Even my daily anxiety meds cannot totally assuage the constant pit in my stomach full of fear of doing something wrong, it’s just a part of who I am. I am learning to live with it and that part of me totally vibed with Lynn Painter’s FMC, Izzy, who is so terrified of being late for her first day of work that she grabs an unclaimed PSL that was her same order just for try to get out the door to make it to work on time. Painter’s writing is comical and lighthearted enough that the part of me that cringes at unease was able to read on to root for Izzy, whose true identity is sussed out by that handsome man at Starbucks. Blake just happens to be her no-nonsense VP at the new job where there are definite rules against commingling. Call it fate or kismet, but some force keeps drawing them together, challenging both of their strong need to keep boundaries and follow all regulations laid out for them. Accidentally Amy was an beautifully endearing read about taking on the surprises that come our way in life and embracing the universes’s plan for us.
Review is on Goodreads and will be posted on instagram closer to publication date and on Amazon when published!

Ok if you were to tell me that Accidentally Amy is actually meta-commentary on the romance industry as a whole I would totally give this book 5 stars and it would be an all-time favorite. Like, the writing here is so over-indulgent, so corny, so "we have no problems we just fall in love" that to me it honestly goes past being annoying into something actually enjoyable.
The "conflict" of this book with the fake name gets resolved in the first like 40 pages and then the rest of the time it's just two annoying people in love. And the FMC Izzy was so "yeah I'm quirky I only eat fast food and pizza" that I actually almost found it endearing? Like yeah wouldn't it be great if we could all be our annoying unhealthy selves and the person we are with finds it inextricably hot like yeah what a dream.
I think this book takes a lot of wish fulfillment you get in romance and just multiples it by 50.
Make a mistake in front of your boss's boss? BOOM doesn't matter he's insta in love with you.
Car broken down? BOOM your man is a mechanic as a hobby.
Want a man with emotional depth? BOOM he has two cats and had a good relationship with his deceased mom.
I can't help but say I was a wee bit charmed by the banter and the absurdity and the awkward and the wish fulfillment and like I said if Lynn Painter did an interview right now that said this was a parody of a romance novel I'd literally add this to my favorites list but alas it was in earnest.

This book was absolutely amazing. This was actually my very first book by this author, and I was very pleasantly surprised! It was so cute!

Accidentally Amy by Lynn Painter is a rom-com that begins with a serendipitous coffee mix up and evolves into a charming story of unexpected romance. Isabella Shay, in a rush on her first day at a new job, takes a pumpkin spice latte meant for Amy, only to spill it on the impeccably dressed Blake Phillips, leading to a hilariously awkward and flirtatious encounter. When she discovers Blake is her new VP, the office dynamic gets complicated as initial misunderstandings give way to undeniable chemistry. The author’s engaging writing, witty dialogue, and relatable characters make this book a heartwarming and entertaining read!

lynn painter never disappoints. another banger after better than the movies!
thankyou netgalley for the arc. all opinions are my own!

Accidentally Amy is as delightful as it sounds! The chemistry between the main characters is electric, and their relationship unfolds with engaging dialogues that are both fun and witty. The secondary characters add extra flair, bringing humor and heart to the story. This book is a joy from start to finish, with a perfect blend of romance and laughter that will keep you hooked.

I feel like I should mention I’m a Lynn Painter fan. Her romcoms are always super easy to read and leave you feeling good.
However, Accidentally Amy was not my favorite by her. Don’t get me wrong the book started out promising but then we got to the last 35% of the book and it started going downhill from there. For me, Accidentally Amy didn’t have much in terms of a plot and our two lead characters didn’t have much personality for me to relate to them. The sole reason I’m giving this book a 3 out of 5 stars is for the Sky-lift scene. That had me smiling and giggling. I immediately thought to myself there’s the Lynn Painter I know and love.
Overall, If you are just starting off with Lynn Painters books don’t start here. Pick up Just Like the Movies or Happily Never After. But if you are a Lynn Painter fan I say still give this book a chance.
Thank you so much to NetGalley & Berkley Publishing for allowing me to read and review this book in exchange for my honest review!

