I love a good Christmas rom-com especially with some enemies to lovers thrown in! There were so many laugh out loud funny moments in this one that I felt like I could've been really watching The Grinch or any of my favorite Christmas movies. I expected enemies to lovers, ridiculous Christmas competitions, spice, and a Hallmark-esque type Christmas town but what I wasn't expecting was the themes of grief around the holidays and working through strained family relationships (oh and that thing with the candy cane 🫢). I still stand by my opinion that rom coms shouldn't be over 400 pages so this one too me a while to get through and felt a little repetitive after a while but overall still an enjoyable holiday read. Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the ARC copy of How My Neighbor Stole Christmas!

A huge helping of the Grinch...
This book is a huge heaping ode to How The Grinch Stole Christmas.
Cole is the grinchy-grinch in this case and Storee is his nemesis/love interest.
Storee is the sunshine to Cole's grumpy. But now they are both working towards a common holiday goal.
Recommend.

A romcom inspired by the Grinch? Yes please I am so in! I had so much fun reading this story! If you want something to bring some joy to your holiday season How My Neighbor Stole Christmas is an excellent pick.
I loved reading about Kringletown and all its Christmas traditions! It is a town that really commits to its Christmas theme including a competition to see who can be the most Christmasy citizen of Kringletown. That alone was fun to read about but seeing Storee and Cole compete while also sort of fake dating but not really and also sort of being enemies but maybe falling for each other was really fun.
If you like a lighthearted romcom, Christmas hijinks, meddling relatives, a small-town romance, or want to never look at a candy cane the same way this should be on your holiday TBR. I really want to move to this town for the holidays now!

As the title and cover suggest, this is deeply inspired by the Grinch and I loved every minute of it. From Aunt “Cindy” to Martha and May, a town grump, and subsequent Seuss-style narrator breakouts, this was a fun holiday romcom of enemies to lovers. Storee and her sister return after 10 years to their Aunt Cindy’s idyllic holiday-themed mountain town to help her after a fall. When she’s recruited for the annual Christmas Kringle contest in her aunt’s place, her competition is none other than her once-childhood friend Cole, the grump who is now hell bent on beating her at any cost. But Cole has his own trauma rooted in his reclusiveness and a little Christmas cheer may just help his heart (and Storee’s) grow three sizes.
I loved the style of this romcom that helped it stand out from others in the holiday genre this time of year. The only thing that docked it a star for me was the sudden and (then seemingly) constant sex scenes and graphic language that followed. A little is fun but it went from 0-100 really fast which felt jarring with the tone of the rest of the novel. Otherwise, loved this book!
Thank you to Sourcebooks Bloom Books for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

Storee returns to a Christmas themed town to take care of her aunt after a less than stellar departure ten years earlier. She is not super thrilled at this prospect and even more so after she bumps into someone from her past who seems to have an issue with her. Storee and Cole end up in a town Christmas competition and fake dating, but how fake is it really?
I'm not going to lie; the conflict made me want to throw my phone, but it wasn't the most unexpected thing. I would have also liked to see more flashbacks to their past since they had history. Overall, it is a fun holiday read! I love dual pov, and there were some interesting additions with the Seuss-esque beginnings to each chapter and occasional convos with a narrator.
Thanks to Bloom Books and NetGalley for an eARC of this book for an honest review!

Cole normally wants nothing to do with his towns Christmas Kringle contest. when his Christmas nemesis, Storee Taylor, comes into town to care for her aunt and compete in the competition. When she enters, he decides that he is going to enter with help from his best friend, Max. They are extremely competitive, but they both start to remember the flirtations feelings they used to have.
This story is so cute and fun for the Christmas season! There is family, Christmas traditions, friendly competition, spice, and a little romance. The fake dating troupe was a perfect disguise and the chemistry between the two was so good!

A silly little romcom for the Holiday season. The Grinch meets Girl Next Door!
It took me ages to get into this and I admit right now I probably should’ve listened to this. The mannerisms of the characters are really tied to how they talk and it’s initially hard to pick up on both Storee and Cole’s speaking style. The Christmas spirit really is its own character, plus the narrator, that really outshine everyone. However, once I picked up who they were and understood the plot, I really enjoyed it. It picks up pace, is super silly, but has a lot of heart. The enemies to lovers storyline is fast paced, full of tricks, and really works in this book.
Meghan March is easily a go to for me for romcom and this one is a solid Christmas read for those looking for fun fluff.

Love Love Love! A perfect start to the Christmas season! This was my first read from Meghan Quinn and I can’t wait to read more!

