Thanks to NetGalley and Berkley Romance for my ARC of this novel.

The Love Lyric was a sweet romance about taking chances and learning to love again. Although this is the 3rd book in the series, I read it without reading the first two books and still really enjoyed it. Kristina Forest creates two lovable characters who you want to root for in this novel.

Iris Greene, the oldest of the Greene sisters, is focused on raising her daughter and climbing the corporate ladder after losing her husband five years ago. She is at a point where she thinks she is ready to explore dating again, but is very cautious about choosing the right person. Enter, Angel, the pop sensation who is also a client of Iris' sister, Violet. He is handsome, kind and completely smitten with Iris, since their first encounter 3 years ago. Should she take a chance on love or will their differences keep them apart?

I love how Kristina highlights the grief of Iris in losing her husband, but also shows Iris putting in the work to heal from her grief and the relationship Iris has with her therapist. I also enjoyed the storyline around Angel stepping into his truth about the person and singer he wants to be, despite protests from his mother and label.
We get to experience the ups and downs of the relationship Iris and Angel share as well as their separate struggles.

I enjoyed this story and will definitely go back to read the first two books in the series. If you enjoy a cute romance with some spice thrown in, I would highly recommend this book.

Kristina Forest never disappoints, and "The Love Lyric" is no exception! While this is the third and final novel in The Greene Sisters series, it can be read as a standalone if you're craving a steamy celebrity romance.

And wow, is this one steamy! Iris and Angel have major chemistry, and while it takes time for them to crack, the anticipation is half the fun. As the new ambassador for the company Iris works for, Angel knows they should keep their hands off each other, but that’s easier said than done when they’re stuck together on an entire press tour.

With Iris having been a widow for the past five years and Angel navigating a strained relationship with his mother due to her religious beliefs, this story carries emotional weight that may be difficult for some readers. However, those comfortable with these themes will find them adding depth to the romance. And don’t worry, Greene Sisters fans—there are plenty of moments featuring Lily and Violet!

If you're a fan of romances that feature forced proximity, he falls first, and references to your favorite 90s cartoons, be sure to grab a copy of "The Love Lyric" at your favorite local bookstore.

The conclusion to the Greene sisters series is so cute and satisfying! Kristina is a gem with happily ever after's, and this is no different. I love her writing style and can't wait to read more from her.

This book was so good that I went and immediately bought books 1 and 2 to read after. Iris is a literal queen and the SINGLE MOM TROPE?!? YES LAWD! I’ve read single mom before from another author but this just hit so different. Also, Angel was perfectly named because that man can do NO wrong. That’s a king right there. I wish I had the backstory of the other sisters before reading but again, don’t think it stopped me from enjoying it at all. I struggle with 3rd person writing often but barely noted it during this read bc I was so intrigued. I’ve been thinking about this particular book for days because of the grief addressed in it and how accurate it was addressed and I wanna commend the author on how that was dealt with while writing about something she personally had experienced. I can’t wait to see what else we get from this author but for now I’ll go weep that I’m done with this series :(

The Love Lyric
Genre- romance
Rating- 4.25⭐️/ loved

Thanks @berkleypub for the advanced copy of this - it's out now!

I loved this series and am so sad to say goodbye to the last Greene sister. This one didn't quite top The Neighbor Favor for me, which I absolutely loved, but it was a sweet story with just a bit of steam that I flew through. Iris and Angel have been hinted at since at least the last book, and I loved rooting for them.

I usually read a few romances each month, but it tends to be rare that I find one I love - I'm picky. Two things can break a rom com for me - first, if the characters are illogical or have actions or reservations that just don't make any sense. Second, if the third act breakup is for a ridiculous reason. This book passed with flying colors in both of these areas, to my delight. Angel and Iris felt like real people, with real trauma and real emotions, who maturely communicate their needs and boundaries. Without giving too much away, the third act was handled gracefully and made sense to the story and the characters' internal struggle. We also get to see plenty of Lily and Nick, and Violet and Xavier, from the first two books in the series.

I enjoyed this one. The characters were interesting, endearing, and I connected with them. I love the concept of dating a celebrity and how that will play out in real life.. The romance was nicely done and who would not love a man who writes beautiful songs about you? A good love story that will stick with you.

I recommend The Love Lyric. .

I was sad for the MMC mom was so caustic. I would have liked to hear more from the other "normal" people in his church. The church piece and the open door piece were hard for me to fit together. But, that is probably me.

