Thank you to NetGalley and Zeitgeist for this ARC! Lana Barnes' "True Crime Trivia & Activity Book" is an engaging and unique compilation for fans of the true crime genre. With over 250 trivia questions and a wide variety of puzzles including crosswords, cryptograms, and word searches, this book offers both entertainment and education. The trivia and activities cover a broad range of topics, from serial killers to art heists, and aim to respect the subjects by avoiding sensationalism. It's a perfect gift for anyone interested in true crime, providing hours of intriguing and thought-provoking challenges.

I. Am. Obsessed! If only I could print this out as a pdf and actually complete this! I can't wait for it to come out, I am certainly going to be buying it! I l feel like there is a true niche for this kind of stuff, in a world where everyone wants true crime!

True Crime Trivia & Activity Book delivers on its premise: a fun book of different puzzles varying in difficulty surrounding the subject of true crime. I enjoyed how the puzzles were organized in the book; they were interspersed throughout the pages rather than grouped by puzzle type.
This is a fun book for when you're in the mood to puzzle, roadtripping, or on a plane. Highly recommend to those who are interested in true crime and feeling the thrill of solving puzzles and problems!
Thank you to NetGalley for a copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is a fun book.
The title is self explanatory. Great book to do on your own or have friends help you.
Love the cover and the details inside.
I recommend having this as a go to book when waiting for appointments and lunch break.

I absolutely intend to purchase this activity book when it releases. I loved all the puzzles and trivia questions. This would make for a fun game-night option. I would also make the perfect gift for a true-crime enthusiasts.

This is so cool, combing true crime and puzzles! I enjoyed this a lot. Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for a copy.

Everyone that knows me, will say that I have an obsession with true crime videos and podcasts, which means that this is something that i would 100% love. And lets just say, it lived up to my expectations.
The book includes over 250+ puzzles, some of which are themed around different true cases, such as a wordsearch about the Chicago tylenol case. The puzzles being themed around specific cases, and not just mystery as a whole scratched a particular part of my brain. There is a good variety of puzzles such as trivia questions, wordsearch, sudoku, magic squares and the like. If you love true crime and puzzles, i would highly recommend buying this when it comes out September 10th.
Thank you so much to Netgalley and Zeitgeist for giving me a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you NetGalley for this arc!
I love the concept of these books, however it’s better done as a paperback (crosswords and whatnot.)
I had a fantastic time doing the activities I could!

The "True Crime Trivia & Activity Book" offers a fascinating mix of games and intriguing facts that make for an entertaining read. While it’s not groundbreaking, it does provide a pleasant diversion for true crime enthusiasts. The variety of activities keeps things engaging, and it’s a solid choice for fans of the genre or as a way to pass the time during a flight. Overall, it's a worthwhile pick if you're looking for a fun, crime-themed activity book.

I am a crime junky; this was the perfect book for me!
I enjoyed the diversity and difficulty level of the puzzles. There were plenty of different activities included. Crosswords, cryptograms, word searches, logic puzzles, maxes, spot-the-difference, sudoku, Decoding, word scramble, Futoshiki, Knowledge tests, Kakuro, just to name a few. Some of these were definitely easier than others, and there were several games in here that I had never played before.
If you are a fan of puzzles and true crime this is the perfect book for you.
Thank you Zeitgeist and NetGalley for this book. This is my honest review.

The layout of this book was very nice and the quizzes was fun. I would have needed to print it out to solve the other puzzles but they looked like a great time. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was so much fun! Solving puzzles and learning some true crime trivia along the way. Really cool concept.

i wasn’t expecting to love this one but it was such a fun activity book. i’m a sucker for solving sudoku so i’m biased but the quiz and cryptogram were so cool !!! highly recommend to the people that love doing nyt games !!!

This was really fun! As an avid NYT Games daily-doer, I love a little activity to get my brain going and to help me pull away from day-to-day stressors. I also love any excuse for something I can do away from my phone. :)

I loved this idea! It is very engaging. It has sudoku, crosswords, questions and so many more puzzles. It has solving puzzles and true crime, both are my absolute favorite. I cannot wait to try it out.
Thank you to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for this e-ARC.

I was expecting more of a mix between true crime information and activities. There are quizzes and puzzles themed after crimes (some more famous than others), but just the answer keys in the back of the book. I was expecting a quiz followed by more details regarding the crimes the questions were regarding. For puzzles, I was expecting information about the crime followed by a puzzle. It was a bit off putting to see a casual word search about the Tylenol murders and I'm someone who has to look at crime scene photos as part of my job.

This was a very fun and interesting puzzle book. I will definitely be purchasing this for the library for our true crime book club.

This collection of true crime puzzles is amazing!! There is a great collection of different types of puzzles, too. Little quizzes to test your knowledge, sudoku, acrostics, and so many more different types of puzzles.
The layout is fun with little elements of true crime stains - such as coffee cup stains. This will also introduce you to some true crime cases you may not have heard of.
I'll definitely be picking this one up for my personal use.

If you're a casual fan of true crime, if you watch the Dateline 24/7 channel 24/7, if the murder podcasts, fill your commute, then this is a must-have book for you!
If, like me, you are a teacher, you definitely want this for a classroom resource. It has activities for critical thinking where students could look for differences in call logs like real detectives would. You can check for a crime scene that has been tampered with. These are great for critical thinking and give students a meaningful avenue for focus and attention to detail. It contains puzzles with different histories of crime and even sudukus. You will want to check with copyright compliance depending on how you choose to make the material available, but there are many great ideas on how one could engage students. I have had so much fun completing the activities myself and thinking of ways to incorporate this information into the classroom.