I never got around to reading the original version of Accidentally Amy by Lynn Painter, but the pure joy that this new version of the book brought me is absolutely insane. This book feels like a true, classic romcom and I couldn't love it more. Lynn has a way of captivating her audience. I laugh and swoon like no other when reading Lynn's books. I'm obsessed!!!
Thank you so so much to Berkley Publishing Group and NetGalley for the arc! i loved having the opportunity to read and review this one <3

This is the second book I’ve read by Lynn Painter and I enjoyed it as a quick read. I liked the banter and actually found myself smiling like a goof or laughing at my screen a few times.
It’s contemporary M/F and it all starts when the FMC, in a hurry at Starbucks, pretends to be Amy to take the same coffee she ordered.
Anyways it’s not perfect and sometimes feels a little too manic dream girl but Lynn Painter does dialogue so well.
I thought this plot was going to be expected but a couple chapters in I was surprised. A funny quick read.

I first read this over a year and a half ago, and I was pleased to see that the story is being rereleased with bonus content. This is a fun, lighthearted read, as I’d expect from Lynn Painter.
The main character, Izzy, is running late for her first day of work. When someone named “Amy” fails to claim her coffee, Izzy takes it and then crashes right into a man, spilling coffee on it. Izzy’s one bad choice spirals, and of course the man happens to work in her new office and believes her name is Amy. Overall, it's a solid romcom.

Lynn Painter continues to write beautiful, relatable and humorous stories! I’m not usually one for workplace romances but the chemistry between the characters definitely pulled me in. I cannot wait to recommend this to our readers!
Thanks NetGalley and Berkley for the eARC in exchange for my honest review!

I loved this book! It had me laughing out loud and feeling so curious about what the characters would come up with in any place they visited. Their adventures and interactions were both amusing and engaging, keeping me hooked from start to finish.
I adored how they met and how their relationship developed over time. The progression from friends to lovers was beautifully written and felt incredibly natural. Their chemistry was undeniable, and I found myself rooting for them with every turn of the page.
The story made me feel like I was 20-something again, when everything still seemed so simple. The nostalgia and the relatable moments brought back memories of a time when life was less complicated and more spontaneous.
For me, this was a perfect friends-to-lovers, workplace romance. The blend of humor, romance, and heartfelt moments created a delightful and memorable read.

I love the new Dual POV and the updates to this book. I read the first one and it was good but didn't feel as genuine as this version does. Thanks for letting me read this book I love everything she writes and this one is no exception.

lynn painter is very quickly becoming a new favorite/comfort read author of mine!!
i have the absolute best time when im reading her books and i cant help but binge the absolute hell out of them. she is my favorite kind of cheesy and reading her books feel like a warm hug from your favorite person 🥰
this book was absolutely adorable from start to finish, i feel like it isnt often anymore that we get MMCs who are just insanely obsessed from the start, they always want to play it cool and are grumps which i love but it just absolutely hits different when the two are obsessed right away the entire time
i truthfully could have read like 100-200 more pages of these goofs just doing what they do best - being goofs.
i already cannot wait to read more of lynn’s books, thank you berkley for letting me get my hands on this rerelease early 💜

This book was much more interesting than I expected it to be! I was falling so hard for the romance between the main characters, and the chemistry was everything to me.

This book made me feel…..giddy. I was smiling like a psychopath the entire time. Izzy and Blake had a meet cute at a Starbucks and from there it just became such a sweet romance. They can’t date because Blake is her boss, so they become friends. Although, their attraction to each other doesn’t dissipate. I loved their chemistry. This was my first Lynn Painter book and if this is the way she writes, I want to read her entire backlist. This book made me incredibly happy.

This was such a cute fall feeling book. I loved the chemistry. Lynn painter can do no wrong.
Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for this ARC. All opinions are my own
