P.C. Hodgell immerses the reader in the new Kencyrath novel in which Jame, now heir to her brother, Torisen, must find her place in the southern Host of the Kencyrath as they strive to protect the city of Kothifir. At a time of change in the city factions collide for power and time buckles under the strain. Jame must also stay in the good graces of Torisin and battle the dead. Great fantasy read.
