With many thanks to Netgalley and Avon books for this free arc and I am leaving this unbiased review voluntarily.
This is an excellent debut that kept me totally captivated and became an addictive read. Stephanie Steel wonderfully portrays the claustrophobic atmosphere as an array of interesting characters are trapped on the underground with a dead tube driver. A perfectly executed ‘locked room mystery’ will keep you guessing until the very end. Once the suspect has been revealed it does very slightly taper off but this is still a very good read 4.5⭐️

Ex detective Jessica ends up on a subway with a bunch of people when the lights go out and the driver is dead. Who wants the driver dead? What connection do some of these people have to each other? Overall, I couldn’t connect with anyone enough to get through it. Skimmed parts but def wasn’t for me.

Personally I couldn’t get into this book. I tried abs tried and ended up skimming around more than anything. I couldn’t connect with any of the characters. It couldn’t grab my attention. Happy ending thought for Jessica.

From the minute I saw this book I literally delved straight in. I knew it was right up my street and my god this book did not disappoint.
It is absolutely frightening and I found my heart was pounding so many times and I absolutely dreaded what was going to happen next. It definitely keeps you gripped and the suspense is insane. You just dont know if they are all going to escape the underground alive or not.
This book is outstanding and I have recommended it to so many people already.

I was immediately hooked from the moment I opened my kindle. It was suspenseful and thoroughly entertaining!

A real who done it on a train.
A group of people find themselves stuck in the underground, the power goes off and then the murders start.
This is something totally different and i found myself racing through and literally on the edge of my seat!
Great storyline, cleverly written.
My thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my copy.
