I loved every minute of this book from start to finish. Landon Burke is a hotshot football player. He has dated supermodels and famous influencers. He has learned that he needs to start looking for someone more “normal”. Along comes Harlow. Harlow happens to be in New York at the same time as Landon. They actually meet in line at a food truck, Harlow gives him some sage advice but he doesn’t listen to her. What are the chances that they will ever even see each other again? Well I love a good story of when the stars align. Pick up this book and devour it like I did. This might be my favorite Sara Ney book…I loved it that much!!

I wanted to love this book, because it had the makings for a quick and easy read. Sports romance? Check! Less than 300 pages? Check! Famous MMC? Check! Small Town Girl? Check! Witty banter? Check! However, what I thought was going to be quick and easy ended up taking me three weeks to read because I just could NOT get into the story. It had all the cute elements to make a great story, and maybe I just wasn't in the mood, but I had to force myself to finish this book. I felt like the banter was just regurgitated cliches. It did not feel original. I felt like the FMC was an idiot and I could NOT stand her. I liked the MMC (Andy/Landon) however, I also thought it was selfish that he kept his career/identity from her, when it was such a big part of who he was and a big part of what their relationship would have to go through. I also did not like Harlow's father or her friends. I found all of them very unlikeable. Like, why can't she set boundaries with her father? Why were her friends so shitty to her all the time. This book read like it was supposed to be a cheesy sitcom TV show. to put it bluntly, for this book, I was not the biggest fan.

This book was so adorable!
The chemistry between Harlow and Andy was instant. Their flirty banters and comebacks to each other gave me the giggles. Harlow was a ball of sunshine. She was just the sweetest and absolutely charming. Andy was such a dream. He was sweet, flirty and playful. He definitely got me swooning all throughout the book. And lastly, the dialogue, not just from our MC’s, but also from their friends and family were really fun to read. They were just hilarious and had me smiling all throughout the book.
Overall, this was a fun read! 🙌🏻. I can’t wait for the next book in the series. If you’re looking for your next romance read, I highly recommend Not your biggest fan by Sara Ney as your next read 😉.

This was a cute whirlwind romance between a couple of midwest people, one of which just happens to be a professional football player. Their meet cute was extremely memorable. Loved the potential this book had. Harlow's dad cracked me up, he was truly the highlight of the story.
Full honesty here...something was missing for me, and I cannot fully put my finger on it. What I do know is that the story, as well as the characters, didn't really grab my attention. There was a lot of texting with the friends, and (for me) that was taking the focus away from the story between Landon and Harlow.

*3.5 stars*
Hilarious meetup!
I was in the mood for a sports romance even if it was football (lol). Not to diss the sub-genre at all, but it isn’t the first story I would pick up normally. I’ve read this author before and always happy to read her again so I was all in. As it turned out, Harlow and Andy’s meet cute was worth the read alone.
The plot? Small town girl meets (unbeknownst to her) famous football player in a random encounter in a big city park. . A not so new plot-line, yet this version hit all the reading must haves including a group of besties that provided their own unique flavour. The story was funny and light with the serious side of life and love providing a great balance. Told from Harlow and Andy’s points of view, there was a lot percolating under the surface… So much uncertainty. Was theirs a quick flame out? Could it be more? And Andy’s big bomb of a secret that could go off anytime was ticking away as well. So much angst in a little package but also humour, schmexy times and supporting characters that were there for all of it.
Put it all together and it was a fun, uncertainty-fueled tale of insta-attraction lust, love and life. In the epilogue, we get a glimpse into Andy’s bestie Dex’s upcoming story. I may not be on the fence about him after all. No spoilers - I thought he was kind of j*rk – but I am curious about what is in store for him…

