Sampler was good. I really enjoyed these stories by Eliza Clark. I’ve been following her running care this entire time so if you like body horror, you’re going to love this.

I received a sampler from Eliza Clark’s debut collection She's Always Hungry. The story provided is called The Shadow Over Little Chitaly. This was a really entertaining read.

It is told through a series of reviews. We start to get a sense that something isn't quite right with this food joint called Little Chitaly right away.

People are ordering from all over the place geographically and yet the food is delivered in as few as ten minutes. The food is delivered by a person in a motorcycle helmet driving in a car.

The menu seems to be different for whoever is looking at it at the time. The ingredients are slightly off, some are substituted unexpectedly, other times it's a mystery what you've actually received.

When you call to get a refund, nobody answers. Sometimes you get a refund before you even reach out.

The reviews eventually reference each other and it's pretty funny. Something is definitely off about this place and you're going to want to learn more. Don't worry, one of the reviewers left their insta handle, if you have any information or want to learn more follow @hanna_special_pizza

Really enjoyed this one and can't wait for the collection to be published. It's already on order and on hold from my library.

A deliciously weird sample story from Ms Clark's new book, highlighting so many things to do with fast food, delivery drivers and the need to assuage hunger.
If only there were pictures to illustrate the increasingly bizarre pizza fusions!

My snippet only included one story from this collection, a strange, escalating series of pizza shop reviews; but I really enjoyed it! Eliza Clark is a brilliant author and I'll follow her wherever she goes

As this was only a sampler I can’t say too much but from the little bit I did read I’ve a feeling I’ll really enjoy this. Very funny and great writing.

I loved reading this sampler and it's definitely got me hungry to read the full version, I cannot wait.

Brief but brilliant on so many levels. I was laughing (and empathising with the reviewers) all the way through this short story. But the abrupt end, I must confess, give me a bit of the shivers.
Touching on our obsession With instant gratification, Internet, conspiracies, fusion food, and the cult of food, peculiarity, (I was literally crying at the vegan option!) this story is short, but perfectly formed.
Cannot wait for the book to devour the rest.

I adored this sampler, actually had me laughing out loud whilst reading and had to explain it to my husband. Some of the humour really tickled me, ‘ ‘salted crackers and fried prawns’ can’t wait to attend the book tour and read the full book!

I love Eliza Clark and have read her other works. This story is dark with lots of humour in the same way as her previous novels.

This short sampler was a great taster for Eliza Clark's new short story collection. Even this short snippet was full of intrigue, an element I've loved about Eliza's previous novels. I can't wait to pick this one up!

I loved Penance so was looking forward to reading this She's Always Hungry (sampler).

Unfortunately the document has disappeared from my Kindle prior to the publication so I have been unable to read it.

I'm not disappointed with this sampler. I'm not a short story gal myself. I have read a few but never felt blown over by them by I am excited to try this one

The story I read was absolute madness! I don’t know how I feel about a takeaway being half Chinese and half Italian but also being Australian. The reviews made me cry out laughing.
