I don't think there's anything wrong necessarily with this story it just wasn't for me. I had a hard time with the characters and the plot.
Thank you to NetGalley and Forevrr for the gifted ebook.

I’ll Look for You Everywhere by Cameron Capello
Contemporary romance. International setting, European.
A family weeding in a sleepy Italian wedding, reunites Magdalen and Theo after seven years of consciously avoiding each other. Once they both arrive in Italy, they are drawn to each other, unable to resist their feelings for each other.
It’s a beautiful love story in a gorgeous setting. There is a constant push and pull between them, loss, regrets, hope, and so very much hurting. So much angst. I found myself pulling back from getting engaged with this couple because of their fear and drama.
I’d recommend this for readers that love the tears, angst, and the hard work needed for the hea.
I received a copy of this from NetGalley.

This book is not a romance. The person who classified it as such was mistaken, and it was the first step to the ‘disaster’ that this book became.
I enjoyed the plot, but it was slow and long, filled with indecisions, miscommunication, trauma, and family drama.
There is no happy ending, so don’t expect one. However, you will find a fantastic description of Italy (Chivasso and Torino), a lot of unresolved family drama (which remained unresolved), and mental health struggles.
I’m not easily triggered, but I felt there could have been some kind of warning about drug use, abuse, and infidelity.
I listened to the audiobook partially, and the dual narration wasn’t bad, but I enjoyed the ebook experience more.
By the end of the book, the main characters had not developed at all. They both ended the same way they started.
If you’re a fan of reading stories about Italy, then you should definitely read this book.

I wish I would have loved this one more! But it fell flat for me and I just couldn’t connect with the characters and which ultimately led to me not caring much for them or this story.
Don’t let my review dissuade you from giving this one a try! Thank you NetGalley for the early copy!

This is a perfect fit for readers who crave a romantic and adventurous tale of second chances, self-discovery, and the power of true love, set against the picturesque backdrop of a charming Italian village.

I'll Look for You Everywhere by Cameron Capello will have a dedicated reader base, but unfortunately, this is one where the concept did not meet execution for me. In addition to the lack of character development, I have a challenging time with the glorification of toxic behavior. That said, my preference should not dissuade individuals who have been following this author's journey or who are intrigued by the synopsis.
Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for sharing this book with me.

Meh. I didn’t fully love the characters, I didn’t see much of a plot and really it seemed like the book was about hooking up in Italy and not much else

I'll Look for You Everywhere by Cameron Capello was a angsty slow burn debut!
In enjoyed reading this story and found the characters to be intriguing.
I will definitely be keeping an eye out for Capello’s next title.

This was a strange one because Chapter 1-2 almost read like literary fiction. I was enjoying the description of the main female character, and I was enjoying hearing her inner her monologue and the way she was describing her friendships. But then once we got to Italy and we were introduced to the male main point of view it all started to fall apart. It started reading like fanfiction and not in a good way. Unfortunately, this one fell victim to some pretty basic tropes, like the female main character is super shy and also a virgin yet somehow she’s also incredibly forward and flirty with our male main character. He for some reason is can’t act on his feelings of attraction because it’s his best friend‘s little sister (even though there’s only a five year age gap between them and we’re all consenting adults here). That trope is just so overplayed now I can’t empathize with it. I’m not saying that there’s not an audience for this book somewhere out there but it’s unfortunately not me. I felt like there was some serious lack of emotional chemistry between the two of them. It seems like it was purely physical. Our first scene where our main girl gets injured and he spends two hours supposedly cleaning up glass from her back defies logic. He doesn’t take her to the hospital, and no one else seems to notice how badly she got hurt. It just doesn’t make sense. It feels like the author is forcing them together through these dramatic situations and it’s just not working. I was also having issues picturing them spatially like the writing was weird. They would be described as a normal distance away and then suddenly he was at her ear whispering something. I couldn’t picture where they were like in relation to one another, which was confusing and taking me out of the story. I only made 25% into this one because it just doesn’t feel like it has anything new to say or it has anything new to offer this genre (and I love romance) so I really enjoyed the premise but unfortunately the execution is not there for me and it really was not grabbing my attention.

