Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the advance reader copy of this book. I want to state up front that I DNFed 11% of the way through after realizing it contained subject matter I'm particularly sensitive too.
What I did read of of this book really built a foundation of motherhood and love. It established 2 POV characters in stable relationship, though with a lot of instability in their pasts, and I can see these pieces all coming together in a heartfelt story.
Danni who is pregnant with her first child but dealing with maternal let down in her past. Wendy - whose ex's new partner, Chloe, is pregnant - is dealing with her emotions around that, and Chloe's relationship with Wendy's own children.
The writing is excellent if not a little summary heavy at the start, but that makes sense for a book in an established series
Trigger warning for Eating Disorders

Absolutely loved it. Back with old and new characters . It was well written and I did read it in one sitting. Gosh you felt for Chloe. Sometimes you got cross with Wendy for not appreciating what she had. You can read alone. but better to have read the rest. I loved the A and E staff. A sad read at times but Jo Bartlett is a great writer and covers delicate subjects well. Read it.
