Tegan is 8 months pregnant & struggling to make ends meet. The father of the baby offers her a large sum of money for her to keep quiet after she finds out he’s married, but she refuses for reasons that she only remembers when she comes face to face with him again. In order to get away from everything for a little while, she decides to go visit her brother. Little does she know, she’s driving into a blizzard & ends up crashing her car. A man comes to her rescue & ends up taking her to his house where his wife, a nurse, takes care of her. But is everything really as it seems?

Freida McFadden has become one of my favorite authors & at this point I will read anything she writes without even reading the synopsis, so I went into this book completely blind & I’m so glad I did. It’s an addicting, locked door style thriller that will keep you guessing. In true Freida fashion, this book had many twists & turns that I did not see coming. However, this didn’t feel like a typical Freida book, but I mean that in the best way possible. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get into the thriller genre. It has easily become one of my top favorite Freida books.

Thank you to Poisoned Pen Press & NetGalley for the ARC.

4.5 stars!!!! This is now one of my favorite Frieda books (second only to the Housemaid!). It had multiple twists weaved throughout and was just really well done! Perfect amount of suspense and truly never knew what was going to happen.

Want to give a huge shout out to Mandy, Poisoned Pess, Netgalley, and, of course, Author Freida McFadden!

This! Before reading, if you have triggers, please check before reading.

I was lucky enough to receive an arc reading, and this DID NOT disappoint! A quick read with the edge of your seat and locked room suspense had me hooked. The twists.. ...OMG

Of course, "I had it figured out.... " and I'm sure you will too..... but will be wrong like I was. I didn't see it coming.

Don't miss out this coming January! This was one of my top Freida McFadden books I have read!

Freida has done it again!

Tegan is 8 months pregnant and in a sticky situation, and there are only a small number of people she can depend on. Just when things are starting to fall into place, tragedy strikes... Thankfully a good Samaritan comes along, and help is always a good thing, right?
As Tegan's "circle" expands and constricts, you'll be right along with her wondering who to trust.

In true Freida fashion, she leaves you guessing right up to the very end. You're never quite sure where you are going to end up by the epilogue of a FM book, and The Crash does not disappoint. I didn't even bother trying to figure out; I was just along for the ride--and what a ride it was!

Freida did it again! Another 5 star read for me. I love a good suspenseful book with multiple twists that you don’t see coming. I could not put this down and absolutely loved this book from beginning to end!

Wow. Freida does it again! I don’t believe I will ever be able to predict one of her books. The Crash sucked me in from the very beginning and it was the true definition of a thriller. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I never knew what was going to happen next. Highly recommend! Thank you so much to Freida, Mandy at Sourcebooks and Poisoned Pen Press for the opportunity to read this amazing book early!

Thank you to NetGalley, Mandy Chahal & Poisoned Pen Press for this ARC! I love Freida’s books they’re usually quick reads for me and this one was no exception. I was able to read this in 3 days! I love how the book keeps you guessing on what’s going to happen next and who’s the bad guy. I did not expect the twist and I was more than satisfied with the ending!

Tegan, pregnant, gets into a car accident during a snowstorm, breaking an ankle in the process. She is aided by a foreboding man and his wife who promise to take her to the hospital in the morning. Things are not as they seem with this couple and Tegan fears her unborn child and herself are not actually safe. This book is a gut-wrenching, sitting on the edge of my seat, shirk all responsibilities type of book. I read it in one sitting! Thank you to Poisoned Pen Press and Net Galley for the advanced copy.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publishing team for allowing me to read this early in exchange for free feedback. Wow, I read this in 2 sittings only because I had to sleep! I’ve read almost all of Freida’s books now and they are all so addictive! I didn’t trust any of these characters & didn’t guess the twist, very typical for a Freida book.

Well Freida has done it again, no surprise there!!!

I absolutely love the MC Tegan. She is a feisty young woman. The twists in this one are not as big as normal it's not a wait until the last chapter to figure it out. You know the deal when you get about halfway through you just don't know how it's going to play out which made me enough this one more than her twist books!

Hank was also a great character reminds me of my husband! The one major twist I didn't see was definitely not one I think many will get at all. Overall great book!!!!

