Riley loses the job that she loved right at Christmas time. Her mother has broken her leg and could use some help running her inn in Chatham (Cape Cod). So Riley heads there to help out and brings her business expertise to help attract more tourists to the inn. She's left her boyfriend in NYC because he's a lawyer on the partner track at his firm and he's always working long hours. She hopes that will lessen once he becomes a partner. Meanwhile she is searching for a new job that will bring her back to Manhattan.

There are people staying at the inn who are visiting short term, and there are a few who are there for longer stays because they have need for a temporary place to live. This story has old friends, former loves, people reliving their youthful joys. In Cape Cod, there are friends, solutions to problems, and fresh starts. The characters enjoy each other's company, wine, and eating out.

This is a perfectly fun read for the holiday season. It's everything Pamela Kelley fans expect from her books.

I had both the ebook and an audio copy of the book. The narrator did a wonderful job.

Five Heartwarming Stars

The Christmas Inn follows several people but Riley Sanders is the main. I enjoyed everyone's story but especially Riley's. Her second chance romance was so sweet.

Riley is let go from her marketing job, AI is just taking over apparently, so with no job keeping her busy she heads home to help her mother who has a broken leg. Riley spends the Holiday season falling in love with her hometown, meeting back up with old friends (including her ex boyfriend), making new friends, and remembering what life is like at a slower pace.

I recommend this if you enjoy a sweet, closed-door, Christmas theme, second chance romance. Stephanie does a fantastic job of bringing this story to narrated life.

Thank you to NetGalley, Macmillan Audio, and the author for the opportunity to read and review this story. The opinions are my own.

Such a sweet and cozy Christmas book! I loved getting insight to all the characters in Chatham and the Inn setting during the Holiday was so special and magical. This is one of those books that you'll want to read sitting next to a Christmas tree drinking hot chocolate surrounded by your loved ones. This whole book just felt like a warm hug! There wasn't anything crazy that happened or shocking drama, but I think that's why it worked. It was just heartwarming when you need a light read. I definitely recommend for a feel good holiday book!

I really enjoyed this book. If you are a fan of Hallmark Christmas Movies, this book is right up your alley.

It is about Riley who is in marketing and lives in Manhattan. Riley gets laid off, and she goes home to help her mother run the bed and breakfast after a fall and subsequent broken leg. Like I said, Hallmark Movie. Riley reconnects with an old flame, Aiden, who is staying at the BnB while his house is being repaired after flooding.

This story is light and enjoyable. The story flowed well and the narrator did a fantastic job.

Thank you Macmillian Audio via Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.
