Anna is living her life as a cleaning woman. Helping to raise her sister while still living with her mom. Together they are making ends meet, barely. While cleaning at the Barone estate, she comes across the most beautiful necklace. Suddenly, she is wrapped up in this new world, wishing she was married
to Max Barone. And when she wakes up the next day as Max's wife, she can't wrap her head around the situation at hand. How did she become Max's wife and how did he fall so hard for her? Should she tell him how this all happened? A silly wish on a necklace?
Sarah Ready is my new favorite author! I love her writing style! She creates the best characters and stories. Her love scenes are on fire! So very spicy!! The settings she writes into her stories make you feel like you are right there with the characters. I enjoy reading new work by her and will continue to read anything she writes! Special thanks to NetGalley, Sarah Ready, Swift & Lewis Publishing LLC for the advanced digital copy in exchange for my honest opinion. 5 HUGE stars for me!
#Wished #NetGalley

Wished is the fourth book in the Ghosted series by Sarah Ready and follows consummate bachelor Max Barrone and housekeeper/dreamer Anna Benoit. Anna loves to take care of others and guess that includes her employer of three years Max Barrone, the current owner of a Geneva dynastic-family jewelry empire. Cleaning his house and taking care of daily chores would have to do, even though she has a huge problem; she fell in love with him at first sight. The only problem is he doesn't seem to see her. So when she finds a mysterious necklace with an even more cryptic note of lore while mindlessly dusting the library, she thinks what's the harm in making one simple, crazy wish? Like a silly one to marry her dream man can't possibly come true? After all, genies aren't real. Wishes can't be granted...or can they?
After reading Fated, I was so excited to get Max's story. With his proposal to Fiona, it was clear the guy was love and passion-adverse for reasons. What he wanted was nothing more of a marriage of convenience for two friends who loved each other, but not in the same way. So when Fiona married the real love of her life, my heart did break for Max. I was so happy to see him discover desire, albeit not conventionally. And once again Sarah Ready sets up our story with an intriguing, mystical premise.
Anna is a great character. It was interesting to see how her need to care for others affected her own needs and wants, making her a great parallel to Max. Once again, this book has a mystical/paranormal backdrop that was fun to see in a contemporary world. Despite a few slow moments in the middle, the book overall was a fast-paced and effortless read that I devoured in just one day. The spice is limited but so good. However, I'm slightly confused by the Hows and Whys of what happened towards the very end. The path the story took was not what I had imagined, even though there were numerous hints along the way. Despite that, though, I was pleased with the ending itself and the delightful epilogue.
Reading Wished is like immersing yourself in a world where dreams come true, where love blooms and adventure is worth the risk.

Wished by Sarah Ready is the fourth book in her Ghosted series but can be read as a standalone. This is a magical realism romance between Anna Benoit and Max Barone. A sweet and fun look at getting what you wish for but then having to face the realisation that maybe it isn’t all you’d hoped for. Is the myth of the Bride’s Parure true and could you magic someone into loving you? What if a wish could change everything?
“I wish that Max loved me. I wish that we were married.”
It was love at first sight when Anna saw Max while cleaning the Barone Chateau. The next three years she dreams of what life would be like with him and learns all she can about him while working in his house. One day she lets her imagination and emotions run wild when she finds a magical necklace while cleaning his library. The temptation is too much for her and she wishes for a different life, one where she is married to Max.
We met Max in Fated as he is best friends with Fiona. He lives alone and owns the family jewellery empire. He doesn’t know her name or anything about her until he finds her with the necklace and promptly accuses her of trying to steal it. Heartbroken at his accusations and told to never return to the chateau, she drowns her sorrows only to wake up as Madame Barone. Anna had no idea her wish would come true and can’t believe she has a chance of living her fantasies. Max has no idea they have been married for seven years but everyone around him knows she’s his wife. He has some memories of married life and a strange feeling about her but is sure he’s never seen her before.
Both are confused and their worlds are turned up side down until neither know what is real and what isn’t. Is there a reasonable explanation for what has happened, can they fix it and go back to their normal lives or are they stuck in this dream world. The reader is taken on a magical journey from Geneva, to Paris and Saint-Tropez as the couple try to make sense of everything. The author wonderfully describes these cities, the architecture and the places the couple visit, that you will feel as if you are there with them.
Anna is adorable, so sweet and kind to everyone, always putting her family first and doing the right thing. I really liked her sister Emme and her boss Dorene was a right character. Max was cold and stern at the start of this book. He doesn’t believe in love and passion so can Anna change his mind and show him what it would be like if he loved her? We get to see a different side to him and he did charm his way back to me, especially with his romantic gestures and some very steamy scenes.
This was an enjoyable story but not my favourite of the series. I was hoping Anna would get her HEA with Max as she was always wishing happiness for everyone else but not for herself. I had felt sorry for Max in Fated so had my fingers crosses he gets his HEA like Fiona did. Will Max give Anna a chance in their other life? Is this the love she’s been dreaming of? Will they end up loving or hating each other when reality hits?