I was given a copy and not required to write a positive review.

Read If You Like:
- Celebrity/non-celebrity romance
- Single parent leads
- Slow-burn romance
- Themes of grief and healing
- Supportive family dynamics

The Love Lyric is a heartfelt and emotionally rich romance that serves as the final book in the Greene Sisters trilogy. The story follows Iris Greene, a widowed single mother working as a director of partnerships at a beauty company, and Angel Harrison, an R&B singer struggling with creative fulfillment. When Angel is selected as a brand ambassador for Iris’s company, their professional relationship quickly develops into something deeper, forcing them both to confront their pasts and consider a future they never expected.

Iris’s journey of healing is portrayed with nuance and care, as she navigates the complexities of moving forward while honoring the love she lost. Angel, though famous, is refreshingly grounded, and his patient, genuine approach to Iris makes their romance feel natural and deeply earned. Their slow-burning connection is further enriched by the presence of Iris’s young daughter, Calla, and the strong bonds of the Greene family, adding warmth and realism to the story.

Kristina Forest takes familiar romance tropes—celebrity romance, second chances, and single parenthood—and breathes new life into them through strong character development and layered emotions. The novel maintains a steady pace, balancing moments of tension with quiet, heartfelt interactions. While the romance is the heart of the story, themes of self-discovery, love, and resilience make it even more compelling.

With beautifully crafted prose and an authentic emotional core, The Love Lyric is a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy and a must-read for fans of contemporary romance.

Thank you to Berkley for my gifted copy!

This book was really sweet!! This was my first time reading a single mom x celebrity romance and it was SO CUTE! 🥹 I love single parent tropes and the hesitation that comes with opening up & learning to love someone new, especially in this case where Iris is a widow 🥺

I loved our main characters, Iris and Angel! They were both SO kind, and had no problem communicating with each other which I really appreciated. This book did a great job of handling grief and healing and showing what that looks like even years down the line! I haven’t read the other books in this series but I’m assuming they are about her two sisters, who I loved in this book!! I will definitely be reading those! I did feel like the love was kind of surface-level here and lacked chemistry, but I do believe the characters love each other through their actions if that makes sense?? I just didn’t feel the giggling and kicking-feet type of swooning that I love, but it was still a beautiful love story!!

Thank you so much to Berkley for sending me a free copy of this book! 💗

First of all I really enjoyed the characters/development individually. They both had interesting stories and had overcome some tough stuff (loss of a spouse, parental disapproval). Their romance was sweet. The sizzling chemistry that comes from strong flirty dialogue was missing in this one. It was sweet story for those that love a strong character novel but I wanted to feel more of the romance.

The Love Lyric was a highly anticipated 2025 read, as I have enjoyed the other two in the Greene sister trilogy!

Iris is stuck in a rut: she loves her job but is left picking up the pieces after a recent event failure. She's a widow with a six year old daughter who loves her to the ends of the world. She wants something more and feels she may be ready to date again. A chance meeting at her sister's wedding may have just who she is looking for.

Flash forward and Angel, the man she met at the wedding, has written a song Iris knows is about their encounter. Angel is a successful musician however; only putting out what his label wants him to. However; with another lucky encounter with his muse as the face of her company for the ad campaign, he feels like fate may have brought them together.

The Love Lyric is a love letter to those who want to put their children or others before themselves but know that there is something from them too. It's for those who want the push to do whatever they feel they are passionate about and not staying stuck in a rut. Those who enjoy single mom, semi forbidden employee x celebrity romances will enjoy. While these are technically interconnected standalones, I do suggest reading this series in order, starting with The Neighbor Favor.

