I thorughly enjoyed this book. as it's well plotted, fascinating world building, and entertaining. . I liked the good storytelling

I wish I had read the first book in the series before I did this one. Not that it was needed to understand the universe or the story, but because I enjoyed this one so much. I grew up in South Florida and knew a lot of Jewish people from New York. DeCandido was pitch perfect. I felt the reality of these people. The characterizations were well done. The plot was engaging. It was hard to put it down. The series of short vignettes after the book's main story were funny and added to characterizations and making the world feel real.