Love changes EVERYTHING! Sarah Ready's mind works on a whole different level. Books 1 & 2 explored time and space. Book 3 explored dreams and I couldn't anticipate how she would distinguish that from a wish, but she did! And that difference is a huge part of the plot.
Anna has been living that Cinderella life -- she cleans houses full time to help provide for her mom and sister. Hospital bills and her estranged step dad has made life difficult but they hold on tight to each other. Anna feels a lot of love and responsibility for her family. Max is living a completely different life. He's the sole heir of a jewelry empire and the loneliest person Anna has ever met. She's spent the last three years working in his house, obsessing over him, but they've never spoken. Until he walks in and accuses her of stealing his family's sapphire necklace!
Anna goes to bed hungover, unemployed and desperately wishing that life had turned out differently -- that Max could love her back. When she wakes up, her wish has come true! But only she and Max remembers what life was like before.
I was afraid that Max would be angry but they quickly move on to trying to solve the magical mystery. They travel through Geneva, Paris and St Tropez in an alternate world where they are happily married. Max notices how much better his life seems with Anna in it, and is willing to get to know her more. He's the kind of person that would never have entertained a relationship without the magical intervention and that's what makes it so compelling.

Many thanks to Netgalley, Swift & Lewis Publishing, LLC and the author for the ALC/ ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
What if you make a wish and wake up to find yourself to be living it? Anna Benoit is obviously surprised when after wanting to be a genie all her life, makes a wish which she didn't think she meant to make, seems to have come true. She is married to Max Barone who up until the day before did not even know her name, that too not for a day but a whole 7 years.
What follows is a delightful story of 2 people from very different world seeing each other truly for the first time, making new wishes while trying to unmake the very first one. Will they regret it, if the wish was unmade?
This was a rollercoaster and a beautiful one, with romance and spice and everything nice. A very predictable story presented in an unpredictable flow with the whimsical magical realism part keeping the will they / won't they alive.

Sarah has done it again! And I think this is the best one so far! I love the parallel universe idea of this one, and as all her books this one had clever dialogue, romantic scenes, and a great story. I listened to the audio book of this story as well and it was fantastic, the narrator was great! I would recommend this book, but I do recommend reading these books in order because there are Easter egg character appearances!

The fourth book in Ghosted series, Wished comes with another mysterious and magical love story!
I was really excited to see how Max would get his happy ending after reading the previous book, Fated.
I really like the storyline, it was very interesting when Anna’s wish came true and it wasn’t what she expected. I really enjoy the time Anna spend with Max in Paris, the atmosphere of the city of love is perfect for both of them.
While I like most part of this story, I wasn’t a huge fan of how quickly Max change his attitude towards Anna after being such an annoying and mean person, he’s changed into this thoughtful and charming self….
Nevertheless, it was a very entertaining read. I really enjoy reading about Max and Anna love story! It seems to be the last book in the series, but who knows if there’ll be new characters in the next book so I'll keep an eye out for it.

Wished is book 4 in the Ghosted series by Sarah Ready.
Sarah Ready is an incredible writer, with her amazing story-telling and sharp and profound narrative, she weaved a magical story.
I have enjoyed many of Ready’s previous titles. And I promise this has been my absolute favorite.
Her writing is captivating and she pulls you in and holds you hostage till the very end.
There were funny and tender moments and a few parts that were very thought-provoking. I really enjoyed it.
Thank You NetGalley and Swift & Lewis Publishing for your generosity and gifting me a copy of this amazing eARC!

