Beauty and the Beach is swoony beach read featuring marriage of convenience between two characters who grew up together and have shared trauma. The dual narration was really fun, too.

The history between Holland and Phoenix was the perfect (albeit sad) set up for their arrangement and their forced proximity allowed them to grow together from enemies to lovers with the cutest banter -- their nicknames for each other were my favorite part of this book. 😂

Looking forward to visiting Sunset Harbor for the rest of the books in this series!

Another sweet and heartfelt book in the Falling for summer series that sees two people with a history teaming up for a marriage of convenience and trying to resist the VERY real feelings between them. I LOVED the chemistry between Phoenix and Holland and their backstory/past history. This was great on audio and delivered on all the feels. Highly recommended for fans of kissing only, beach reads and authors like Savannah Scott. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review!

I couldn't get enough of Beauty and the Beach! It's a perfect summer read and the audiobook is another level! It was so good, it's packed with the kind of witty banter that had me giggling throughout and I was hooked from start to end.

Phoenix and Holland's chemistry is off the charts, I love their hilarious exchanges and quirky nicknames they had for each other is pure comedy gold!

The narrators nailed every punchline, making even the most absurd situations feel heartwarmingly relatable and brought every characters to life. If you're into romcoms that balance humor with genuine charm, this audiobook is an absolute must-listen!

This book was so good, I couldn't put it down until I finished it! Worth the loss of sleep to stay up and finish in one sitting! I love dual POV as well as dual narration. The narrators did a fantastic job with this sweet Summer enemies to lovers romance!

I received an audio ARC through Netgalley and all opinions are my own.

Beauty And The Beach is book 5 in the Falling For Summer multi author series. It reads completely fine as a standalone. I absolutely loved this one. It was funny, sweet, heartbreaking and swoony. There's some deeper themes that are explored but I thought the author navigated through it extremely well. Marriage of convenience and enemies to lovers, the perfect tropes !

Phoenix & Holland think they hate each other, typical “enemies” but when they start discovering their feelings I was so happy !! Their banter, their chemistry, the tension, the pranks, the nicknames they call each other, everything was just the perfect blend. The character growth is also immaculate in this book and I truly loved that!

Such a fun and easy read to get lost in. I enjoyed every single second, I was hooked from start to finish. It won't be my last book by this author, that's for sure !

🎧 The narration by Rylee Kuberra & John Rogers was amazing. They brought the characters and the story to life. I could feel the emotions through their voices. Really great performance.

✨️Thank you to @netgalley, @dreamscapemedia, @gracieruthmitchell for my gifted ALC in exchange for an honest review.

Beauty and the Beach is a fun summery enemies to lovers, brother’s best friend, contractual marriage romcom. It is the 5th book in the Falling for Summer series of books taking place at Sunset Harbor.

Phoenix is set to inherit his family’s business when his grandmother changes the stipulations saying that the person inheriting the business needs to be married. All of a sudden he needs to find a wife and he asks his best friend’s sister, Holland, even though he hates her. Holland agrees because she needs money and Phoenix is prepared to pay her and pay for her sister’s schooling.

The two main characters had some funny moments. They pranked one another and had some witty banter. But Phoenix’s hatred of Holland for most of the book just seemed over the top ridiculous. He seemed repulsed by her for so long! They had some shared past trauma that they bonded over.

There’s no explicit spice. They kiss but nothing else.

I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed both narrators. They were the same people from Beachy Keen! In this book, one person narrates each chapter rather than switching for male/female characters.

I ADORE Holland and Phoenix. Two adults who manage to incite the worst behavior out of the other also managed to pull off one of the best romances and I was all in. I enjoy an enemy to lovers trope, but when it comes to rom-coms, these two take the cake!!! Between the laugh out loud dialogue, the cringey (but totally cute) banter, and the all out chemistry, I devoured this book! There was far more depth than I anticipated and I enjoyed the flashbacks to provide context and meaning. Mixed with the zingy one-liners, there’s a surprising amount of insightful lines added in. Gracie Ruth Mitchell is a new to me author, but given this experience (and it was an experience), I will be looking for others!
Additionally, listening to the story come to life via audiobook was fantastic. The narrators really carried the banter and emotions.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher via NetGalley and all opinions expressed are solely my own, freely given.

