I was obsessed with this book, the characters were so rich and the world building and mythology was so elaborate and magical that I have fallen head over heels with it. I am counting down the days until I can read book two and I’ll be recommending this to everyone I know. A very welcome quality read to the romantasy genre which I feel recent reads have been lacking!

Enemies to lovers

Shadow mummy
Say no more. This book had me obssessed from the start and I devoured in a couple of days. I loved the developement of the characters and the story between Enzo and Elara.
It’s fast paced and action packed with O’Leary of drama to keep you guessing throughout.

This has to be one of my favourite books I have read. The writing is perfectly paced, full of excitement and detailed imagery.
Imani has managed to create complex characters told in a beautiful narrative that I have been obsessed with since the first page.
Not only will you not be able to put the book down but it will have you thinking about it throughout your day! I can’t wait for what’s next to come!

This book... I honestly have no words. Heavenly Bodies gave me all the feelings that I want from a 5-star read. From the foot-kicking frustration to the heart-racing excitement and tear-jerking moments, this book truly has it all. It’s one of those stories that grabs hold of you from the very first page and refuses to let go. I couldn’t stop reading, and every chapter left me more emotionally invested than the last. It’s rare to find a book that checks all the boxes of a perfect read, but Heavenly Bodies does it flawlessly.
I was hooked right from the start. The world-building in this book is exceptional, and the magic system is unlike anything I’ve read before. It’s complex and fascinating, with intricate rules and powers that kept me captivated. I loved how the magic was tied to the stars and mythology—those connections were simply amazing. The way the author wove mythology into the narrative added a rich layer to the world, and it made the story feel even more immersive and magical. It felt like something truly original, and I couldn’t get enough of it.
Then there’s the slow burn—wow. The slow burn in Heavenly Bodies is on par with Fourth Wing, and that is absolutely high praise. The tension between the characters is perfect, and the way the relationship builds throughout the book is so well done. Every moment of anticipation is earned, and when the chemistry finally reaches its peak, it’s electric. It’s a slow burn that keeps you turning the pages, desperate for more, and the payoff is beyond satisfying.
But let’s talk about the plot twists... because there are SO many, and I never saw any of them coming. Every twist took me by surprise, and the author’s ability to keep me on my toes was absolutely masterful. There were moments when I literally gasped out loud, unable to believe what had just happened. These twists were cleverly plotted and delivered in such a way that they hit hard every single time. I was constantly on the edge of my seat, wondering what could possibly happen next, and the answers always left me speechless. This is a book that keeps you guessing, and each twist adds more layers to the already rich story.
It’s no surprise at all that Heavenly Bodies has been picked up for traditional publication. This book is pure perfection, and I’m so excited for everyone to finally read it. It’s one of those books that deserves all the attention it’s going to get, and I truly cannot wait for the world to discover it. I’m already looking forward to having a physical copy in my hands because this is a story that deserves to be cherished. It’s an unforgettable ride from start to finish, and I will be recommending it to everyone I know. If you love a story full of magic, mythology, slow-burn romance, and jaw-dropping plot twists, Heavenly Bodies is a must-read. It’s the kind of book that stays with you long after the last page is turned.

Heavenly Bodies as a read, truly lives up to its name.
The author really sets the scene, with such descriptive details, the world building is stunning. Such an immersive experience.
The story itself was slow to start, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t interesting.
The author took time to build not just the setting, but the magic system and the characters as well. So once you have the whole picture, you find yourself completely engrossed in this book.
The characters have a depth and strength to them that draws you in, and the story itself does the rest.
It’s beautiful and engaging and I’d highly recommend this one. Looking forward to more from this author and this world.

"In a world ruled by the Stars, cruel and merciless gods, Elara has been cursed by fate..."
I absolutely adored this book and its unique blend of celestial imagery and mythology. I was a little intimidated by the initial information dump, however I put this to one side and allowed myself to be immersed in the enchanting and broken world Erriu had created.
Heavenly Bodies is everything I look for in a enemies-to-lovers romantasy. Elara and Enzo absolutely loathe one another thanks to a bitter feud between their neighbouring kingdoms, that's led to bloodshed and betrayal on both sides of the divide. I adored watching their reluctant alliance slowly evolve into one of the most passionate and beautifully told romance stories I've ever read. While it does lean heavily into some cliché tropes, they intertwined perfectly with our forbidden lover's destiny.
I found myself audibly gasping at several points as the action-packed story unfolded. The scene at the ballet was absolute perfection, although I did think some parts, such as those with the sirens, felt rushed in comparison to the incessant training sessions.
Erriu also created a strong and charismatic cast of supporting characters which I hope we get to see more of in the sequel, especially the devious trickster God, Eli. I would love to read a prequel which explores the creation of the Stars and their somewhat confusing alliances and relationships with one another. They're such a slippery collection of endearing characters with endless amount of potential.

If you enjoy romantasy, if you enjoy enemies to lovers then YIU NEED to read this!! Absolutely brilliantly written, I loved it and can’t wait for book 2!! It was so engaging, and nothing went as I expected! If you love SJM and Yarros then you really should pick this up!

I have to say, even though this book felt cliché sometimes, it was really fun to read. Plus I love anything related to the zodiac signs and it's something I've never encountered before in books.
I loved the end, was not expecting it at all.
Thank you so much for approving my request!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC.
This is possibly my favourite romantasy read in a while. I wasn't sure at first, as we started off ticking quite a few of the cliches, but Elara and Enza really grew on me as characters and their relationship is allowed room to breathe and blossom in a way that doesn't normally happen in these 'we need to save the world' type epics. The supporting cast was also well-developed and, while there was a twist at the end that felt quite out of the blue, I'm hoping more world-building and information about the Stars will be in the next installment.