This was so sweet! I'm not a big fan of romances where one of the characters is a celebrity and the other is...not. Something about the different lifestyles clashing just makes me uneasy. And oftentimes I really don't care about the celeb's pov, interests, job, lifestyle, etc. But since this is the final book in this series I've enjoyed, I was willing to look past it. And i'm happy to say this didn't disappoint! The celebrity aspect didn't annoy me! I think what really helped was their flashback meet cute at the start of the book. First of all, it was a very cute meeting. Second of all, it showed Angel as a musician who was about to catch his big break, but wasn't a total star yet. So you got to see that nervous, shy, slightly awkward side of him, which really humanized him for the duration of the book. And then we have Iris, who I just adore. I really enjoyed getting to know Iris in this third book, because we got to see a real soft side of her. In the first two books, she was depicted as having everything together, no nonsense, the protecter, etc. And she is all of those things, but she also has vulnerabilities, fears, and I just liked seeing this layered side of her in their story. They were both very cute together, and I was easily rooting for them. The third act breakup didn't annoy too much either. It was predictable enough to where I was like okay it's no big deal, we're gonna get past it in a second. I'm also not a huge fan of children having a huge part in my romances lol. Them existing is not a problem, but too much of their pov can annoy me especially if they're overly precocious. But Calla was in the story just enough for my liking, and she had the right amount of childlike wonder to her and not like she's been here before, which kind of gets old. Overall really enjoyed this! It's bittersweet to see the series end, but it ended on a good note. Love the sisterhood that was displayed throughout the series.

3.75 STARS

I thought that this love story was exceptionally sweet. I thought that the growth we got to see happen between both Iris and Angel was very sweet and heartwarming. I honestly think that the spice did a disservice to this story and took away from the love these two characters shared, which was a bit of a bummer.

The Love Lyric was an easy and quick read. This is the third book in the Greene Sisters series. The best thing anyone can do after reading this is show an eldest sister some love, they rarely put their happiness or themselves first.

This was lovely.
Iris is a strong, independent single mom, that I really enjoyed hanging out with.
Do you need to read the first two books?
No.
The books are interconnected, but can be read as a stand alone.
You will just have mild spoilers for the other stories.
Angel & Iris have a progression to friendship before all the kissing starts and that is one of my favourite things. Either they gotta know nothing about each other or they need a connection for me.
Loved watching them build a friendship and tear down emotional walls.
Highly recommend!
Much love to Berkley Publishing Group & NetGalley for my ARCs.

THE LOVE LYRIC - KRISTINA FOREST
4⭐

This book follows Iris a single mom and Angel a famous R & R singer.
The get close to each other when Iris's company hires Angel as their new brand ambassador for their beauty products.
I loved how they had honest conversations, how Iris dealt with grief and had reservations about dating and being in limelight again . Angel was as his name suggests truly an angel being so supportive, grounded while trying to make a difference and giving Iris the space she needed.
Loved the entire series!

Oh how I wanted to adore this book and I just....did not unfortunately. I think my favorite book in the series is the first one, but this one was definitely disappointing. The writing was so simple - it almost felt like a different author. It touched on some deep topics but it only ever felt surface level. I wanted more from the this book the entire time I was reading. I also thought I was getting a single parent romance but the daughter was hardly in the book at all - it made no sense! I just kept waiting for something to truly happen and it didn't.

I do think this book has an audience and it's just not me.

I LOVED this book. It is a pop star romance so there is a little less relatability than some romances but the love story was great. You get to see the evolution of them falling for one another with the complications of life of fame. It is a great romance that focuses on how you make love a priority when your lives are in two different places.

I loved this book, this story was super vulnerable and swoon-worthy from start to finish. I want and absolutely need someone to write a song to me, about me, simply because I looked like I needed it. Angel is the definition of "if he wanted to, he would." The story follows Iris Greene who had her life planned out, but after losing her husband and becoming a single mom, she’s focused on her career and raising her daughter. Despite her success, loneliness lingers until a chance encounter at her sister’s wedding with R&B star Angel Harrison, who’s secretly admired her for years. When their paths cross again through work, sparks fly, forcing them to confront their pasts and the possibility of love. I enjoyed every second of this book and I'm sad to see the end of this series and the love lives of all of the Greene sisters!

Kristina Forest does it AGAIN. The Love Lyric is such, SUCH a cute read. After falling in love with Forest's writing in The Partner Plot, I'm so glad I picked this one! That being said - where is MY rich singer who has a heart of gold come GET ME I want to get off of Hinge my god.
Type A girlies, especially those trying to make room for love in their lives, I think you'll eat this up. Def recommend! Ty to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC! https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/7014784234

What a wonderful wrap up to the Greene sisters. I have loved each book more than the last and have been waiting for Iris and Angel's book since book 1. What I loved about The Love Lyric is how Iris realized what she wanted, not because Angel pushed her there but because she began to realize her priorities had shifted. Because of Angel, her family, and Calla. And Angel's storyline was so deep and sad but also realistic. It was beautiful to see Iris and Angel stand up for each other, be there to help the other person be their best selves. I loved this series so much.
