This wasn't my favorite book of the series, but it definitely furthers the idea of the Outlaw Chronicles. I love how Dekker's brain works and the creativity he uses to explain biblical concepts.

Ted Dekker is a master of suspense with every tale he tells and 'Hacker' is no different! The way he weaves his stories and surprises his audience with every twist and turn, all the while masterfully creating characters is a work of art and the biggest reason he is my favorite fiction author!

Would absolutely recommend 'Hacker' and any of his other books too pretty much anyone!

Thank you for the opportunity to read this book. I was not aware that it was 3rd in a series and I have not read the first two. I have read two other series by this author and enjoyed them very much. I started to read this book, but I think it would make more sense if I had read the first two. I did not finish and will not post a review.

Really, I'd like to give it 3.5, but since I can't, and because I do enjoy DekKer, he's getting 4.

A friend of mine once described reading DekKer as follows: He's a bit insane, and you aren't quite sure where he's taking you, but for some reason, you just keep going along for the ride.

And that pretty much sums this up. There is nothing stellar about the writing, but the story is interesting that you just keep reading. The concepts that DekKer explores make you want to know more, even while you are saying "um...really, that's not quite right...it can't be."

And so, every so often, I pick up another one of his books.

I haven't read Outlaw (that I recall), and I didn't ever read book 1 of this series (but I did read book 2). They made sense without the others.
