This book was amazing! i was constantly on the edge of my chair wondering what was going to happen next. I would read this again and again. I was so sad when i finished it

Freida McFadden’s The Crash is a gripping psychological thriller filled with suspense and shocking twists. When Tegan, eight months pregnant, crashes her car during a blizzard, she’s rescued by a seemingly kind couple in rural Maine. But what starts as a safe haven turns into a nightmare as Tegan realizes she and her unborn child are in grave danger.
With echoes of Misery, the story delivers claustrophobic tension, fast pacing, and relentless suspense. Tegan’s fight for survival keeps readers hooked until the shocking conclusion. The Crash is a must-read for fans of intense and twisty thrillers.

This book has made its way to my top five Freida books! This book definitely has some triggering topics in it, but they were handled very well. I can appreciate that Freida doesn't shy away from the hard topics but embraces that life isn't always sunshine and rainbows. She also embraces that there is so many different sides to be people and you just never know, even if you think you do!

OMG I could not put this book down once I started! It was so entertaining and a little bit different than her other thrillers which was a fun twist. Surprising, I had all of the twists and turns predicted up until the last two. OMG I was not expecting it to end the way it did. Thank you sooo much Freida for making me stay up way too late last night devouring this book! No regrets!! :))

3.5 stars
I received an ARC of The Crash. It was a quick and easy read, I enjoyed it for the most part. It didn't have the same feel as her other books though, no *I will never guess who did it* in this book. There were a few twists, but this one fell flat for me. Not the best book, not the worst.

I'm super grateful I got the opportunity to read an ARC copy of this book. As usual Freida did not dissapoint and kept me hooked from beginning to end, excellent book!

This was a thrilling mystery and led up to an unexpected conclusion. I liked the way Frieda slowly increased the suspense, finally reaching an explosive conclusion.

The Crash by Freida McFadden will be a popular one among her McFans. While it does not have has many 180 degree twists as some of her previous books, the suspense builds with each page you turn.

I’m so grateful I was given the opportunity to receive this book as an ARC. This one is definitely different style than what Freida normally writes. I thought this one didn’t have as many twists as turns as she usually puts in. The twists at the end were good though and surprising. I thought the ending was a refreshing change too. It was a solid story that captivates from the very beginning. Very easy read and I devoured it within 24 hours. Each character took me through a different emotion throughout the book, but I love when book characters make me feel real emotions like they are real people, that to me shows the talent of the author and success of the represented story.
I saw some reviews about the book being repetitive and I think that was just because she gave us angles of the story from different character perspectives which seemed repetitive at times but it really was to tie the story together which is exactly what Freida does in all the books. There were a few parts towards 40-60% in that I wanted something crazy drastic to happen and when I didn’t that small portion just felt a little dragged out and anticlimactic. I think people will be hard on Freida for this one because it’s different but I did enjoy it and would recommend it. It’s a solid story!

I really enjoyed this book. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I did not see the twists coming and liked the way it ended. This book felt different than other Freida books. But still enjoyable. I did think the references to Tegan being pregnant was a lot. Thank you to Netgalley and Poisoned Pen Press for the advanced copy!

Thank you to the team for allowing me to be part of the arc readers for this book.
Freida did it again. I was shocked by the ended and didn't see it coming. I loved seeing the character deceleopment of a few of the characters in the book and how they were at the end. It seemed to be a little repetitive in parts of the book but nothing horrible. Main characters were done so so well and the way it was laid out really kept you guessing. Overall I really enjoyed this book and was happy with how it ended!

