A wonderful read!
This novel drew me in from the very first page and kept me hooked until the end. The characters were vibrant and relatable, the writing was engaging, and the story had just the right balance of heart and humor. Highly recommend!
Many thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ (4/5)
Comforting, romantic, and full of charm. Jo Bartlett delivers another warm-hearted tale set in a picturesque village hospital, complete with lovable characters and just enough drama to keep things interesting. Perfect for fans of medical dramas with a gentle romantic core.

thank you boldwood books for the latest edition of the Cornish country hospital. This novel features Wendy and follows how she's feeling about her daughters making a connection with their stepmum it also follows Danni's story. I always love a visit to St Pirans especially as other characters feature from previous books. however this can be read as a standalone but if you love a medical drama this gives you everything from laughs and all the emotions. A heartwarming story which features some sad storylines but i couldn't put it down and really looking forward to reading more from Jo Bartlett.

This is the 4th book in the Cornish Country Hospital series and we get to meet new characters as well as catching up with those who are already established. Wendy's marriage ends when she finds out her ex had got his much younger new partner Chloe pregnant. Jealousy of the relationship that Chloe has with Wendy’s daughters turns to something more maternal when she finds that Chloe isn’t as strong as she portrays. When Chloe needs support it comes from the unlikely source of Wendy

The latest instalment in the Cornish Country Hospital series follows Wendy's story. Wendy's ex husband Mike is about to become a father again with girlfriend Chloe, but when Wendy bumps into her, it is clear all is not well with heavily pregnant Chloe. Can Wendy help Chloe, and put her own feelings aside?

The story covers lots of very sensitive subject matter, but it is lovely to revisit old favourite characters - I LOVE Gwen, she needs her own series! A beautifully written book, perfect to curl up with.

I'm totally convinced that this series is getting better and better with every book.

This had me completely hooked from the start and I couldn't put it down until I reached the end.

We have more of Danni's story, and I am always happy to see more of her, but we also have Wendy's story. And Wendy is a rather interesting character too, she has amazing almost grown up children, a nightmare of an ex-husband, her first love back in her life, and she is also dealing with the fact her ex's new partner is pregnant. Her kids keep wanting to spend time with Chloe, and as we progress we get to know Chloe quite well too and I really felt for her.

There are moments of great drama in this story, but equally light relief is as always provided by Gwen. When is that woman getting her own series! I was also happy as there were multiple pregnant ladies in this book, to see cameo's from Jess especially and some of the other midwives and team from Jo Bartlett's previous series making an appearance. Always happy to catch up with old friends.

So many ups and downs throughout the story, and I was definitely gripped. It was a great way to pass most of my flight from the Gambia back to the UK after my holiday. And I already can't wait to read the next book in the series. Jo Bartlett seems to excel at writing these medical based books and I'm eager to read them as long as she keeps writing them.

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher and NetGalley.

I am not sure what I was expecting when I started this book, but I was surprised in a good way. Told from multiple points of view and follows multiple different peoples stories.

Respectfully touches on a few VERY sensitive subjects. There is a lot going on here, but you really get a sense for who the characters are.

Overall a cute book, with a soap opera vibe.

In the latest instalment in the Cornish Country Hospital series, readers revisit the lives of Wendy, Chloe, and the rest of the gang in this charming Cornish village and the local hospital, St Piran’s. Readers rejoin Wendy as she is getting over her divorce from Mike, but when she runs into his new partner, Chloe, at the hospital for an appointment for her pregnancy, Wendy can’t help but get involved because it seems that Chloe needs some help and since she’s joining the family, Wendy chooses to support her in this difficult time. For readers sensitive about pregnancy and other related topics, they should prepare themselves for some potentially challenging sections of this book (or skip it entirely), but readers will still enjoy this new installment and its themes of family and love -- even the unconditional and unconventional kinds. Wendy and Chloe’s relationship and their individual growth over the course of the novel is charming and incredibly emotional, so readers will really get immersed in the narrative told from their perspectives. For those who want a powerful and emotional new read, this is a great contender because of Jo Bartlett’s incredibly complex characters, engaging plot, and cozy and familiar settings.

This was an enjoyable quick read. Wendy is trying to move on with her life after divorce even though she just found out that he’s expecting a baby with someone that’s as young as their daughters. While at the hospital Wendy sees Chloe in a rough moment will she be able to help her as a doctor or friend? While reading you can see the personal challenges that they both face on their emotional ending.

I absolutely adored this book and the journey it took me on. I was super excited to read it and it did not disappoint. My heart broke and swelled and I went through most emotions during the course of this book. It was really easy to read, and I loved the small links to the author’s previous books, especially the reappearance of characters. Would definitely recommend.

The characters were brought to life in my mind wonderfully, and the storyline itself was perfectly structured and had me fully engrossed to the last page.

I love Jo Bartlett’s writing, in particular her Cornish midwife series, but also the Cornish hospital, so I was pleased to return to St Piran’s.
The previous book in the series was my least favourite, but this book had me back on track. We continue to follow the lives of several of the staff, including looking forward to the arrival of Danni’s baby. This time the main storyline features head housekeeper, Wendy, who has a heart more forgiving and loving than most people as we discover Danni isn’t the only person expecting a much-wanted baby & Wendy isn’t the only person let down by her cheating ex-husband.
The topic of baby loss is handled in a very sensitive way by the author, through Wendy’s words & actions.
A heartwarming story of family, friendship & forgiveness.

Book four in the series, and while it was an okay read, I found it rather unbelievable compared to the others in the series.

This is a quick read, you can easily finish it in an hour or two. Very low angst, some romance elements, and the characters are delightful (apart from the one we are meant to dislike).

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this ARC in return for my honest review.

What a story, I loved reading about the wonderful midwives and I'm loving this series about the wonderful hospital staff just as much. I picked this up when I got on a flight and ended the flight crying as I finished the book. Such a turbulent story full of love, anguish and despair but a wonderful read that I highly recommend
