I love the fall vibes. I wanted a good story to get me in the autumn mood. This just fell a little flat for me. The relationship felt forced in this spicy novel. The setting and characters have great potential. Just missing some chemistry.

this was an adorable story, from start to finish it is filled with so much love, acceptance, gentleness, and fun. I love the way Liza and Matt are so drawn to each other from the beginning, how committed they are to be with each other right from the start, it was the most adorable insta-love connection! I love the way Matt makes his intentions clear and is honest with what he wants, the life he’s led, the ways he’s grown and changed while still accepting the hurts he has caused.

Liza needs some extra reassurance at times, and Matt gives her it every time with so much love. I loved the way Liza found ways to heal and overcome from some hurts in her past, while also having fun and keeping connected to the people she loves.

I didn’t love the overprotective (misogynistic) older brother trope, but I felt it was handled well here by calling out the destructive parts of it while also explaining the reasoning behind it, even if it wasn’t acceptable. I also loved the way the older brother/best friend was called out for his destructive behavior in a loving way that healed relationships rather than sever them.

overall I really loved this sweet, spicy, special story, especially with all the odes to autumn (the best season) and all the overwhelming love throughout it. thank you for the alc :)

This was a really cute fun read!!

It's a very fast burn, right off the bat these two want each other, so I wouldn't recommend it to people who aren't fans of insta-love. But there is instant chemistry and connection between these two and I had a great time listening to their love story.

I really liked that even while being a romcom this book did have some good discussions about parental loss both through death and neglect. This did make these characters more real and likable to me and it made me want to know how their story was going to end.

The narrators, Ruby Allan and Jeremy Gardner, both did a great job bringing this story to life and I feel that really both did embody their respective characters.

My Final Say: This was the perfect weekend read. I loved it. Readers who enjoy forbidden love relationships will really like this book.

This was a super cute book that will get you into the Fall mood! I really enjoyed the brother's best friend trope and there was a good amount of spice included.

I liked the relationship between Matt and Liza which felt a little bit like a second chance romance since he didn't remember meeting her several years prior. It was nice that this book provided both POVs and helped move the book along.

I listened to the audiobook and really enjoyed the dual narration which helped bring Matt and Lisa's POVs to life.