Down on her luck, broke, and eight months pregnant, Tegan heads to her brother’s home for some relaxation and TLC before giving birth. Her plan is to make it there before the blizzard hits, but a miscalculation in timing has her driving in the worst of it. And then there’s the car crash. Tegan fears for her life and that of her unborn baby as she’s trapped in her car in the middle of nowhere. When a couple rescues her and promises to get her to a hospital as soon as the roads clear, Tegan thinks she’s been saved. But, the nightmare has just begun.
Freida McFadden has relied on chapter cliffhangers and plot twists in her previous books to drive the story - and it works. In “The Crash,” however, there is still that jaw-dropping plot twist, but this book is driven by exceptional suspense writing that keeps you turning the pages not to see what the next twist is, but because you’re completely invested in Tegan’s story. McFadden’s writing is on another level with “The Crash.” Part locked-room suspense, part domestic drama, part mystery, this book is a winner! I can’t wait for release day so everyone has a chance to read it!
Thanks so much for the chance to read in advance! This was a great early Christmas present!

This book felt like a traditional story of a woman in an unfortunate situation and I liked it. Some parts felt repetitive but the preface and epilogue made me love this so much more. The plot twist within the book was wild but the epilogue had the ultimate mic drop.

Wow I had high expectations for this as frieda mcfadden always smashes it out the park, and it did not disappoint. Absolutely incredible, I literally did not put it down and completed it in just over 3 hours.

Well, this was a wild ride. We have some fantastic pov chapters that pit us into the minds of our main girl, Tegan, and her opposite Polly. Their relationship is not what it seems to be, and Tegan spends most of the story fighting for her life and that of her unborn daughter.
I enjoyed the multiple pov and the book being broken down into parts based on the day. Lots of twists and turns kept me fully entertained.

As always Frieda does it again. This is my eighth book of hers I’ve read this year. One of my favorite authors absolutely amazing. This one I don’t think was as twisty as others. There were something I saw coming but there were a few details that I wasn’t expecting. I’m so glad I was given the opportunity to review this book

Thanks to Poisoned Pen Press & NetGalley for providing a digital ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Honestly, I do not get the hype around Freida McFadden, and this book just makes me more confused about it. It actually makes me long for books like The Coworker, which I read with disgust but at least it had a good twist and some comeuppance for the shitty characters. This one is just Misery with pregnancy and an accomplice.
OF COURSE, there's a blizzard. OF COURSE, Teagan is heavily pregnant. And poor. OF COURSE there's a huge misunderstanding about who is actually dangerous once she finds herself in Hank and Polly's basement.
FMC Teagan is TSTL in many ways, so much so that it's impossible to relate to her and difficult to root for her. Can't say I agreed with Polly for judging her without knowing her backstory, BUT Teagan seemed very eager to put herself in harm's way with her pregnancy (perhaps because she's so young? who knows). Hard to root for any of these idiots. really. Only redeeming character is the little girl (who exists as a prop to tie up the ending and for no other reason), with Hank being the runner up. Best things I can say is it's an easy read - like 5th grade level writing.
I gotta stop hate-reading these lol. I keep hoping one will surprise me and be great, but am continually disappointed.

WOW!!! I had an opportunity to read in advance of the release date in exchange for a review. Genuinely loved this plot line, and did not see the twist coming at all. It’s my favorite Frieda book! The characters were well developed and the plot kept me turning the pages in anticipation of what was coming next.
I feel like there are so many paths that Frieda could have taken with the ending, but I cannot love the one she picked enough!! Truly my favorite and I cannot wait for the book to be available so that my co-workers can read it! I need someone to talk to about the twists and turns she chose! 10/10 would recommend!

I was very lucky to receive an arc copy of this book. Once again Freida smashed it! This book had me gripped from the very start and I found myself not wanting to put it down! I did see a couple of twists coming but I could never have guessed some of them! Freida's books always keep me guessing right until the very end! Absolutely loved this book

This book had me gripped from the onset. Tegan is imagining life as a single mother with her first child due shortly. After she gets into a car accident in the snow, it’s hard to tell if her good samaritans who have taken her in want to help, or harm her.
Like with all Frieda McFadden books this had me guessing (albeit incorrectly!) throughout and had the perfect amount of twists to keep me going.
