Some really great banter!

Really enjoyed this for the most part!

Hilarious banter, amazing MMC, mostly very likable FMC. A few hiccups but nothing so off-putting you'd want to quit the book.

The FMC, Harlow, is cheeky, smart, a go-getter but a little gun-shy adding a man in her world due to a larger-than-life dad, vestiges of childhood trauma, and therefore, much to my own chagrin, can’t believe a long-distance relationship will work while assuming the worst of a man who holds his cards close to his chest.

Our MMC, “Andy,” a high-profile football player known to the world as Landon, holding his cards close to his chest when he is instantly interested and attracted to the cheeky, smart, go-getter, who doesn’t recognize who he is, really is nothing but a giant green-flag man. Literally. He is incredibly tall, funny, out going, admits when he was wrong (cue-opening scene with bad street-meat….), and consistently goes out of his way to show he’s all-in to giving them a real try.

Again, I’m not a fan of that “ermergerd, long-distance never works! Woe is me!” attitude - you’re telling every single traveling nurse, military member, first responders who travel, doctor’s without borders, and so on, they don’t deserve love. It’s very sophomoric attitude. So is always assuming the worst of people when they consistently prove they’re “in it for the long haul” even if there are bad actors externally. Who can YOU control? You. You can control your self and your responses. So grow up. And please do so. You owe the happiness and freedom that comes with such self-control. *steps off soapbox *

Mini preach aside, I love, Loved, LOVED the final scene! Which I will say absolutely nothing about to not give it away. 😉 I can't wait for the next book in the series!

A massive thank you to Ms. Sara Ney and The Author Agency for the opportunity to review this book!

This was a fun, light read that is definitely needed at this time! It was witty, had fun banter, texts that made me giggle (that’s always a favorite of mine), and an overall good time. Pick it up & get lost in the fun

I am a bit on the fence with this one. I didn't... dislike it? I felt like the book was rushed. The beginning was promising but I just wasn't able to connect with the writing. It fell flat for me but I did like the premise. I just kept losing interest but was able to get to end.

Sara Ney knows how to bring the funny. She is one of the best at writing rom coms (emphasis on the COM part).

While in New York for business on her dating app, Kissmet, Harlow James runs into a guy. A handsome guy. One she tried to warn about the food he was buying, but he ignored her. And promptly got sick.

But when they run into each other at the hotel... it's great for "Andy." She doesn't know who he is, and so he can just be a regular guy.

After she gets back to her home in Green Bay, she knows there's no way she's going to see him again. Except she does. Because he's in her town. And as her dad let's her know, Andy isn't just a regular guy. He's a famous NFL player.

I loved it. Mistaken (or well, kind not) or unknown identity. He falls first (at least I think he did!). Harlow has a crazy dad, who’s antics, while embarrassing for Harlow, are hilarious for us.

I love the romance where the famous person finds consistency and real love. Andy might not have been too truthful, but he just wanted something real. And I totally get the fact that she didn't know who he was. When you don't watch sports, you don't know who is who!

Can't wait for book 2!

Harlow tried to tell the hot guy at the food truck not to eat chicken, but he didn't listen of course. Oh well, it's not as if she'll ever see him again, right? Wrong. Now they're having a fling for the ages, one that she knows has an expiration date. Or does it...

Landon "Andy" knows he has to tell the woman he's falling for who he really is. He knows she has no idea what she's getting into with him, and he can't have her if he isn't honest. But will she willingly put up with all that comes with dating a professional athlete? He knows he has to keep her, and is going to do whatever it takes to do so - grand gesture even.

This is a fun, light-hearted rom-com. I wouldn't say it's deep, but it's witty and fun, and Harlow and Landon's banter is hilarious. I do wish there was more about her app though, like how she and her team developed it - it would have given the story a more complete feel. But as it stands, I enjoyed it, and them as a couple, even if it was a bit rushed near the end.

I really enjoyed Not Your Biggest Fan. I enjoyed the plot and both the main and secondary characters. I loved how Harlow and Andy met and just how natural it was. There was definitely some laugh out loud moments with this read! The chemistry between Harlow and Andy was off the charts hot. Their relationship progressed so naturally and i just loved how they interacted with one another. I loved big Steve and Harlow’s group of friends as well as Dex. There is really no actual depiction of sports mainly just talk about the profession. Either way it was a great read and I really enjoyed it.

Not Your Biggest Fan by Sara Ney is the first book in the Not Yours Series. Harlow is in New York for work relating to her dating app Kissmet. She meets a handsome stranger Andy at a street meat vendor. She tries to tell him to avoid some of the items for his own health. Harlow says he owes her dinner if ends up getting sick. Well Andy does end up getting sick. As fate would have it they run into each other at the hotel they both happen to be staying at. Harlow and Andy decide to go tour the city wearing fake mustaches. They have an amazing date and then part ways. Andy becomes smitten and decides to make some changes to be with Harlow. Harlow’s dad is my favorite character. When he tells Andy he can call him “Big Steve” I laughed out loud.

