My mom loved Sandra Brown so naturally I've been reading her since I was a kid (yep! I was that 9 year old sneaki f her mom's books to read lol) but felt let down with this book. it does not flow well, the plot was redundant and so predictable, unlike her other books. I honestly feel that she didn’t even write this...which was weird for me because I grew up reading her books..
But Thank you to Netgalley, Ms Brown and the publisher for letting read this

I have been reading Sandra Brown novels for years so I was exciting to receive this ARC. As with her other novels this is a well written, engaging, fast paced suspenseful novel sprinkled with a little romance.
The characters one a female protagonist the other a strong male protagonist, feel so real as you read the murder mystery with twist and turns that lead to a very satisfying conclusion.
This is a must read!
Thank you NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing for my ARC in exchange for my thoughts.

Classic Sandra Brown. It starts with a bang and keeps you going. Setting was great, characters exciting and ones to root for., storyline filled with twist and turns. Can Detective John Bowie and Beth catch the killer before the next Blood Moon? Read it and see.

This was one of my favorite NetGalley finds! I’ve read books by Sandra Brown in the past, but it’s been a very long time. I stumbled across this was and was intrigued by the summary. It took off fast and didn’t stop making me guess. The chemistry between the characters was intriguing. I would definitely recommend this book to my book club!

Beth Collins, a television producer, is juggling multiple projects, including a true crime series. Her latest endeavor involves securing an interview with Detective John Bowie. However, John is reluctant to participate, especially since he’s struggling with alcoholism and his supervisor wants the case to remain hidden.
John’s supervisor has a secret that could be exposed if John collaborates with Beth. He believes that John’s involvement could reveal his own hidden truth. Despite his supervisor’s wishes, John continues to investigate the case, convinced that the wrong person was convicted.
One crucial piece of evidence that stymies John is the fact that several women went missing around the same time of the year—the Blood Moon. Both John and Beth believe that the Blood Moon holds the key to solving the case and work tirelessly to prevent another woman from disappearing.
While this is a mystery thriller, it also incorporates elements of romantic suspense, reminiscent of Sandra Brown’s style. Brown’s writing is known for its compelling stories and relatable characters having read dozens of her books, I was confident that I would enjoy this book. I definitely was not disappointed.
I want to express my gratitude to Grand Central Publishing for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Sound familiar? Rebel Louisiana detective and hard hitting producer team up to solve a crime. Entertaining and fast.

This story was so well done and I really enjoyed it. I enjoy reading from this author and I'm looking forward to the next book. The plot was really well explored and I enjoyed the overall story. The characters were great and I was able to dive myself into this book. It was well done and I highly recommend. This book was so good.

Blood Moon is a slow burn thriller by Sandra Brown that keeps you guessing until the end! Detective John Bowie worked a case a few years ago in which a teenaged girl vanished without a trace. The case was handled poorly and Bowie didn't agree with the outcome. He's had to deal with the failures in that case for far too long. He's drinking more than he should, divorced, and trying to keep his teenaged daughter from running away again. His daughter lives with her mother, but she wants to live with John. He's got his hands full and it gets worse when he finds out Crisis Point, a true crime documentary, is doing a story about the disappearance of Crissy Mellin. Crissy is the case he worked 3 years ago. She was never found.
Beth Collins is the senior producer of Crisis Point and believes she has found a link between other missing girls and Crissy Mellin. They all happened on the night of a blood moon. Beth flies to Louisiana to interview John Bowie about her theory and his thoughts on the Crissy Mellin case. The next blood moon is in 4 days so they don't have much time before another potential victim is taken. As the two decide to work together, someone doesn't want the truth to come out. They are suddenly in danger and must run for their lives. When things hit too close to home and another girl is taken, will John and Beth be able to find her before it's too late? Blood Moon has a surprising twist that you won't see coming. I rate Blood Moon 4 stars with a high recommendation. I'd like to thank NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing for an advanced copy of Blood Moon in exchange for a fair review. #BloodMoon

If you're craving a romantic thriller that grabs you from page one and does not let go, Blood Moon by Sandra Brown is the one.
Detective John Bowie is hanging onto his badge by a thread when true crime producer Beth Collins shows up in town with a theory that turns a cold case into a ticking clock. A teen went missing years ago under a blood moon—and she’s not the only one. With another blood moon just days away, Beth and John team up to find the truth and stop a killer before he strikes again.
And wow—this book flies. I tore through it in under 24 hours. It’s packed with suspense, buried secrets, and serious heat between a gruff, emotionally wrecked detective and a whip-smart, relentless producer. The Louisiana bayou setting adds atmosphere in the best way: moody, eerie, and totally immersive.
There are twists. And then more twists. And just when you think it’s over—nope, another one’s coming. The chemistry? Smoking. The plot? Tight and thrilling. It’s gritty, sexy, and full of high-stakes drama.
Whether you’re new to Sandra Brown or a longtime fan, Blood Moon is a total win.
Thank you @sandrabrownauthor, @grandcentralpub and @Netgalley for the #gifted ebook arc. All opinions expressed are my own.

