This story is angsty and atmospheric and very much character centered—not much actually happens (I personally did not mind this) so that is something that people should keep in mind when picking this up.
I really did enjoy the dynamic between Theo and Magdalen, they each had their own reasons for leaving Chivasso and I think this is something that bonded them (trauma bonded). This is a story of best friends brother and it was my first time ever reading a book with that trope so I did enjoy that aspect as well. Given Theo’s reputation—bad boy—and Magdalen—virgin-like—there’s tension built up on why they wouldn’t be the best fit for each other, but the two are more alike than others may realize.
I wish we would have explored Theo’s character a little more. I wish we had a few more moments between Theo and Magdalen that weren’t as angsty and seen them have moments where they simply enjoyed each other’s company.
Although Theo’s traumas are valid, the degrading comments from his father and his mother’s complacency, it still felt like Theo used this trauma to excuse his “bad boy behavior.” I personally couldn’t justify it, but then again I don’t know how I would react were it me in that situation.
As for Magdalen, she needs to leave and never come back, her mother is the worst, and Magdalen deserves the biggest hug in the world.
I am excited to read more of Cameron Capello’s future work. I found her writing immersive and beautiful and I can’t wait to read more!

In retrospect I am thinking “why??”. Why have I requested this book? The blurb didn’t speak to me anymore at all, which carried into my reading experience. I felt confused by the main characters and the way they acted (towards each other). The story couldn’t captivate me anymore and I found myself powering through it, because I did not want to give up. But yeah, this was a bit of a disappointment for me, unfortunately.

I have seen a lot of buzz about this book online, and I will say I found myself riding the hype train for it. This almost always impacts my reading experience with a book, and sadly the impact was more of a negative one this time.
I am never one to shy away from messy characters, messy relationship dynamics, and messy family drama in stories. This book was full of all of the above, keeping the plot interesting and entertaining me throughout. Some of the "mess" felt irrelevant and unnecessary, but overall it lent itself to emphasizing the imperfections of both characters - which definitely felt like the author's intention.
While this book felt overwritten and very overdramatic at times, I am curious to read more from Cameron Capello as her writing and voice matures.

This book had been on my radar for a while so I was exited to get my hands on it here! I love the title so much. Wasn’t sure what to expect from this, and I don’t know that I can really peg how I feel about it. Found the first bit to be too much back and forth between Theo and Magdalen and it kind of exhausted me. The last 50% I found much better and enjoyed a lot more. This was a very uniquely written story and I’m certainly happy with it.
Thank you to Forever (grand central publishing) and Netgalley for the opportunity to read and rate this book!

Ok first off, the writing was just SO beautiful. It helps you get through the MMC's narrative and is so vital to you still ending up loving him and rooting for him throughout the book. I related so heavily to Magdalines FMC storyline, and loved her portrayal and genuine kindness and thoughts through the book. It was romantic, it was spicy and the writing was so good and easy to apply to yourself. LOVED.

Cameron, Thank you for pulling my heart out of my chest and stomping all over it. It’s been an honor.
Ok for real, this book you guys!! Such beautiful writing. A beautiful setting. It is ANGSTY and tension filled and so delicious. There are so many secrets and I absolutely could not guess what was coming. The big reveal scene had my jaw on the floor. And the ending… 😅
Can we please get a little follow up??? My heart. 😭 I’m so in love with “bad boy” Theo and sweet Maggie.
If you want a romance that will make you cry, this is the one for you. It was fantastic.
Thank you @netgalley and @readforeverpub for the arc!

I really needed more from this book. The MCs were very inconsistent between the two POVs. The way they spoke to each other was very blunt and awkward and unrealistic. It felt like a poorly translated foreign soap opera. I was really excited from reading the description, but it just did not deliver.

this one was a long but amazing read. the chapters are fast and alternate. anyone would love this story

This was a great romance novel, it had that element that I was looking for from the description. The overall feel worked with the genre and enjoyed the angst element of this story, The characters had that feel that I wanted and enjoyed the way the characters were in the genre. Cameron Capello has a great writing style and I wanted to read more from the author.

This book would probably be your cup of tea if you like slow burn contemporary romance, secrets, tension, close proximity and brothers best friend tropes, and who did this to you vibes.
A big thank you to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for allowing me to have an ARC for this book in exchange for an honest review.
I loved the vibes in this book, with the slow burn, and being forced into close proximity for the first time in years. The fact that they dealt with traumas and secrets made the book more interesting and believable and kept me captivated from the beginning.

I'll Look for You Everywhere is a drama filled romance with Italy as the backdrop.
This reminded me a lot of After movie a lot. I felt it had very similar things like bad boy/good girl, college aged main characters, a lot of family drama and a romance that is passionate yet has a lot of miscommunication. While I enjoyed the family drama and the setting, I had a hard time getting into the romance. I found the romance completely based on sex and not much beyond that. I did not like Theo at all. He reminded me of a lot Holden from After and I could not stand that character either. He's just a jerk to the heroine and treats her like garbage. I do not find this sexy or romantic.
I just had a hard time getting into this one. The romance just wasn't there for me but if you like family dramas I would recommend this one!

I’ll look for you everywhere is an emotionally charged debut that navigates the complexities of love and family against the backdrop of a small-town wedding. The writing beautifully captures the tension between them, blending heartfelt moments with the weight of long-buried secrets. As they navigate their growing connection amidst wedding preparations, Carpello skillfully reveals the characters’ vulnerabilities, making their journey both poignant and relatable. This is a captivating exploration of love and the courage to face the past, truly a must-read.

Even though I loved the setting of the book, the love story of Theo and Magdalen was hard to read. They both had traumatic experiences in their lives that made it difficult to come together as a couple and maybe partially due to this, he kept hurting her and leaving her. I do believe they loved each other though. I did like how although the ending wasn't what I was expecting (I had to reread the last few chapters a few times because I was shocked), I like to believe that the last couple lines could mean there was hope for their relationship yet.

I was given an ARC of #IllLookForYouEverywhere by #NetGalley. This review does not contain spoilers.
Magdalen “Maggie” Savoy and Theo Sinclair are your modern day Romeo and Juliet. The Savoys and Sinclairs are neighbors and family friends for decades in the small town of Chivasso in Italy and the secrets of both families past carried by Theo and Magdalen sent them running and a wedding forces them to confront the past all summer long. I’ll look for you everywhere is a slow burn romance with the best friend’s brother/sister trope that the truth will hopefully set Magdalen and Theo free.
I did enjoy the story, but felt that there were too many irrelevant side plots and when the truth came out, there wasn’t enough outcry by the FMC and MMC to confront their problems and heal their families and themselves. I will say that the writing of the character traits of Maggie and Theo were a bit wonky at times. I do suggest putting a trigger warning for child abuse.
3/5 stars

This book is full of secrets and facades, so you have no idea what is real and what’s going on, and if there’s an unreliable narrator or not. It was a bit much going on at times so it was hard to figure out what was happening. I think it was okay
Thank you to NetGalley, the publishers, and especially the author for this ARC in exchange for my honest review of the book!!

Great book!! Interesting characters and believable plot. The book was just the right length to tell the story. Would read another book by this author