If you only read one Christmas book this year, make sure it's this one. I laughed and swooned and fanned myself. Meghan Quinn is the queen of romantic comedy, but after this book, I think she needs a new tiara. I loved this book so much! The beginning of each chapter was in Grinch like rhyme. A few times the "narrator" even got sassy with Cole. Just spectacular!
Storee has come to the small Christmas town where her aunt lives. Her aunt needed some care after a fall. Storee and her sister get roped into being the proxy for her aunt in the town's annual Kringle contest, in which the residents of town compete in Christmas themed activities for the coveted title of Christmas Kringle.
Aunt Cindy's super grumpy and super hot neighbor Cole typically avoids Christmas after losing his parents 10 years ago. But he and Storee had a falling out around that time and he can't let her win the contest, so he enters as well.
He and Storee try to undermine each other at every turn. When Cole gets the idea to appeal to the romantics in town and profess his unrequited love for Storee, things really start to get interesting...
Let's just say it's not just his heart that grows.

I enjoyed Meghan Quinn's Christmas novella, but this book is FAR too long, especially for a holiday story.

I absolutely loved *How My Neighbor Stole Christmas*! It was the perfect book to get me into the holiday spirit. The story blends sweet romance with a fun, steamy twist, much like a Hallmark movie with a bit more spice. The characters were well-developed and easy to connect with, each bringing something special to the story. One of my favorite parts was the narrator, who added a playful touch with a Grinch-style rhyme at the start of each chapter, making the book feel nostalgic and full of humor. The plot was cute, funny, and full of holiday cheer—just the right mix of warmth and wit. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a festive, spicy read. Thank you Bloom Books and ,NetGalley, for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review!
This was also my first Meghan Quinn novel and I am a fan!

I spicy Grinch retelling do I even need to say more. ...This is hilarious and devious and sabotagy in the best way. This had me chuckling and kicking my feel in giddyness. Meghan Quinn is the queen of romcoms and this is the perfect holiday romance. Did I mention an inappropriate use of a candy cane 👀

An enemies to lovers with lots of Christmas spice. The setting of Peppermint Cove with all of the holiday-themed activities was simply delightful. The banter, snark, and forced holiday cheer had me laughing.. All of the classic characters from The Grinch make it into the story in some way shape or form. Recognizing them when you get to them is half the fun of the story. The dynamic between Cole and Max was perfect. I am interested in seeing if the audiobook, with it's full cast narration, is as good as the ebook.

This was such a cute and funny romance book, yet with some depth - dealing with grief and the importance of family. Quite spicy too. I enjoyed reading this. Thank you, Netgalley and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books | Bloom Books for giving me the ARC in exchange for my honest feedback

I thought that I would find the Grinch allegories to be too much, but it ended up being really fun and put me in the Christmas mood! I love the scene setting and feel like I can picture it in my head. Plus, love a good enemies to lovers!

Thank you, Netgalley, for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This festive story is a delightful blend of holiday charm and sizzling romance, perfectly capturing the essence of a Hallmark movie with an R-rated twist. The characters are well developed, each bringing their own unique backstory that makes it easy to connect with them on a deeper level.
One of the standout features is the narrator, who uses a Grinch-style rhyme scheme at the beginning of each chapter. This playful touch evokes a sense of nostalgia, transporting readers back to childhood while infusing humor into the narrative. As the story progresses, the narrator’s tone gets a little spicier, delivering hilarious commentary that had me laughing out loud.
The plot is cute and sweet, filled with amusing antics that will leave you laughing. If you enjoy spicy reads alongside your holiday romances, this book is definitely worth a recommendation. It strikes a perfect balance between warmth and wit, making it a delightful addition to your holiday reading list. Perfect for fans of both steamy stories and classic Christmas tales!

This was just okay for me. I'm not a huge fan of Christmas romance novels, but this one had a cute Grinch vibe. I liked the banter in this book, Aunt Cindy, the competition, and the swooning sisters.

Ok so Cole and Storee, knew each other when they were younger and then met each other again at a Café 10 years later...well!!!
This story can make you giggle out loud. What a cute and touching story about 2 who were once friends and then...
I would highly recommend this book for a cozy Christmas read. It would be well worth your time.

I was trying to stick to Halloween/spooky szn books for October but when Meghan Quinn has a new release, I will happily drop all my plans to read her books. Especially one that is Christmas themed!
Once again, Meghan proves why she is my favorite spicy rom com writer. I can always easily picture her books like a movie in my head. The inner monologues always have me in stitches and the bantering between the two main characters never disappoints. The narrator inserts here were also hilarious additions. One of my faves: “Up Whistler Lane, on the left side of the street, the two happy humpers kept things very discreet.”
If you are looking for a great and fun holiday read, make sure to absolutely add this to your tbr.

I couldn’t possibly love this anymore than I did. Fantastic! I love any to reread on audio next after seeing the girl fall downstairs listening on TikTok. You know the one! 10/10! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this ARC!