A reality show host meets with a detective to discuss reopening a cold case involving the kidnapping and likely murder of a young woman. The detective previously worked on the case and isn't confident that it should be reopened, especially when the TV woman mentions a new lead regarding blood moons.
As the story evolves and other kidnapping/murder cases are investigated, the tie with blood moons seems possible.
There are several twists in the book and a developing romance between the detective and TV woman.
It keeps you reading. Recommeded.

If you're looking for a fantastic read, with a great storyline, and a twist you never saw coming, this is your book! The characters were easy to relate to, and the story was easy to follow. I love how everything ties together in the end, and the commonality between everything is the blood moon, as the title suggests. This was my first Sandra Brown novel, but it most definitely will not be my last!

Nobody writes a thriller like Sandra Brown and "Blood Moon" is one of her best. John Bowie is a man completely emotionally gutted from a case involving a kidnapping and murder. A young woman had completely disappeared from the town and her young neighbor was accused of the murder. While he had signed a confession, it just didn't feel right in John Bowie's head. Beth is a young woman working for a television series featuring crime stories. She pursues John Bowie with a new theory based on kidnappings and killings in the region related to the blood moon. John and Beth join forces and sparks fly for them both professionally and personally. Set in Lousianna, this is a great read. The characters are appealling, the story is unforgettable and timely, and immensely entertaining. I loved this one. Thanks to #NetGalley#SandraBrown#BloodMoon for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Sandra Brown's books are usually an instabuy for me, so I was really glad I got a chance to read this one from Net Galley. This was a pretty standard romantic suspense, I enjoyed the relationship between John and Beth, and the concept of the blood moon was intriguing. All In all it was a good read!
Thanks to Net Galley and the Publisher for the chance to read.

This is one of the best books I’ve ever read. It’s so good and worth re reading. I loved the way John and Beth worked together trying to figure out a cold case that’s been bothersome to him for years. He’s also had to deal with a horribly boss. The twists kept coming and I loved staying on edge. Loved the chemistry between John and Beth. I was so shocked towards the end and also wondered how they’d get their happy ever after. Loved the surprise ending. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I highly recommend this book.

A great suspense story from the Queen of romantic suspense, Sandra Brown! John and Beth's lives are intrinsically connected by the disappearance of 4 women in the greater Louisiana area over many years. All abductions coincide with the Blood Moon which investigators have a hard time accepting.
Working with a Production Company to confirm details before the release of a television show, Beth travels back to the scene of a crime.. When she shares information with, John , a detective on one of the cases, they work together to uncover details. Along the journey they befriend strange characters from the dark web, family members lives are in jeopardy, and they forge a deep connection.. The characters and settings come to life with Ms. Brown's writing style and are sure to keep you engaged in the story from start to finish.
Although I received a free ARC from Net Galley and the publisher, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Every time Sandra Brown comes out with a new book, I'm hopeful that she will take me back to the time when I was a teenager and couldn't turn the pages of her books fast enough.
Brown's writing style has changed over the years and it's just not the same.
This book felt like it was written by an old, white man and there should have been some long haired Fabio wannabe on the cover.
At almost 450 pages, I should have DNF'd this one, but I'm always hopeful that Brown will deliver. This book did not.
The mystery portion of this multi genre book focuses on a blood moon, which I admit is not a topic I've seen before. It was fine, but there was nothing exciting about the story or the characters and even the big wow moment at the end failed to pack a punch.
The romance portion had me rolling my eyes and wishing Brown would just stick to mysteries.
I should probably stop reading her books, but a part of me continues to hold out hope that her earlier writing style will resurface. We shall see.
Thank you Netgalley and Grand Central Publishing for the ARC.

Just wrapped up reading 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐌𝐨𝐨𝐧 and wow, it’s a whirlwind of suspense and romance. Sandra Brown totally nails the mix—spice, thrills, and unforgettable characters. The strong female lead paired with a grumpy yet lovable guy? Yes, please! Kidnappings, murder mysteries, corrupt cops—you get it all in short chapters that keep you on your toes. Trust me, grab this one if you haven’t already. You won't regret the ride!

I usually really enjoy Sandra Brown books but this one fell flat for me. The main characters had no chemistry and the pacing is all off. The connection of the blood moon is ridiculous and it is far fetched to think just because 2-3 girls vanished on blood moons that this is a pattern. That could happen randomly. A big disappointment.

I rated this one 3.75 stars. There is no comfort read or pallet cleanser like Sandra Brown, and Blood Moon is no different. In this romantic suspense, every Blood Moon girls in the Louisiana area go missing and their bodies are never found. LEA have not been able to find the connection, but a producer from a popular true crime show thinks she has found it. Only problem is no one believes her and the next Blood Moon is days away.
Thank you Net Galley for a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Traveling With T’s Thoughts:
I’ve read Overkill and Thick as Thieves and one more that I did not review by Sandra Brown. I like her books- they have a formula (she’s similar to Susan Mallery in that she knows what works in writing and sticks to the formula)
Blood Moon is something else. It’s a dive into some things about people in society that can give you the ick in behavior combined with a mystery.
What I liked:
I absolutely love this cover. SO eye-catching!
The chemistry between John and Beth. It is HOT.
The mystery behind why these girls are missing. The true crime angle really worked for me.
Bottom line: It was a good read- filled with sexual tension, a good mystery, a true crime angle, and characters that kept me entertained.