Anna has fallen for Max Barone at first sight, gathering little details of his life as she cleans his house once a week. But he doesn't even know she exists. One day while cleaning she finds an antique necklace with a note that claims it grants wishes. As a child she wanted to be a genie able to grant wishes to her loved ones but maybe it wouldn't hurt to get a wish of her own. She wishes that Max would love her and marry her, then wakes up the next morning as Mrs Barone, married for seven years. Max is the perfect husband, devoted and loving, but Anna can't escape the thought that maybe this wasn't what he would have wanted. Can she put things back to the way they were? Can she live this life that feels like a lie?
Although I'm not a fan of instalove stories, this one with the addition of a little magical realism was more plausible. I like how the characters develop through the story, especially Max from his stiff and depressing attitude in the beginning to loving and happy. I get where Anna was coming from but got easily frustrated with her holding back from what she always wanted. But as always I loved their HEA. It's not my favorite book in the Ghosted series, but overall I did really enjoy it.

Wished by S. Ready is book 4 in the Ghosted Series, but can easily be read as a stand alone.
When Anna wishes she’s married to the owner of the chateau she cleans, she wakes up in a topsy-turvy world where she’s Max’s wife.
Anna is a romantic who believes in The One and Love at First Sight. Why? Because it happened to her. The second she saw Max Barone she fell desperately, hopelessly in love.
It didn’t matter that they were from completely different worlds—he owned a jewelry empire, she cleaned houses—love had no barriers.
Max didn’t know Anna’s name, much less that she existed.
Then one day Anna made a wish. Suddenly she was in an upside down world where everyone believed she and Max had been happily married for years. It was romance. It was love. It was everything she’d ever wished for.
A fantastic read, 4,5 stars.

Honestly, I loved everything about this book. The pacing, the story, the characters, the tropes ... all of it was fan-freaking-tastic. If you are in the mood for a magical realism romance to read this fall, please add this book to your list. Max and Anna had me hooked from the first sentence of this book.
Anna has been cleaning Max's house for three years, and she fell in love with him the first time she saw him. And then she fell in love with him a little more each day as she learned more about him. The only problem? Max doesn't know her name and definitely doesn't see her until one day, she makes a wish. She wakes up in a world where everyone thinks she's married to Max—well, except for Max. Except, he has memories of both the real world and this imagined one. And this imagined one is filled with love and passion and romance. It's everything a person could want in a relationship. Isn't it?
I know love at first sight—especially when it's one-sided—can be a hit or miss in books (at least for me), but this book was an absolute hit. The chemistry between Max and Anna was undeniable. I know it doesn't totally make sense to say there's undeniable chemistry when Max and Anna don't talk for the first three years of knowing each other, but please trust me on this. The way everything plays out between them was truly magical.
It's hard to talk about this book without spoiling something, so I'm just going to repeat: if you are in the mood for magical realism this fall (or at any time in your life), put this book on your list. I had such a great time reading this book. I'm honestly a little sad to be leaving this world, but I am so excited to see what Sarah writes next.

This was my first book by Sarah Ready and I really enjoyed it. It’s technically the 4th book in a series but I didn’t have any confusion so I think they’re just same location, world & the characters pop up from other books or are mentioned. I’d be interested to check out more of her books or even just more from this series.
Wished felt super nostalgic to me! Like a 90s or 00s rom com or the romance books I was reading in 2013-2015. A very sweeping— soulmates kind of love story. It had a big magical realism aspect to the story which was mostly fun although there were a few plot holes and over the top moments. It was spicy at times and very romantic! I didn’t want to put it down because I had to know how it was going to end! If you’re a long time lover of romance and don’t mind some magical elements then I think you will enjoy it!
Thank you to NetGalley and Swift & Lewis Publishing LLC for the ARC of Wished in exchange for a honest review!

4⭐️UGHHHHH this was just a treat!
You ever wanted to know what it would be like to have a wish come true, JUST like that?
That’s exactly the case with our main girl here, Anna Benoit where she wished to be the wife of her employer, Max Barone.
And hello, POOF it happens? This mans didn’t even know she existed, despite her working as a cleaner for him for many years. Now suddenly, he’s all over her with passion, devotion and love.
But is it truly everything she ever wanted, or do sometimes dreams happen differently to reality?
This was just a wonderful installment to the ghosted series. I love how a little bit of unexplainable magic plays a big part in these stories, it adds a bit of a paranormal element that I just eat up every time.
One way or another, these books by Sarah Ready almost always tear me apart then put me back together again a bit differently to how I functioned before. Almost like a piece of each of her stories notches to my heart that refuses to budge.
But isn’t that something we always hope happens when we read a book? Where it impacts you so much in never truly leaves you long after you reach the end of the pages?
Thank you Sarah Ready for the opportunity to read this series ahead of time each time!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌶️
💭My Thoughts: Wow! This was so so cute! It was definitely not what I was expecting. I read this within a couple hours, I just couldn’t put it down. I had to find out how it ended and I am so happy with the ending. I definitely recommend!

