Lynn Painter never disappoints. Izzy and Blake's banter was really cute and had me laughing out loud. I thought Blake overreacted a bit but his character was still super lovable!

this was interesting. i thought it was cute, but it's heavy with banter. it's almost all banter and then a little bit of plot. i enjoyed reading the banter (of course i'm a sucker), but i wanted a little more sustenance.
also, what the hell was that beginning? it was so unnecessary with him being SO mad she lied and took a drink. it was so silly and didn't end up going anywhere for more than a few chapters. i was kind of disappointed they didn't stay frosty to each other for a little longer so that it made more sense.
if you like a lot of banter & no third act break up, this might be up your alley
thank you to netgalley & Berkeley pub for the copy of my ebook!

This was a super cute little romcom with lots of funny banter. If you're anting a feel good read this is definitely one to pick up. It was pretty fast paced and such an easy read.

Grateful to Netgalley for the Arc in exchange for my honest review.
This is a cute romantic story based on first meet cute incident where the FMC Izzy is waiting for her order at Starbucks and the Barista calls for Amy 3 times, but when there is no response, Izzy gets the drink because she was in a rush for her first day at her new job. But she runs into a guy and accidentally drops the coffee on him not knowing he is the VP at her new job. He thinks her name is Amy and she doesn’t correct him. When he finds out about it, he gets very upset which in my opinion was a bit over the top.
While I do like this idea for a cute romance story, this was a bit too Gen-Z coded for me. Like the use of word ‘Gawwwwd’ instantly gave me the ick. You could say it was a me problem but I just couldn’t ignore such elements. FMC was a little cheesy as well as a bit of pick me. I just couldn’t get past her annoying one-liners like “You just had to touch me” instant ick. So I did not enjoy it. I will just leave it at that.

I love the idea of a coffee cup name mix up. I don’t love outright lying in romance, but I like the inner angst it can cause. Do I tell him, when do I tell him, how do I justify it. I loved the characters personalities and banter. It had cheese, but it was expected and still stinkin cute.

Accidentally Amy by Lynn Painter is a delightful romantic comedy full of sharp wit and irresistible charm. The story’s quirky premise and lovable characters make it a fast-paced, feel-good read. Painter’s talent for crafting snappy dialogue and genuine chemistry shines throughout the book. The slow-burn romance is perfectly balanced with humor and heart, creating a story that's hard to put down. It’s a must-read for fans of smart, modern rom-coms.

When Izzy swipes a PSL, karma returns the favour immediately by crashing her into Blake and spilling her stolen coffee. A series of miscommunication leads to several meet-cutes for a pair of individuals who just click... if only they didn't work together.
There is so much witty banter between the characters in this novel. It was a light read that made me laugh out loud.

A meet cute, collision and a lie launch a cozy romance between Izzy and Blake; 2 cat lovers (haters) who are in close proximity via work and are subsequently drawn together despite all the reasons they shouldn’t be… Really clever action sequence that sparks their physical and emotional “will they or won’t they romance. Fresh, cozy, funny and terrific banter makes this read a 5 star.

Silly and cutesy rom com which is such a great palate cleanser! However, some things the FMC did simply were too, cringe?

Did not finish book. Stopped at 13%.
Thank you Berkley for sending me a copy of this book.
I’m trying to read through my backlist and thought a romance filled with banter would be a fun read for me! Unfortunately, I got bored pretty quickly and found myself skimming through the pages. I wasn’t very invested in the characters or their relationship moving forward, so I put this one down.
If you were a fan of this when it was just part of a newsletter you should still give this one a read— you’ll probably love it due to the connection!

This was soo good! This was my first Lynn Painter book, she really can write anything. I love the emotional depth mixed with the sweet moments! total must read.

This book is so lighthearted and easy read, perfect for when you need a break from heavier plots. While the overall storyline follows a fairly typical rom-com trajectory, the strength lies in the interactions between Izzy and Blake and the entertaining secondary characters. If you enjoy workplace romances with plenty of humor, pop culture references, and a touch of spice this book is for you!

I thought this was very good and I will have to add this to the shop shelves. Thank you for the chance for us to review.

I couldn't get through this book fast enough. It was warm and swoony and I couldn't get enough! I wanted to hurry through this book but in the same breath I wanted to take it slow to make the story last longer. Blake and Iz FOREVER! This story is everything!

I thought the premise of Accidentally Amy was cute in that Izzy is running late to work on her first day of a new job, so she takes someone else's PSL. She spills it on another patron who turns out to be her boss, Blake. I have enjoyed some of Lynn Painter's other books so I thought I'd like this one. Unfortunately our heroine has a major case of "not like other girls" syndrome which is a real turn off for me. The writing was quite cringy as well. "Omigawddd", "Mr. Chest", etc. For a YA romance that'd be more typical, but for an adult romance I do expect the bar to be a bit higher.

Brilliant re-write. Everything I loved from the indie version was still here, and all the things I wished the indie was are here too!! This story is so fun. It's the book equivalent of a PSL and just as sweet.

This was a quick read, and it was very romance-forward. It felt light on the plot, which makes sense with it originally being released as a serial. The relationship carried this book through, but not a lot else happened. I loved the cats (there’s not enough cats in romance novels!) and Izzy and Blake were mostly sweet together, other than the few super cringey scenes at the beginning where they were at work and he was her boss. Spice level here was high.
Thank you to the publisher - I received a complimentary eARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Lynn knows how to write fun rom coms, I breezed through this quickly and enjoyed the ride. I will say this wasn’t her most memorable work, but it was still quite fun and I loved how the main pairing worked.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Izzy and Blake. They meet at a coffee shop one morning. Izzy picks up somebody else coffee because she is in a hurry. She runs into Blake and spills her coffee. Blake thinks her name is Amy after Izzy picks up Amy’s coffee. Izzy has a new job, it just happens to be where Blake works. They each have issues but together they work them out and fall in love.

This was a sweet book. Being in a hurry to get to work, Izzy grabs the coffee meant for "Amy". She bumps into a guy who and spills her coffee all over him. Obviously he thinks her name is Amy. Obviously sparks fly, and we have our meet cute. Unknowing to Izzy, Blake, turns out to be her new boss.
I enjoyed reading about the progression of their "friendship". It was an easy book to read and left me satisfied.