This was a great book that has given me everything I wanted from my favourite tropes to a plot twists upon plot twists in the last act to keep me on my toes. The characters arcs were interested and good. The story itself was captivating and the world building was very well done. Thank you for the early copy of this book.

Thank you so much NetGalley for this beautiful ARC. Any book with a prophecy has me locked in from the get go, so it is safe to say, I was invested! The stars, the gods and the fates?! I couldn't put it down! I will definitely be continuing this series!

I personally did not enjoy this book. It is a combination of every trope from every other romantasy book out there. The characters are shallow, and the writing is cringy and very modern at times, taking me out o the story completely. Th only positive I will say is that I got through it quite quickly. Although I did not like it I'm sure someone else will.

I cannot believe I sat on this for so long! This book is on another level, for me it is up there with the ACOTARs and Fourth wings of the romantasy world. I have shouted out loud, cried, binge read in to the night. It was fantastic. The world was so different to everything we've seen lately, it was so well written and paced. The chemistry between the two MCs was insane, like I could gush for hours and hours!

Enemies to reluctant allies to lovers
Slow Burn
Elara and Enzo not only hate each other, but they’re also from enemy kingdoms.
She’s forced to train with him to take down a god bound to her by a prophecy, the two of them slowly get closer and closer and realise they need to work together to kill the god.
The world building, descriptions and aesthetics for this book are divine. I'm excited for the next book.
Perfect for Romantasy Readers!
Thank you Penguin UK, VikingBooksUK and Netgalley for the eARC

Wow just wow! I loved this book so much and I’ve just ordered the Waterstones exclusive because of reading the Arc I was kindly accepted for on NetGalley.
If you love fantasy or YA this book is for you!
So easy to read and follow along with
5 stars for me as it blew me away! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Probably one of my favourite world builds in a while!
The world created is fantastic. The ending, especially, I did not see that layer of the world coming! Excited to see what happens next. The writing does follow a lot of romantasy cliches though, which slowed down my reading at the start, but once I got into it (probably from the 30% mark), I devoured it!
☀️🌙✨☀️🌙✨
Premise:
In a celestial world, ruled by Stars, Elara, the Princess of Darkness, is kidnapped by their neighbouring kingdom, Helios, the Kingdom of Light.
She is given the task of training and working with the Kingdom’s Prince, Enzo, to hone her powers and find a way to kill Ariete, a god to her world and ‘King of the Stars’. The same god she is fated to love and die beside, and who killed her parents.
But as she trains with Enzo, who she loathes at first, she finds herself falling for him, and going against the prophecy trying to tie her to Ariete.
☀️🌙✨☀️🌙✨
The initial enemies to lovers build up (despite being my favourite trope), was a bit overly cliche at the start, but once there was a good level of flirting and trauma sharing, I became quite invested in Enzo and Elara. There were still a few over the top moments later in the book, but overall, it became a rather addictive read.
What I loved:
☀️ Enzo is adorable and loveable and slightly unhinged and hot at times. He has puppy dog energy one moment, and then is threatening to burn everything to the ground for Elara the next. Plus he has a deliciously filthy mouth and flirty attitude that brings a lot of fun to the book. I really loved him!
🌙 The world! I love the celestial kingdoms and how all the gods follow an element of their namesake star signs. And the ending and revelations were just fantastic. Definitely a refreshing fantasy world to step into. And whilst the light and shadow magic is very much something we see a lot, I loved the dream walking and illusion powers that Elara possessed!
✨ Ariete… ok it may be the Aries in me… but hear me out… I get that he’s the villain. And I get that he was an absolute psychopath in the book. But… I… yeah I have no excuses. Ariete is 100% going to end up being my favorite character of the series. He’s unhinged and I feel there’s so much to discover there. I love a book that has me excited to see what the villain does next. Also very intrigued by Eli! He was quiet at the end, but curious where his alliances will fall!
All in all, I will definitely be reading the next book. Curious to see Elara go full vengeance, as I love a bit of feminine rage! Plus I want to see what my favourite Stars get up to next!!

I loved the magic and the world of this book, the writing was beautiful and I was engaged in the story the whole time. Also the pining and the tension between Elara and Enzo, give me more!!! I cannot wait to see where the series goes and this was a book that I thoroughly enjoyed.

As brilliant as the indie version- if not better!! I need the next books asap and I hope the publisher’s pick up the pace for those of us who have been waiting years for book three

Lately I have been a bit dissatisfied with my latest romantasy reads, so I went into Heavenly Bodies a bit wary, afraid that, despite the good reviews I read, this would be another disappointment for me, but I was delighted to find that it hooked me from the very first page. Right from the strong badass heroine, a princess without a kingdom who is taken prisoner from the enemy king to be used as a weapon against the cruel Stars who rule their world. Enter a charming and handsome prince tasked with helping her develop her power and the tension and the banter between these two kept me glued to the pages.
There is also a dooming prophecy, complex magic, a ruthless king and brutal gods, a fantastic cast of side characters, masked balls and sexy dances, and quite a few twists and turns that took me by surprise.
I genuinely liked the two protagonists and how their enemies-to-lovers story develops: smart, loyal, and determined, Elara can walk through dreams and is shadow, while adorable and fearless Lorenzo “Enzo” is light and he would do anything to protect Elara. Both are haunted by the ghosts of their pasts, by their losses and griefs, and I was completely invested in how they find each other and go through them.
I loved everything about this book: the brilliant writing, the incredible world-building, the addictive and riveting story, the wonderful and engaging characters, the slow-burn romance between the star-crossed lovers, and that unexpected ending that left me in absolute need of the sequel. Highly recommended!

Fun and exciting to read. I just wasn't a fan of the pacing which made it difficult to enjoy. So much packed into the story which left many scenes feeling like filler.