Thank you so very much for allowing me to read this book as an ARC! I’m so very grateful for the opportunity. I devoured this book.
A pregnant Tegan finds herself stuck in a blizzard after she crashes her car. With a broken ankle and being 8 months pregnant how will she survive? When a man comes to her rescue and takes her back to his house, she finds that maybe staying in the crashed car in the snow storm may have been a better idea. Will she be able to survive to save herself and her unborn baby?? You will have to read this book to find out what happens!!

I received an ARC copy of this book from NetGalley and Poised Pen Press. As always just when you think you have it all figured out Frieda throws you a curveball! I finished this book in one sitting. If you are looking for an author that can get you out of a reading slump and will keep you on the edge of your seat Frieda McFadden does just that with all of her books! Definitely a 5 star read for me!

The Crash gave me "Misery" vibes when reading it but less intense. This book seemed to be a little softer than her past work. The plot was easy to follow and the story was not complex. I rounded it up to 4 stars. I enjoy reading Frieda McFadden's work and I especially love the twists that usually hit you at the end.
Thanks goes to the publisher for an ARC through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for providing this book, with my honest review below.

I was intrigued by the blurb for The Crash and it delivers a lot more action than I imagined - which is to say I really enjoyed how mysterious it was going in and the Russian doll of mysteries it revealed.

Tegan is 8 months pregnant and struggling, but that’s about to change due to a settlement from her baby’s father (who would like to not reveal to his current family that he had impregnated her). When that goes upside down Tegan retreats to her brother to regroup only to get into a horrific car accident. She’s rescued by a gruff man named Hank who takes her back to his home to wait out the storm and receive care from his wife, ex nurse Polly. From there Tegan, who isn’t well, starts to face a bigger nightmare than she has to this point (which is impressive, given her luck). Is it Tegan’s paranoia? Is Hank purposely trying to prevent her from reaching her destination (or a hospital)? And does her baby daddy play a part?

These questions are answered as you read the book but a whole new host of suspenseful events are in play that make this a delicious thriller read. There’s also a bit of an additional act that took me by surprise but gave this story an extra something. Pick this up, as per usual Freida McFadden does a phenomenal job using her medical background to right inventive thrillers, and this another success.

I love this author, but this wasn't one of my favorites from her. It was easy to read, and follow. The plot line wasn't very enticing though.

Thank you netgalley for the prerelease ebook.

The Crash by Freida McFadden was another solid, twisty thriller from this prolific author. Our main character, Tegan, is eight months pregnant and down on her luck when she sets out on a drive to visit her brother. A snowstorm hits hard, and when she crashes her car, her trouble is just beginning. When she is rescued by a burly stranger, the help she receives from Hank and Polly is not what she imagined.

This book reminded me of the author's other books in that the good and bad characters are not so easily identified. I appreciate how she deliberately leads the reader down the wrong path and then drops surprises along the way. I've come to expect more reveals even after the main plot is resolved, and this one does not disappoint in that regard. I will say that a large part of the plot in the middle of the book seemed a bit repetitive before it took off to the wild finish.

I will recommend this to readers who like psychological thrillers with twists and turns.

Thanks to Poisoned Pen Press and NetGalley for the digital ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Tegan is 8 months pregnant when she is in a car accident during a snow storm. She is rescued by a passerby... but begins to realize she is in danger. If you think you know what's going to happen, think again!

I generally enjoy Freida McFadden's books. However, The Crash disappointed me. It starts out interesting but devolves once the crash happens. With a plot that at times resembles Stephen King's Misery, I felt frustrated by the length of the encounter with the folks who "save" her. There iare a few surprise twists that I did enjoy.
I found myself skimming through a great bit of the book.
The ending is implausible, albeit the way one wants a book to wind up. It left me conflicted and the book left me looking forward to the author's next book since she usually hits it out of the park.

Frieda McFadden's books are often a hit or miss for me. This particular book felt like a bizarre fever dream at times, with little suspense and an unsatisfying ending. It started off promising, but the plot twist was far-fetched and the story didn’t improve from there. The ending was also mediocre. I do like that her books are often fast pace and are easy to read but this book was a bit of a disappointment.

Thank you to NetGallery for my copy.
