📖BOOK REVIEW📖:
I’ll start out saying that I’m not a big fan of nonfiction or history, so understand that!🙈
The book is a blend of nonfiction & personal narrative (anecdote/ self narration), which I feel helped when it came to my struggle of slower reading speed & motivation! And the illustrations helped a LOT.📖🎨
I actually enjoyed the personal stories, & feel that with all the info Tabler has on such a small but important state, that he could’ve written two separate books. One series with all the nonfiction/ facts, & the other with his personal experiences and his narration.📚🗺️
Overall, I like how the book is set up, and how there are many illustrations to help it be more engaging and “page turning”!😊
I recommend this one to readers who like:
- Nonfiction
- Books with illustrations
- Fans of history
- History Teachers/ U.S. History Teachers
- Those living in/moving to Delaware
- Those who want to travel there

Note: this is book 3 of the author’s books on Delaware, but you can choose to read them all, or whichever interests you. The book is available on Amazon & at most places that sell books. My review is completely voluntary!😊

This book can be read very quickly as an overview of Delaware's history, or the reader can spend much more time delving into the links (e-book) to more detailed descriptions of and about the background for each photo. I found these descriptions to be the most interesting feature of this book. My preference would be to have the details with the photos and illustrations and a bit more of a narrative leading from one topic to another. However, the information is there if a reader wants to access it. The timeline in this book spans from 1900 up to the near present. I found it interesting reading. There were two previous books, covering earlier times in Delaware. I did not read those.