This is a smart, steamy, and laugh-out-loud romance, with a flirty clash of ambition, sass, and unexpected chemistry.
Harlow James is a force—a Midwest girl with big dreams and zero filter. As the creator of the dating app Kissmet, she’s in New York chasing ad dollars, but ends up catching feelings for a muscle-bound stranger at her favorite food truck. Said stranger? None other than Landon “Andy” Burke, the NFL’s hottest free agent—cocky, charming, and clearly not ready for a sassy app mogul who can match him quip for quip.
What starts as a spicy street-food showdown (yes, there’s a bet involved) quickly turns into a weekend of sparks, snark, and sizzling chemistry. Their banter is addictive, the heat between them is off the charts, and there is that perfect balance of rom-com levity with emotional undercurrent. The meddling dad, the adorable corgi, and the small-town charm all add layers to a story that could’ve easily been all glitz and glam.
I received a complimentary copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Absolutely freaking loved!!
You guys I say it every time I read a book by this author but I can’t help it I love her books and she is just that good at making good stories. This is Harlow and Landon’s (aka Andy) story and it starts us off with her saving him from not getting food poisoning from undercooked chicken at the foodtruck. Sure he doesn’t listen and gets sick but it’s a funny way for them to meet. Especially when they meet again on the elevator poor Andy. Absolutely loved Steven her dad he was adorable and hilarious. His reaction to Andy was perfect and priceless. I am in love with this book you guys you should really grab it if you haven’t already. Definitely a highly recommended one from me for sure.

Super funny from the first page! This story had me laughing nearly the whole way through. Landon and Harlow’s banter was hilarious (while realistic gross 🤣) IYKYK! From mustache disguises, hidden identity, swoony gestures, to a lot of laughs their story was great! The only thing I can say is I would have liked a little more plot, but this is definitely a romance relationship lead story! Definitely a feel good read!

It's been a hot minute since I've read Sara Ney and I forgot how much I enjoy her stories. Wonderful, quirky banter. Funny main characters. Truly hilarious side characters (including Big Steve and Kevin the dog). Super funny meet-cute (or not cute but I know I laughed my arse off). great chemistry both in and out of the bedroom. What's next I wonder? Dex? should be interesting for sure.

I was hooked. It was fun and well written. I liked the characters. Cute premise.
Such a short time frame for the story! 🤯

Harlow is in New York for a meeting. She is creating a dating app. Andy is in New York to check out the NFL team. He is a football player in the midst of switching teams. He meets Harlow at a food truck and he loves the fact that she has no idea who he is.
I love how Harlow and Andy meet. It’s hilarious! These two have a quick connection. Harlow is quirky and a lot of fun. Andy is down to earth.
The texting between these two is fun as well. I enjoyed their banter and conversations.
Andy surprises Harlow and it was something I was hoping for.
How the story ends is predictable, but it is done in a cute way.
Fun story.

Not Your Biggest Fan is book 1 in the brand new Not Yours series by Sarah Ney.
Harlow is in New York City to pitch her new dating app Kissmet. She took some time to go to Central Park to experience New York City. When she sees the food truck she decides to get a snack.
While standing in line she overhears the person in front of her order the chicken. She warns him about food truck chicken. What she does not tell him is that she knows what will happen based on experience from her previous trip
He does not believe her, and thinks she is crazy, so he makes a deal with her. Figuring he will not see her again, he has nothing to lose, right?
Andy eats and enjoys his chicken until he does not. He cannot believe the girl at the food truck knew what she was talking about. He is miserable trying to get back to the hotel so he can be sick in private.
Just his luck, as he is waiting for the elevator to go to his room the girl from the food truck walks off of it. He is stunned to see her, to say the least. I mean what are the chances she is staying at the same hotel as he is and she is getting off the elevator he desperately needs to get on.
Harlow has spunk and Andy really likes that about her. The fact she does not recognize him is a little disconcerting but also makes their time together more meaningful.
After spending the next day together to honor his debt, things progress. But this is just a one night stand. I mean he lives in Seattle and she lives in Green Bay. She has too much to do on her app so it can go live on schedule that she cannot worry about a relationship, let alone a long distance one.
I had to chuckle at some of the conversations Andy had with his best friend Dex. I am so hoping that Dex gets a book and deals with some of the things he is ribbing Andy about. But he is right about one thing; Andy needs to tell her who he really is before someone else does.
Hqrlow’s dad, Big Steve, is a hoot. He is such a fangirl. But I am not sure I could put up with his constant “fixing” of things in my house that are not broken.
Finally, there are Andy’s parents. They are so down to earth and raised him to be humble and thankful. I loved the conversation he had with his mom at the grocery store. She had absolutely no problem putting her cart aside and going out to her car so they could have some privacy for it. And his dad’s man cave. The retro feel with all of Andy’s awards and achievements on display.