I really liked this book. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever read before. Except for maybe Charlie St. Cloud. Back to the book: I wasn’t sure I would like it given it’s also most a insta-love romance and there’s not really a “proper” build up like one would expect. But this book proved me wrong. The chemistry was electric. I was on my toes trying to figure out the ending. A must read!

My absolute favorite ghosted story! In love with Max and Anna. Well, in love with Max for awhile now ☺️
This series is magical and refreshing and if you haven’t read it, do it. Like 100%. You won’t regret it.
This book is heartbreaking and beautiful. Their relationship at every point 😍 ahhhh. Anna he loves you. Believe it. Always.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for a chance to read and review.

What if you had the power to make your biggest wish come true? How would you react? How would it feel? Would it really be real?
Well, Anna wished was married to her insta-crush and that he was all in love with her.
And Max.. since Fated I was dying to read his story and how claculated and pratical Max would be swept by heat and passion and all the things he though he hated and didn't needed.
After one magical wish to an enchanted necklace, Anna wakes up the next day and those dreams have come true. And then latter, he fell, he gave in to love and into her. But, he lost himself on the way. She lost him in a way that is also painfull. She then realised that her dreams and wishes might not be what she wanted after all. At least not this way!
After that, she did all she could to make things right, even if it meant breaking her heart in the process.
I really enjoyed this book and both characters. We could relate to both of them, and the author has a was to make us feel what they feel, with her gift for words. This series continues to amaze me :)
And we can always say.. Be carefull what you wish for..

”What would you wish for.”
“You.”
We’ve loved this series! After finishing Wished this week, we’ve vowed to re-read the entire series at some point, to once again experience each story. We’ve loved them all that much! Sarah Ready captured our imaginations and hearts in each book.
Sarah Ready can whisk us away and transport us to incredible destinations. Whether it’s Geneva, Paris or Saint Tropez, she makes us feel as though we’re there. Tasting the delicacies and taking in the scenery, thanks to her beautifully vivid storytelling.
’Love, even in small portions, is enough to defeat an ocean of hate.’
The Ghosted Series comprises of four books - Ghosted, Switched, Fated, culminating in the final book, Wished. Whilst each book is a standalone focusing on different couples, each book shares a thread that runs through each book, and for that reason, and for reading enjoyment, we’d recommend reading as a series.
”What’s wrong with wishing for love?”
We came to know Max Barone, in Fated. We won’t give too much away about his story in that book as we don’t want to give away any spoilers for Fated (Book 3), but we really felt for this man. He was a stern man, somewhat closed off emotionally, who believed passion and loved were not in his future.
”Did you ever think about how the worst thing imaginable is a life lived without love?”
Anna Benoit worked as a housekeeper for Max, who had loved him from afar. She felt his loneliness and believed he could love, if only, given the chance.
”All these years, you were an essential part of my life, and I didn’t even know it.”
A wish would see them enter an alternate reality and timeline where their lives are very different to those in the ‘real world’. In Wished, we are once again asked to suspend reality, open our hearts and lose ourselves to the beauty of Sarah Ready’s words, and we did just that. Talk about being rewarded! The beauty of this story and Anna and Max’s relationship stole our hearts. The way this author ties a story together is magical!
’I once said that looking at Max was like looking at something so beautiful it hurt. I think if I looked at him now, it would break me.’
This is a series we’ll always hold close to our hearts. What a way to finish! We loved it!

Thank you NetGalley and Swift & Lewis Publishing LLC for my advanced copy.
Anna makes a wish. She wished she were married to her charming boss - Maximilian, who doesn’t know she exists. When Anna wakes up, she finds she is married to Max but he isn’t too happy about this. Together they embark on a journey to reverse her wish and set things back to right. But what happens when your wish does come true? Will love bloom or will it all end in heartbreak?
I loved this book! Sarah managed to keep the magic that I adored in Fated, in Wished. Her writing is beautiful, creating stunning settings and evocative imagery for the reader.
The plot was unique and the chemistry between the main characters was sizzling.
The twists and turns surprised me and had me hooked until the very end.
This book made me laugh; made me gasp and even made me emotional. The epilogue was beautiful and very satisfying.
I highly recommend this book if you like magical realism and want to experience some magic, because that is what you will get!
This book was a 4.5⭐️ for me.