I am really enjoying the Falling for Summer series and returning to Sunset Harbor. Beauty and the Beach is a cute enemies-to-lovers and marriage of convenience story with a fabulous FMC, Holland, and a grumpy MC, Phoenix. The romance is slow-burn and sweet, but my favorite part was the banter. The narrators did a great job portraying the characters. Overall, it was an enjoyable summer read and great escape. Thank you to the author, NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for gifting me an ALC in exchange for my honest review.

Fake relationship well contact marriage and the leads absolutely loathe eachother yet they are the only shot at help, each need to their problems of life.
The plotline is fast and the narration is easy breezy, even though this is a part of series but it can be easily read as a standalone and I did. I am glad I was given an opportunity to read n enjoy this audiobook. The narrators were amazing too.

This contains an audiobook review.

This book is part of the Falling for Summer series. There are 7 closed-door/kisses only standalone books written by 7 different authors. Each book has its own plot but characters from the other books do make appearances. The series can be read in any order.

I really enjoyed this modern day marriage of convenience story. That is one of my favorite tropes. There is also an enemies to more and brother's best friend aspect as well. The banter and pranks between Phoenix and Holland are entertaining. I thought the romance was well developed also.

While it is a romantic comedy, there is a deeper theme of coping with loss of a loved one. The loss happens in the past but is referred to throughout the story because it is a major theme for the main characters.

The story is a dual person point of view and the audiobook has both a male and female narrator. It is not read as a duet, where each narrator reads all of the characters' parts of their respective gender. They each read the entire chapter that is told from the point of view of their character, including the opposite gender dialog. I thought they both did a nice job of reading for all of the characters. I guess I noticed this distinction mostly because I had just listened to a different book in this series read by these same narrators but in the duet format. (That book is Beachy Keen).

I want to express my appreciation to Dreamscape Media, Gracie Ruth Mitchell and Netgalley for the opportunity to listen to an advanced copy of this audiobook. I am happily leaving an honest review.

I am loving the Falling for Summer series, and Beauty and the Beach is another fun romp! Enemies-to-lovers isn't usually my favorite trope, but it worked so well here with the addition of brother's best friend, shared history, family drama, inheritance, and marriage of convenience. This book pulled me in hard and fast, but I felt like it dragged a bit in the middle. The narrators were new to me and did a wonderful job portraying the characters. Overall, it was a really solid romance and I can't wait for more from this series!

Thank you to Dreamscape Media for gifting me with an ALC to review! All opinions are my own.

I seen the name and the fact i am obsessed with beauty and the beast so obviously i had to read this one but also being i recently read Beachy Keen and enjoyed my time, i needed to read this one. Truth i think i plan to read all of the other books as well when i can.

Phoenix and Holland are the cutest and their relationship is one of a kind. His family on the other hand are very much trash and i am happy with how the ending went.

💛 marriage of convenience
🩵 brother’s best friend
💛 hate to love
🩵 prank wars
💛 “that’s my wife”
🩵 sizzling chemistry
💛 summer vibes

I am giving this one 3.5 wishing it was as good as beachy keen but i still enjoyed my time with it. I found myself not fully wanting to pick the book up as much as i wanted to.

This is my first book by this author. I loved it. It was a quick read but with depth. Jt had me smiling and laughing and immersed in the characters life. I will be reading more books in this series. I love the crossovers. I will read more from the author as well.

3.5/5 stars
A cute romance. “Enemies” to lovers. It is a stretch cause they’ve always had feelings for each other.
His family is frustrating and infuriating.

Phoenix and Holland are absolutely brutal to each other. But you know what they say about the line between love and hate.

Phoenix promised Holland’s brother that he would take care of her after his passing. But when a MOC is needed for his career to proceed, Holland is the one and only option.

When their boundaries and hate for each other are tested, these two have their feelings challenged. Should they grow from the past and put it behind them?

While every bit a romcom, this story does touch on deep topics in a a beautiful way. In typical Gracie Ruth Mitchell fashion, this story is funny, heart warming and sincere. I love Phoenix and Holland, I felt like they were my friends and I was shipping them so hard. Their story will pull at your heart strings but also have you cheering on both sides when they’re fighting.

CW/TW: Closed door with Innuendo. Car wreck, death of sibling (past). Heated kisses only. No cursing.

I absolutely loved this book! The banter, the chemistry, the way they were always there for each other! This is a book I will definitely be rereading for years to come. Their first kiss was perfect! 🔥 🔥

The audio was done really well. I enjoyed the narrators a lot.

I can't get over this book. The best enemies to lovers I've read recently, the pranks and banter were too good. Wyatt was a scene stealing unsung hero.