I picked up Not Your Biggest Fan by Sara Ney looking for a light and funny read, and it definitely delivered! It's a sweet and swoony story about an entrepreneur and a cocky football star who clash in the most entertaining ways. The whole "girl meets boy" trope is turned on its head with a hilariously awkward first encounter.
What really made this book shine for me was the banter. The back-and-forth between the characters was witty and engaging, and I found myself laughing out loud on more than one occasion. It's just a genuinely cute and funny story, perfect for when you need a pick-me-up.
Honestly, while I enjoyed the book a lot, I wasn't necessarily left with a burning desire to immediately read everything else by Sara Ney. That being said, Not Your Biggest Fan is a fantastic, quick read that I'd happily recommend if you're looking for something fun and lighthearted with plenty of banter and charm. A solid 4 stars from me!

Sara Ney has suuuuuch a gift for pulling you in from the very first sentence on the very first page. Her writing is so captivating. It's always amazing to me how authors can take a genre like romance (my fave genre by the way, so this is no shade) where you KNOW it will end with the couple together and happy and keep readers engaged from start to finish. Sara Ney never ever disappoints. She's an author I'll read every time she releases a book and this book really solidified that for me.

It’s a very quick read (maybe a bit too quick), super easy to get through in just one day. The beginning was so funny, and overall the whole book is just a really fun experience! Cute and funny!
I think I would’ve liked to see the story go a bit further, to get more of the couple’s journey and what comes next.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Harlow and Landon (Andy)’s story starts out funny. They meet in Central Park where she warns him to not choose the maybe undercooked chicken at the foodtruck. Andy does get sick and has another chance encounter with Harlow at the elevator of the hotel they are both staying.
I loved how Harlow was totally down to earth, not recognizing Andy as she is not a sports fan. Her meddling father, he made me laugh out loud more than one time. Even when he was dumbstruck when he saw Andy in Harlow’s kitchen (because he knows who Andy is off course).
I loved this book. It was fun to see the playboy have his feelings and emotions all over the place and didn’t know how to handle things, but he just knew there could be more between him and Harlow.

Okay, I guess. I wish the readers would get to read about their first night together in a hotel, but I think it was skipped to the day after.
FMC then returns home, and somehow Andy shows up there. Not gonna lie, it kind of bothered me that he went by the name Andy because it sounds so childish and immature, and I felt like Landon would suit him better. Also, Harlow's dad had a lot of cameos, what with barging into Harlow's home when she wasn't (or was) home and him calling himself Big Steve and repeating it all over the book when someone didn't call him right. I think he was supposed to be this funny character, since he was a small, robust man and calling himself Big Steve, but at times, he was just annoying. I was hoping for more alone scenes between Landon and Harlow.
The whole drama was for nothing, in my opinion.
3 stars.

Andy was the biggest unsure person when it came to dating Harlow, he didn't know how to be normal. Where was his professional athlete suave? None was to be had. Their meet-cute in Central Park is a Ney classic for the ages. Andy and Harlow had a unique balance that made their relationship work. Big Steve Harlow's dad stole all the scenes he was in and who can’t love Kevin. I can’t wait for more in this series.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Sweet, steamy, and a fast paced read!
Harlow and Andy meet at a food truck where he doesn’t take her advice on what to order. He runs into her later and asks her out for a day of sightseeing. He’s in New York to talk about his contract with the NFL. He loves that she doesn’t who he is. When she leaves to go back to Wisconsin, she figures it was a one night thing, but Andy wants more.
This book was adorable! I love a good sports romance and this did not disappoint!
Looking forward to reading more from Sara Ney

Thank you to NetGalley, Sara Ney, and Montlake for this ARC!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Omg this book was so cute and hilarious. I really enjoyed every word of it. And since I read it on a family holiday with all the kids it was the perfect light-hearted book. I always forget how quirky Sara Ney's characters can be and this book was no different.
Andy and Harlow’s meet cute was the perfect set up for the characters and the entire feel for the story. I really loved the way they met and despite the weirdness of it, I could feel their chemistry.
And their relationships with their families and friends made them feel very genuine and easy to relate to. Even though I would have nothing to actually relate to them in real life. After reading the epilogue I am sincerely hoping that we get a book for Dex soon. I have a feeling he's going to give Andy a run for his money on the quirkiness scale.
