Harlow isn’t one to just stand by and watch someone else make a mistake which leads to a memorable encounter with Andy even if he doesn’t heed her advice. When fate brings them together again they spend a day together that neither will forget and return to their separate lives. She never expected to see him again and definitely not in her hometown.

Andy has come to a crossroad when it comes to his career. He is enchanted by Harlow as she wants to be with the man he is and not the professional football player that she doesn’t know he is. He knows that their time together wasn’t enough, and he is willing to make whatever life changes are required to show her that he is the man she needs in her life.

The banter between them is entertaining and the relationship between them includes humor, heat and romance. There is also some intriguing secondary characters that add to the story.

Sara Ney has always been an author I'll instantly read without having to read the blurb of her books. I enjoyed this book. However, I didn't feel much chemistry between Harlow and Andy. Their story just felt a bit rushed. Also, the fact that she had no idea who he was just felt like a never-ending topic.

Harlow and Andy meet in Central Park when she tries to warn him about the dangers of “street meat”. When her prediction comes true, he owes her dinner, or in their case a day out exploring NYC since they are both there for work. Andy loves that Harlow does not know who he is - a famous NFL player testing free agency. But when he decides to come to her home town of Green Bay for a meeting with the team, all his secrets are out. Can he convince her he is just a nice midwestern boy, worth a chance, even thought she is not his biggest fan?

This is a quick love story but with lots of fun characters and witty dialogue. I have read all the books by this author and liked them all. I always love her dialogue and sense of humor.

I read an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Not Your Biggest Fan is a great blend of humor, flirty banter and chemistry. Harlow and Andy meet when she tried to warn him off some food from a food truck but he shrugs her off and they make a bet where the loser buys dinner. When they run into each other at the hotel, it is obvious to Harlow who won.

Andy is sweet with a little flare for the dramatic. After spending a weekend with Harlow, he is all in. Harlow is surprised when he shows up on her doorstep. She is so relatable, with her sass and the way she starts rambling.

Definitely a light read, with minimal angst.

A fun and flirty read with some hilarious banter and crazy situations. Harlow and ‘Andy’ meet in Central Park when she wants him against eating chicken skewers, and he ignores her words of wisdom.

Harlow doesn’t have a clue who he is or how famous he is, and he loves it. It was fun reading about them hanging out together doing touristy things in NYC. Each of them have hilarious conversations and/or text messages with friends that add to the fun.

Even though Andy/Landon is a NFL star, the only thing pertaining to football is Landon’s interest in finding a new team to give him a huge contract. This has total RomCom vibes and some over-the-top situations that kept me laughing and reading for more.

I would have liked a chapter showing Harlow at one of Landon’s games and meeting or interacting with some of the WAGs. I’m interested in his friend Dex’s story.

I received a free ARC from the author and The Author Agency; and I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased review.

Not Your Biggest Fan is the first installment in the Not Yours series and it was a fun, light hearted tale that I enjoyed.

The story follows Andy and Harlow - he's a major NFL star but she has no idea who he is which was a major appeal for him.

Their meet-cute had me laughing out loud. There was an undeniable connection between these two. They would have spent an incredible day together, and she thought that was it while he had other ideas.

I loved their witty banter and text messages and I enjoyed their individual banter with their friends. This small town, opposites attract, mistaken identity tale was a quick, fun read and I would recommend it to romance lovers.

This was a quick, easy read, but unfortunatately, it just wasn't really for me. The two main characters only know each other for the course of a week during this book, so I had no attachment to the relationship at all and like more of a buildup in my romances.

Harlow also lived under a rock, since it seemed like Andy was supposed to be like Travis Kelce level famous. I also could not care less about football, but yeah, I'd still recognize big names in the sport. She was also completely shocked about the concept of PR relationships.

Also a nitpicky thing, but in what world is Green Bay a small town? Yes, it's small by city standards, but over 100,000 people live there!