This had a slow start for me but overall a good read. You can definitely feel the attraction and chemistry between the pair. Plus who doesn’t love a brother’s best friend story?!

i found it impossible to connect with the characters or the storyline. the writing and dialogue were really simplistic and juvenile. it actually seems gross for characters to speak like they’re 12 and then start banging. had this not been an ARC, i would have likely marked it DNF after the first few chapters.

I LOVED this book!! Cameron Capello does such a great job weaving an intriguing story that readers will fall in love with like I did!! I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves romance books!!

I love books set in Italy. It’s like taking a vacation from your own couch. The tension between the FMC and MMC had me craving the moment they finally just give into their feelings. I think the “thing that happened when Theo was a child” was predictable but I never would’ve guessed who caused Magdelene’s scars. I was disappointed by the ending, I’m not a fan of open ended endings. But I hope Dante and Anika get their own story so I can continue with these characters.
Thank you to the publisher for this ARC.

Ok let me start off by saying how beautiful the cover is!!! I definitely fell in love!!
I was so excited to spend a summer in Italy and all about enemies to lovers!
Oh goodness… I don’t think I was the best reader for this one. I had a hard time connecting with the main characters. It felt a little all over the place to me and the miscommunication between the two was a mess.
I definitely will be watching out for this author in the future just wasn’t my favorite.
3/5 stars Thanks
Thanks to the publisher!!

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for allowing me to read this ARC in exchange for my review!
Theo and Magdalen's story was captivating from the start. The author portrayed their characters exceptionally well and seamlessly integrated other characters that suited the situations they encountered. The setting of the book was ideal, as was plot.
Theo is Magdalen's brother's best friend that learns of a secret that sends him away for several years. He's back for the wedding of one of his best friend's sister and realizes he has feelings for the other sister. He and her act on their feelings and he knows once he tells her the secret, because it involves someone she cares about, it will end them before they even really get started. The angst in this book is on full force but it keeps the reader wanting to keep reading. I think my only complaint about this book is the way it ended. It felt abrupt and almost a betrayal. Overall, this book is one I will recommend to my friends and book community.

I wasn't feeling this debut. It has been getting great buzz and I understand why with its Colleen Hoover vibes but as a second chance, dual timeline, dual POV romance that deals with heavy family issues, it just somehow didn't work for me. I listened to the audiobook and didn't love the narrators so maybe that contributed to me mediocre feelings but overall this was a skippable read for me. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read an early digital and audio copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.

While reading this story, the author provided the opportunity to travel to another country. I found myself exploring the streets of Italy along with the main characters.
I loved this book and enjoyed the complexity of the characters.
The book begins when the two main characters, Magdalen and Theo, return home from their individual endeavors for the marriage of Magdalen’s sister after being away for a period of time. Although they experienced growth during their time away from home, it was the growth that they experienced together, exploring a relationship and falling in love with one other that is the highlight of the book.
The story that unfolds is not your traditional romance as it is embedded with the complex parental relationships of both Magdalen and Theo, Magdalen has a complicated relationship with her mother while Theo fights his demons regarding his father. But through this struggle, Magdalen and Theo fall in love.
The story concluded with both characters leaving their hometown to resume their respective lives studying. But I love that the story did not have a happy ending. Instead, it ended with both characters moving away from each other, still in love. I am anticipating a part two for Magdalen and Theo.

I found this story to be very absorbing with an underlying tone of melancholy. The writing was magnetic. The start had a lot of anxious yearning and lots of intrigue and mystery that created tension. With all of the angst you forgot that there was a big secret that both characters were holding onto and with the big reveal you can see how much the love interests were connected all along. I liked that they were on opposite ends of the sexual spectrum but were both afraid of intimacy. I was also was delighted by him always seeing her, even when she didn’t want to be seen. I’ll be scourging the internet for a bonus epilogue.

I love an emotional story and this one was perfect and captivating!! It’s very angsty and back and forth drama. Perfect read for fans of the Magnolia Park Series. The atmospheric setting in Italy really was so vivid, I could really picture myself there with their families and experience the various places. It made me want to spend a summer in Italy. I loved the story and the way it unfolded telling us the story of Theo and Magdalen. Two very flawed characters who are working through their own past trauma and secrets. It is such a complex story of family, love, relationships. A perfect slow burn.

Unfortunately, this book is not for me. The hedonism and pretentiousness does not work, especially coupled with the author’s cliche writing voice.
