There was much to enjoy here, but I found I couldn't connect with it. I'd read more from this author in the future though.

The premise of this book is super intriguing. I thought it was going to be more of a mystery/thriller, but it's actually fantasy. I'm sure this book will appeal to those who like fantasy books, but it's not a book for me.

Here's yet another pandemic book, which I definitely would not have bothered finishing in a time that books are easily available. I was hopeful that there would be a redemption of my time toward the end but it didn't pan out that way. I didn't feel like the mail character was interesting enough to carry the story - the secondary characters were easier to care about.

I REALLY wanted to read this because I love Sarah Beth Durst so much. I even own a finished copy! But when the series was cancelled, I couldn't make myself read it and never know what happened next. I'm sorry!

I requested this one back in the day as I had every intention of reading it. However, its been years and I still haven't gotten around to it and while I feel guilty at not reviewing a book I think that I need to admit to myself that I won't be reading this one anytime soon....if at all.