An opposites attracting romcom to open Sara Ney’s Not Yours series as Harlow James keeps running into NFL star Landon Burke aka Andy, not an easy thing in a city of millions so could almost say it was kismet at work. Obviously, whatever it was she made enough of an impression on him that, once she’d returned home to Green Bay, he suddenly appeared on her doorstep.

This was my first read from this author and I loved the initial meet cute between Harlow and Andy, the banter and dialogue between them was fabulous and their overall story was lighthearted and fun with a steady flow to the writing. It was obvious Andy loved the anonymity he felt being with Harlow. Not a sports fan, she had no idea who he was and had no expectations, so he was free to be himself. Sometimes you need a book where there is no angst or excessive drama, where the hero and heroine have strong family ties and a great group of friends to add support, and you definitely get that with Not Your Biggest Fan.

Ney delivers a fast-paced story filled with hilarious banter, awkward encounters, and undeniable chemistry between the lead characters. With its relatable characters and entertaining dialogue, this book is a fun, lighthearted read that perfectly captures Ney’s signature blend of humor and romance. Fans of playful, opposites-attract love stories will definitely enjoy this one.

Fast, fun and quirky
5 stars

I’m always game for a bit of Sara Ney’s quirky romances and this kicks off a new series that I’m really excited for. In this first book, we have an opposites attract, hidden identity, sports romance between a prospective matchmaker and the most famous man in American Football.

Harlow and Andy’s meet cute is actually just Harlow berating Andy for choosing to eat chicken from a street vendor. A wager followed by a chance meeting and suddenly Andy and Harlow find themselves spending the day together and getting to know each other better. But Harlow lives half way across the country from Andy. And Andy - well, he’s kind of not who he says he is.

I loved Harlow from top to toe and she was so easy to root for from the very first. She sassy but only because she just can’t seem to help herself. Like when she’s telling Andy not to eat the chicken - it’s just because she needs to say something. But she’s equally a little bit hesitant which made her all the more likeable. She definitely likes Andy but the sensible part of her brain is telling her to pump the brakes. I think we’d all react like her if the situation arose - especially in wondering if Andy might actually be a serial killer.

Andy was a delight and I actually felt a little bit bad for him - despite him being a rich, famous and successful athlete. He meets Harlow and he suddenly realises that the relationships he’s had before in his life have all been lacklustre. It throws him for a loop and I loved to watch him flounder about his feelings and what to do. But he’s still a cocky so-and-so and his boyish charm just made my heart melt.

There’s definitely a lot of chemistry between Harlow and Andy but it felt really true to life in that push and pull, does he like me?, does she want me?, kind of way. They were both a bit cagey to begin with and then they weren’t. The sex scenes were electric but it was actually in the texts, calls and chats where I really felt the relationship between our couple build. It was wonderful.

I’ll concede that Sara Ney’s style is very marmite. You’ll either love her quirky, chatty style - or be very confused by it. But if you’re like me, the banter, the talking to the reader, the stream of character consciousness, will delight you and really help you get to know - and love - her characters. The story itself isn’t dramatic and there’s minimal angst (yes, even though Andy's keeping his identity a secret) - but it just works and I didn’t want to stop reading.

We get some great secondary characters in this story, too. Harlow’s besties were hilarious and Andy’s best mate, Dex, was hilariously refreshing. His story comes next and I am already here for it. Harlow’s Dad also featured some and I admit that those scenes left me feeling various degrees of sad, annoyed and uncomfortable. But not overly so.

I really enjoyed this book. It has great characters who have fantastic chemistry together and a fast and interesting storyline. I would have loved an epilogue further into the future but I’m just going to hope we get to see Harlow and Andy again when we get the next book in the series. But this first in the series gets 5 stars.

