I absolutely love Amanda Lovelace's poetry books! This was beautiful and although I couldn't relate to every poem, I still understood and still connected to each one and for the ones that hit home I felt even more connected.

This was a beautiful poetry book and her words speak to your soul on a deep level!

Amanda Lovelace once again drafts a poetry collection that speaks to the heart of everyone currently attempting to find theirself amidst trauma and change. As a 30-something, her voice and her narrative affirm many of my own fears and feelings, but, as always, her ultimate conclusion seeks to leave the reader empowered and convinced that they are on their own "right path". Her works speak universally to those who face insecurities and relationship trauma, and this collection is as strong as her previous works.

I have never read any of her work before so she is a new author to me. Some poems I related to more than others but nevertheless could still appreciated the ones I didn’t. The artwork was a pretty addition.

I can not tell you how many times I have recommended this author works. I started reading her poems when I was in a grey head space and I have never connect to someone work as much as I did hers.

This book was everything the other have been, they are tales of the hardship people have dealt with in a way that is raw and true.

It's an amazing read but please read the TW before you read it and make sure you are in a good place to read it as the poems are hard hitting if you aren't ready.

ARC provided by NetGalley in exchange of my HONEST review.

Amanda Lovelace is one of the poets who made me start reading poems. It's been years since I last read a poetry collection, and reading her new piece made me love poetry once again. I forgot how one line can stir deep-sitted feelings within.

Must be a coincidence, but the content of this collection is exactly what I need right now. It's about finally learning how to accept and love oneself. Her poems are uplifting, encouraging, and it shows understanding in a deeper level. I can read this collection anytime, every time that I need something for boosting. It's so beautifully-written, so powerful, yet brutally honest, to the point that I can relate to each and every word.

Simple words. Complicated feelings. But it was direct, and it definitely hit the right spots.

I absolutely loved this collection of poetry! Ive read most of Amanda's other work and this one is by far my favorite. I struggle with body image and reading these poems helped me to realize that I'm not alone. I will be recommending this book to everyone!

I don't know if you could even call this poetry. I'm not the biggest fan of modern poetry overall but I feel like this is on another level of not poetry. Amanda Lovelace's poetry feels like writing down drunk texts to your best friend. The art was good though.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for sending me an arc of this book.

Once again Amanda Lovelace has done it with another incredibly beautiful poetry book.
I've loved every single book I've read from her and can't wait to add this one to my shelves.

The poems made me feel seen. They were so heartfelt and uplifting and I'll definitely be going back to them again and again.

If you love poetry or have always wanted to start reading these types of books then definitely give this one a go. You won't be disappointed.

This is such a relatable and empowering collection of poems. It’s also a powerful reminder for those of us who are/have struggled. I appreciate that it opened with a trigger warning so people weren’t taken off guard if any of the topics were something that he/she/they have struggled with.
I definitely read this entire collection in one sitting.
And the illustrations are beautiful and compliment this collection of poems perfectly.

She followed the moon back to herself is my first poetry collection from Amanda Lovelace. I've seen her books around but never picked one up until now. I really liked the illustrations and the cover. The poems in this collection focus on the themes of finding who you are and self acceptance. Overall, it was a nice poetry collection, and I'm interested in picking up more of her books in the future. Thanks to Andrews McMeel Publishing and Netgalley for the arc. I'll share my full review closer to the publication date.

Another great collection of poems from Amanda Lovelace. This contains similar themes and content as many of her other collections, but I would say this one has a more positive outlook than some of the previous ones. It’s nice to follow the progression of someone who is finding themselves and becoming who they want to be.

The artwork in this collection was not to my taste, but it was only at the beginning and end, so it didn’t really pull my focus.

This is the first book that I have read from the author and I must say it's peaceful, encouraging, and inspiring. I have a lot of expectations from this book though since I've heard about this author a lot. I enjoyed it but not as much as I thought I would. The drawing is interesting and I the cover is pretty.

Overall it's a good read. Thank you to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for the advance reading copy.

I sped through this poetry book and thoroughly loved it. Reading this was like talking to someone who truly understands you and made me feel like Rafiki from The Lion King was telling me to "remember who you are" without ever apologizing for it. Some of the poems moved me more than others, but her words still had an impact. Her remarks are particularly motivating in that she does not change for anyone and always remains truly herself; we can feel her perseverance and the pain she went through which made me enjoy it that much more. It spoke on so many different topics but mainly served as a reminder to anybody reading it that change can happen on your own accord and that only you have the strength to save yourself in every way. I ALSO LOVE THE COVER IT'S SO PRETTY!

Thank you for allowing me to read this arc.

I was so so so excited to get this I immediately downloaded it and sped through it. BUT it was so disappointing! I usually like amanda lovelace's poetry I think she really toes the line between bland and accessible but this one leans so far into bland it was a slog and its barely 200 pages long.

"Like a moth, she makes it her mission to find the light in everything. No matter how short her life may be."

I loved this book. The imagery was stunning, the words hit deep, and I'm so glad Lovelace is back to writing more poetry.

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!

This is my first book by Amanda Lovelace, and I'm not sure her writing style is for me. This is an empowered collection where the author finds self-confidence and indepedence. The voice felt young to me, and I found myself having trouble relating, but I think a younger audience will love this collection. I did enjoy the theme of rooting for other powerful and successful women!

I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

She Followed the Moon Back to Herself is a stand-alone poetry book by Amanda Lovelace and really resonated with me. The poems are heartfelt and relatable and left me feeling like Amanda had looked into my soul. This is quite an uplifting collection that makes you feel seen and also makes you reflect on life and situations. I really want a physical copy of this book so I can tab it and pick it up whenever I need to to give myself a boost or encouragement. If you like poems that make you feel seen, empowered, or make you feel like you're having a sit down with an old friend, this is definitely one you need to pick up.

I liked this poetry collection and I think it's definitely more hopeful that Lovelace's other collections. I do think it was odd that every other page was this pink page with little stars on it - made it feel like there was a minimum page count that had to be met. I did like the other art and the beginning and end though those were beautiful.