A huge apology for taking so long to get this review out. My family and I have been struck down for three weeks with every possible winter illness imaginable 😅

All that to say that this book kept me wonderful company while I recovered and I loved Harlow and Andy. I loved how clueless Harlow was because I relate to that so hard. Not necessarily with football but with almost any other form of sports ball, so I loved that she had no idea. I totally get why Andy would want to keep it secret and just enjoy being himself. He was just so totally in with Harlow from the beginning and I just loved reading about him panicking to his friend about it.

I totally recommend this one to readers who love opposites attract, he falls first, and hidden identity. A huge thank you to @saraneyauthor and @netgalley for a copy of this book.

Sara Ney writes funny, lighthearted romcoms and Not Your Biggest Fan is no exception. What happens when an ultra-famous pro football player and dating app designer meet in Central Park - but she doesn’t know who he is? It’s a case of mistaken identity and insta-love/lust when Andy and Harlow meet in the food cart line. This is the first in a series and sets up well for book two. Filled with banter and laugh out loud text threads, NYBF is a fun read! Andy & Harlow are both a bit immature; but they are both genuine with each other so it works. I recommend this one to fans of sports romances and insta-love/lust. I received an advanced reading copy, receipt of which did not impact my review.

This wasn’t my favorite book by Sara but I still enjoyed it. I wish the book has been longer maybe then it wouldn’t have felt rushed. A lot happened in just 2 days and it seemed like a bit much.

Not Your Biggest Fan is a hilarious, lighthearted romance that had me smiling from the first chapter to the last. Harlow James, a sassy small-town girl turned dating app creating queen, is visiting a food truck in New York when she bumps into Landon "Andy" Burke, a super hot NFL free agent. The way they meet—over some seriously undercooked street food—is hilarious, and honestly, it set the tone for the whole story.
Andy is totally swoon-worthy—patient, sweet, and super understanding when it comes to Harlow’s emotional hang ups. He knows she’s the one and works hard to prove it. Seriously, he fought for it! Also, Harlow’s dad and Kevin the dog are total scene-stealers—had me cracking up!
Narrators Felicity Cross & Alexander Cendese were amazing. They brought the characters to life in a way that made the banter feel so real and fun. The chemistry between them? Chef’s kiss!
If you want a romance that’s funny, cute, and has a swoony hero, this is it. Totally recommend!

To start with, I have already pre-ordered the next book in the series. This story felt based in realism. Yes, this sort of thing could happen. I am sure that most footballers could walk past me and I wouldn't recognise them. Even the famous ones. There were so many delightful small touches in this book like both the MC's wearing fake moustaches, that really made this a lovely story to read. I would have liked more about the FMC navigating the world of WAGs and being famous. Maybe that will be touched on in the next book or later in the series. Maybe a little more sports would have been good too. At times it felt a little rushed but I still really enjoyed this.

Big thanks to NetGalley, Montlake and Sara Ney for a copy of this book. This is my honest review

This book was so funny and cute! Harlow and Andy are the perfect example of you never know who you will fall in love with. That sometimes meeting a stranger at a food truck turns in to the best business trip of your life. This story has it all! I loved it so much especially their banter and how it all ends.

Thank you so much to Netgalley & Montlake for this e-ARC.

Not Your Biggest Fan takes you on a spectacular rollercoaster of action, laughter, and joy as you see their relationship grow. And seeing how far Andy goes to win her. He is thinking about the future as he falls first, hard. However, she is cautious of relationships, particularly those that are long-distance, and what will happen when she eventually learns his true identity. It featured every romantic plot point you could possibly want, and more. Sara Ney, the author, is now on my auto-buy list.

This was such a delightful and effortlessly enjoyable read! I absolutely loved the chemistry between the characters, and their banter had me laughing out loud on more than one occasion. The way they played off each other was just so much fun. I'm a huge fan of Sara's writing, and I'm already looking forward to whatever she comes out with next!

A fun read. I liked both characters and that it was told from both points of view. Looking forward to more from this author.

Sara Ney delivered in this sports romance. She is a comfort author, who provided exactly what I expect of her books in the best of ways. I loved this book and highlight recommend everyone to pick it up.

I hate that the heroine's name is Harlow James. It was mostly very basic, and rushed. The side characters were a lot more interesting. I didn't think the MMC or FMC were very smart. It was easy, and entertaining enough that I will visit the next in the series, but definitely not the best.

As my first Sara Ney book, I’m not sure I’ll read more from this author. Your Biggest Fan was a tough story to connect to. It felt like an insta-lust where the two characters had little connection or chemistry and was filled with tropes just to fit them in and not in benefit of the story, I caught myself rolling my eyes more often than laughing. The premise started strong, but the overall execution of the storyline felt stunted. HEA not guaranteed with this one... sorry folks.

Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for the opportunity to read this digital ARC. All opinions expressed are my own.
