I knew I was getting something positive from this book though! It often made me stop and think about reactions and processes and how they can be adjusted even slightly to ease the load and accept where you are at with your little one.

Written as a sequel of sorts to her 2022 book Parent Like a Pediatrician, which is about caring for babies, this new title walks parents through some of the common challenges of raising a child between the ages of one and three years old. As the title implies, these topics include nutrition and picky eating, nap schedules and sleep regressions, and tantrums. (Although not in that order) Some of the other chapters include toilet training, separation anxiety, thumb-sucking, vaccines, and screentime. Despite the author’s impressive credentials as a pediatrician and professor, she does an excellent job of communicating this wealth of knowledge in an easy-to-read, conversational tone; it comes across as validation and friendly advice from a sympathetic mom friend. But her medical background makes her fully qualified to point out that so much of the parenting advice out there, both the social media trends and the expert-endorsed advice, is not backed by actual scientific data, and that loving parents are generally the best judges of what’s best for their own kids.

EAT SLEEP TANTRUM REPEAT - REBEKAH DIAMOND

A parenting book written by a doctor with her medical and personal experiences combined makes this am informative and highly effective read.
All parenting challenges or troubles are highlighted and a definitive or a probable scientific explanation is given this helping in reassuring the parents as to what they are dealing with.
The best past of the book is that after each chapter we have "The Bottom Line" which encapsulates and gives us bullet points of the entire topic this making it easier to refer time and again.
This book will be perfect for parents who have infants and toddlers .

I'm obsessed! This is THE parenting book you should be reading and sharing with your friends. I feel so reassured on the topics discussed throughout and comforted on the difficult topics parents are facing now. I loved Dr. Diamond's personal stories that made the entire book feel so relatable. I really felt like I was getting advice from a friend rather than being lectured by a pediatrician. I love this. My toddler is almost three but I added her first book to my TBR. Thank you for the early access and Go Blue! :)

As a mom of two young kids, I was so excited to dive into Eat Sleep Tantrum Repeat. I love Diamond's refreshing approach of mixing science-based parenting with common sense and leaving the mom guilt behind. She offers many practical solutions to struggles that toddler parents encounter daily and I found her writing to be very down to earth and easy to read. She covers so many topics in the book which is extremely helpful. Each chapter also ends with "The Bottom Line" which summarizes the key points for quick access to the information. I always love that feature in parenting books because sometimes we just need a quick refresher with the limited time we have. Overall, this book is one that I can see myself going back to again and again while in the thick of parenting a toddler.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Kensington Publishing Citadel for the ARC!

This book was a quick read that I felt went straight to the point for each topic which was a refreshing change. A lot of parenting books I've read get sidetracked in their storytelling. I also enjoyed how the author did not provide any mom guilt or shaming regarding the different decisions that we have to make in our daily lives. Overall this book was an encouraging read with some great points in it about toddlers. Eat Sleep Tantrum Repeat is a 5 star rating for me that I would recommend to new parents constantly.

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for providing me an arc.
