I love these Buzz Books! What a great way to try out a bunch of different books before committing to them. Normally romance isn't really my thing but I've found a few in here that I want to check out. These coections are such a great idea.

I really appreciate the Buzz Books because they give me a chance to see which ones I might enjoy more than others. I can be picky about writing style, so there are a few that I eliminated from my list because of the excerpt and others that I added to my list thanks to the excerpt.

If you are looking for more romance, I recommend this Buzz Books 2024!

I try to get the Buzzbooks whenever they release them because they give snippets of up-and-coming books. They organize the books by genre, so if there is a specific sub-genre (contemporary, horror, fantasy, YA, etc.) you can pay special attention to that section. Information for future publishing (like the release date, publisher, and author bio) is also included, which is thoughtful. This particular BuzzBooks focuses on romance.

I was mostly excited about the rom-com section, which is one of my favorite romance sub-genres. There were a few selections that I noted the release dates so I could pick them up.

The Buzz Books Romance sampler is such a wonderful way to explore previews for upcoming releases. There’s a great range of romance subgenres. The excerpts were just the right length to decide to add many to my tbr.

I was excited to preview books by authors I’m familiar with, and some new to me, and I’m especially looking forward to Showmance (Chad Beguelin), First Time Caller (B.K Borison), Hazardous to a Dukes Heart (Sabrina Jeffries), and Heart of the Sun (Mia Sheridan).

Interesting preview! I think 2025 will be a big romance year and I am excited for all of them.
However, I'm most excited for Passion Project by London Sperry!

It’s exactly what it says it is. Might be useful for some people but I could take it or leave it. I don’t think it’s bad but it’s just not for me.

If you are looking to find a resource that will help you decide which romance novels to add to your reading schedule for the beginning of this year, then Buzz Books 2024: Romance can help.

Compiled by Publishers Lunch, this ninth annual edition is broken down by subgenre: contemporary, paranormal, post apocalyptic, Regency, rom-com, romantasy, sci-fi, and sports. You can also look at excerpts by age category.

Before each excerpt is a summary, and after each excerpt is a link to request the full digital galley, author bio, imprint, ISBN and price information, publication date, and publicity and rights contacts. You'll also find editor and agent names and marketing plans.

Since I am trying to be good and read from my TBR pile, I only requested one full digital galley. I loved how this was broken down so that I could focus on my interests first. Looks like 2025 is going to be great for romance!

I'm so excited for these new books! I got some really good recommendations from this list, but I wish more of the books included were 'Read Now' rather than just 'Request'.

Thank you to NetGalley and Publishers Lunch for this Sampler Book. It was wonderful to have a wide variety of different titles without having to juggle ALL the individual books.

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this sampler of upcoming romance novels. This was a treat being able to read a bit from each of these authors, which was helpful in deciding on what I wanted to add to by tbr. One of my favorites was I Got Abducted by Aliens, and Now I'm Trapped in a Rom-Com. I have read all of the books in Kimberly Lemming's Mead Mishaps series, so i was super excited to see how she would transport her magic and humor into a new series.

I want to read these for everything now!!

LOVE these couple chapters from each book, just enough to see if they seem interesting. Short teasers of the ones you like and skipping past those you don't.

Most looking forward to reading:
Heart of the Sun by Mia Sheridan
Showmance by Chad Beguelin

Buzz Books 2024: Romance offers an exciting preview of the upcoming year in romance, showcasing a carefully selected mix of authors and stories to excite fans of the genre. This anthology provides readers with a taste of some of the most anticipated romance novels of 2024, making it a must-read for anyone eager to dive into new releases and discover fresh voices in the world of romance.

From heartwarming contemporaries to swoon-worthy historicals and even a few fantasy-infused love stories, *Buzz Books 2024: Romance* delivers a little something for everyone. The excerpts are well-curated, giving readers a glimpse of what’s to come without feeling too overwhelming. The pacing of the collection works well, ensuring each story stands on its own while still fitting seamlessly into the overall anthology.

What stands out in this collection is the diversity of voices and perspectives. Whether it’s a steamy rom-com or a more tender, introspective romance, the featured authors explore a variety of themes and dynamics, each with their unique spin. Fans of the genre will find much to be excited about, and the anthology succeeds in building anticipation for the full novels that follow.

However, as with any anthology, not every story will resonate with every reader. Some excerpts felt more engaging than others, and there were a few that I wished had delved a bit deeper into character development. Still, that's to be expected when sampling short excerpts, and it doesn’t diminish the overall appeal of the collection.

Ultimately, it is a fantastic way to discover new authors and get a sneak peek at the year’s upcoming romances. Whether you're a long-time romance reader or just looking for a fresh book to add to your to-read list, this anthology is sure to have something to spark your interest. Highly recommended for those who love romance with a variety of flavors to explore.

The Jasmine Guillory preview did not disappoint. Most of the other titles were already out when I downloaded.

I love samplers like this one for putting new books on my radar. This did not disappoint, as I added several upcoming romance novels to my TBR, including First-Time Caller by B. K. Borrison. This is a great read for any romance genre fans out there!

Thank you to NetGalley and Publisher's Lunch Buzz Books for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!

The books that are included in collections like these are helpful to libraries when we are not completely sure as to what books we should add to our catalog. There are various tools that we use, and this is just an extra one that we have access to.
