A fun adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle's A Study in Scarlet. Choy’s adaptation is a fun read, with a quick pace and great visuals. The characters are distinct and intriguing, and the adaptation stands up against others of its kind.

I loved everything about this book. The characters, the art, the pacing all kept me hooked and I read the book in one sitting. What i always expect from a Sherlock adaptation is that his friendship with Watson is so close that you have to ask yourself if there's something romantic going on. That, for me, is a sign of an unbreakable friendship in stories and real life. I also liked that the Sherlock in this story wasn't portrayed as a weird, antisocial person because of his peculiar personality, but instead as a charismatic, social one. I think it fits more to his character, although I have not the original books yet, and is good representation that neurodivergent people aren't always society outcasts.
The only suggestion I have for this book is maybe considerate using a less vibrant color palette to accentuate the 19th century atmosphere.
