St. Louis, Missouri, 1879. A time when the west was already being settled and anything could happen. We are taken on a journey in more ways than one in travel and in emotions.
A man seeking his son and revenge after his wife died over two years ago and he was framed for her murder. Stephen found his son Andy with Kate, the sister of his dead wife and he only thought to feel dislike when they met. Yet something else was trying to come to the surface, Kate was enchanted with Andy until she realized he was Andy's father.
An emotional rollercoaster ensues as the two travel across the country with Stephen trying to convince Kate he needs his son with him. But anything can happen and does as these two spend time together and it's anybody's guess what will happen!
Joan Avery is a new author for me and I really enjoyed this story. Looking forward to reading more by her in the future!

A historical romance that really packed a punch. I loved it! Unique and captivating with a wonderful pace, defined world and lovely characters...couldn’t get enough.
