I went through so many emotions with this book sad because Pagie was a loner or crazy as all the school seen her because she talks to Dottie who was a ghost. Happy because she had Logan who was her what could you call him boyfriend/bodyguard. Worried because of all the demons that were after her just because she can open portals but at the time of the first encounter she know nothing about it and thought that she was really crazy.
The only person to see the real Pagie was Logan but he was keeping something from her. Something he knew was going to make her run when she found out .
The whole story was a sweet paranormal romance a really good start to the dark world series and I can't wait for the rest of it to see what happens.

I requested this title back before my blogging break. I have ended up with a number of titles that are overwhelming to catch up on now I am back from my blogging break. I am regretfully not going to be reading and reviewing this title, but now I am back from my blogging break, I am looking forward to reading and reviewing some of your future titles. Thank you so much for the opportunity and apologies.

I'm sorry I was not able to read and review this book before it was archived due to serious health issues.

The Dark World by Cara Lynn Shultz is the first book in the Dark World series. It tells the story of Paige a teen who finds herself in the middle of a centauries old battle whilst trying not to be dragged into the Dark World, an alternate universe made up of demons. I thought the idea behind The Dark World was very interesting. The idea of 'The Dark World' was a great concept that I found intriguing. The plot mostly worked but it was very on and off there were moments when I was completely hooked in and others where I was bored. I think this mainly came down to characters. With the exception of Dottie I just didn't find any of them that interesting. The romance didn't add anything either especially since it was plague with a large case of insta love. That all being said I am interested to see where Shultz takes this story long term and will be reading the next book in the series.

I requested this one back in the day as I had every intention of reading it. However, its been years and I still haven't gotten around to it and while I feel guilty at not reviewing a book I think that I need to admit to myself that I won't be reading this one anytime soon....if at all.