This meet-cute was hilarious! I love Sara's humor; her books are always a lighthearted, smile-inducing read. Harlow and Andy meet at a food truck in NYC and then, coincidentally, at their hotel. They spend the next day together exploring the city. Harlow's unaware that Andy's a professional football player, thinking he's unemployed. Andy enjoys that she doesn't know his real job.

Andy is ready for a real relationship, not some model or influencer that needs a boost. When he meets Harlow in line at a food truck in Central Park, he is immediately attracted to her sass and wit. They make a bet, but he never in a million years thinks he will see her again to collect on the bet. Fate steps in to allow Harlow to cash in her winnings (because she nailed it!!!!) and they have a great day being tourists in NYC. The best part about it...Harlow has No. Idea. Who. He. Is.

Not Your Biggest Fan is the first book in Sara Ney's new Not Yours series. I love when the guy falls hard and is pushing for the relationship. There's a lot standing in their way, including distance (she lives in Green Bay, he lives in Seattle), the fact that Harlow is totally in the dark about who Andy is, Andy's ex reinserting herself into his life when he least expects it, and on and on. I loved the wit and banter in the book. I laughed and laughed! Not Your Biggest Fan is another great read from Sara Ney! 10/10 Highly Recommend!

How does an adorable meet cute, turn into food poisoning and then a HEA? It is just a cute, sweet story of an unassuming midwest girl and a smoking for football star.

Not Your Biggest Fan by Sara Ney is a sports rom-com about Landon Burke aka Andy and Harlow James. A humorous and sweet opposites attract romance about a NFL football player and a small town entrepreneur. A comic meet cute starts a series of incidents that changes both their lives forever.

Harlow is in New York for a presentation for the dating app she has created and developed. While waiting in line at a food truck in Central Park, she appreciates the fit and good looking guy in front of her. She tries to offer him some advice but his cocky ego wins so they end up having a bet, even though neither expects to see the other again.

Andy is a wide receiver and is in town looking for a new team as his contract with Seattle has ended. He can’t believe she spoke like that to a stranger and obviously has no idea who he is !!! Things go downhill quickly for him and he’s horrified when they bump into each other again. This leads to him arranging a day out as he lost the bet. Shocked how he has managed to find the one person who doesn’t recognise him!

The best thing about this book is Harlow has absolutely no idea who he is so she just says what she wants to say regardless. With his celebrity status he isn’t used to someone being so honest and open with him. The way she is with him absolutely astounds him and he doesn’t know how to deal with her and her sassy attitude. She is treating him like a normal person and he hasn’t experienced that since he was drafted to the NFL. It’s so funny how he becomes tongue tied and feels like a teenager again around her.

It hits home that all his previous girlfriends have been fake or with him him for who he was or his money. This is probably his first proper honest relationship and he doesn’t want it be a one night stand. He refuses to let her walk out of his life and sets in motion plans to see her again.

The witty banter and teasing throughout the book is hilarious and its not just between the couple. Harlow and her friends have many amusing exchanges and her father is a larger than life character and loves interfering in her life. Andy and his best friend Dex, have numerous funny conversations. Dex can’t believe Andy could be looking to play for a team just because of a woman!

What will happen when she finds out who he really is? Could she deal with dating someone in the spotlight? A few hiccups along the way but it was sweet how he is quick to reassure her and then help her adapt to dating him. I did find Harlow’s internal dialogue went on a bit too much for me and wasn’t sure about Green Bay being called a small town. Overall the book was an entertaining read. I liked the romantic ending and the fun teaser about Dex ready for his book.

This book was so good. I love how the characters are, and the first-time meeting was priceless. It was so funny to have both sides of their story and to see what they both were thinking. The ending was great and I'd love to know what happens with the friend.

So, this book is about Harlow, a dating app creator, and Andy, an NFL superstar, who have a meet cute over undercooked street food.

The plot was interesting and it had its funny moments, but I didn't really connect with it all. The MCs were ok, a little too young for the age they were supposed to be. And their careers are an afterthought.
